The Lake House is our family's private vacation home which hosts small groups of families and friends who would like to spend a quiet and relaxing weekend away from the city. It is surrounded by lush greenery and tall trees of the Caliraya Watershed which makes for a true nature experience. Our facilities run entirely on solar power so our guests are requested to be extra mindful of their power and water consumption. We do not allow rice cookers, thermal jugs, hairdryers and other appliances that will add to our current electrical consumption. Sleeping accommodations are located 72 garden steps up a hillside. The hillside villa is has 6 bedrooms and 2 indoor toilet/shower rooms plus another one accessible from the pool area and our pool is filled with fresh water extracted from the ground. All our bedrooms are fan-cooled and not air-conditioned. It gives the best opportunity to breathe in fresh mountain air from the surrounding forests and the cool sea breeze from the Pacific Ocean only 22 km. away. Our kitchen is equipped with basic cooking equipment and tools for conventional cooking methods and includes an outdoor area with a large gas grill and pizza oven. We have indoor and outdoor dining areas and enough plates, cutlery and glasses for groups of up to 12 persons. Our lakeside lounge features a spacious area overlooking Lake Caliraya with the imposing Mount Banahaw in the background. The adjacent room has a conference table, white board and TV which makes it suitable for meetings. Otherwise, you can watch films on DVD or play card and board games. During very sunny days, this is the only room that may be air-conditioned to allow you some respite from the summer heat. By the lawn is the recreational area where we have a bonfire pit, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, fishing gear, life-vests and other outdoor sports equipment. You may want to try the water trampoline for a fun and challenging work-out!
Lake Caliraya is situated inside a vast natural watershed. The surrounding nature is lush and fertile, and the climate is pleasant with cooler temperatures at night. A short 10-15 min. boat ride away is an 18-hole golf course, a big water park and a windsurfing and kiteboarding school. A 10 min. walk from the parking area or another 5 mins. by car is a fishing village where children can learn to fish (catch and release) while more experienced anglers can enjoy game fishing.
  • This is such a wonderful llace to stay. Perfect for a quick getaway if you love piece and quiet.

  • We had the best time at the lake house! We loved how secluded it was, away from the noise of the city. The fresh air was refreshing and the sight is truly breathtaking. Every corner of the property is swoon worthy and all the furniture pieces were well thought of. One night is not enough, will definitely go back!

  • Literally the best Airbnb there is in Luzon! The staff are wonderful! The owner is very friendly! Ate Cristy prepares the best food and we couldn’t be happier and content! I hope that everyone who will book this place will respect and care enough , treat it as if it’s your own. Me, my family and all my friends will definitely come back! Just don’t forget to bring mosquito repellant other than that, everything is perfect!! We are looking forward to our next get away at the Lake House!

  • The place is beautiful. Will definitely be back.

  • WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PLACE! Aside from everything that you can see with the photos, it's the personal touch. Providing breakfast for our group, to the staff onsite that are very friendly, and the communication between the host and ourselves :) We will be back for sure!

  • Everything about this place were excellent! The whole experience were superb - boat ride, checking in, cooking session with the very helpful ate Anne, swimming in the pool and the lake which kids enjoyed so much, the quietness of the place and the scenic view, it was amazing! The owners were great too, very helpful and accommodating! We really appreciate them giving special favors for our 4 senior citizens! We will definitely go back! ❤️

  • This place is a sanctuary. We love to be with nature and the place did not disappoint. Spacious house and is equipped with 6 rooms. Despite not having wifi connection and given the limited usage of electricity, there are couple of water activities to do which means more quality time with family. It was drizzling but it did not stop us to enjoy the outdoor activities (unless there’s typhoon i guess). Just make sure to bring enough food during your stay! Staff are nice, helpful and friendly esp ate Ann though we brought our own helpers to look after the kids. Now dreaming to have our own lakehouse. How i wish!♥️ thank you Simonette for organizing everything during our stay. Till next.

Casa Amore, also known as the Glass House by the Lake is a private rest house located at the center of Caliraya Lake which is nestled at the top of the Sierra Madre mountain range. Our house sits on a hill at the tip of a peninsula thereby giving the guests a 300 degree view of the pristine fresh water lake with a comfortable cool and windy weather. It is the ideal place to safely enjoy water sport activities, recharge or simply spend quality time with your family and friends.
Casa Amore is conveniently accessible by car. Being a functional home, guests can use the owners' kitchen, gas stove with oven, freezer, refrigerators, microwave oven, charcoal grill, hot and cold water dispenser with free mineral water, bread toaster, coffee maker, rice cooker, basic kitchen and dining ware. Guests can also use the following water sports facilities for free: life vests, 4 kayaks, 2 pedal boats and two paddle boards that can be launched from the private pier. Guests can rent its 4 man fishing boat and three fishing rods. Our house has a game room with various indoor games like chess, billiards, mahjong and poker table, darts, foosball, jenga, twister and word games. Our house is an ideal place for pre nups and nature photography lovers. Enjoy nature at its best with our panoramic windows, high ceiling and open veranda.
The lake is watershed and a forest reserve. There are only four rest houses on the peninsula. Your view will be the lake, the mountain ranges and the sky. It is a perfect jump off point to explore the caves in Cavinti, shooting the rapids in Pagsanjan, the Japanese Garden in Caliraya and the half day trips to miraculous Kamay ni Jesus in Lucban, the woodcarving shops in Paete and barong or jusi terno shops in Lumban.
  • We didn't know what to expect when we booked our trip. The drive was pretty long so keep that in mind for elderly drivers. In our case, my father in law drove and, not really knowing what to expect, we were kind of worried on our way there. But once we got to the place, man, we were amazed! We had a perfect experience at Casa Amore! From the layout of the house to the decors, the view and the assistance from Raquel and Mabel - made it a perfect stay! We came as a family and we were able to relax and focus on each other. I can't express enough how great it all was. Just make sure that you plan well because there are no stores nearby. We were lucky that we were able able to send Ruben-the guy that was assisting us at the lake- for a quick run to the store because he had a motorcycle. Again, it was a wonderful overall experience!

    Jessa2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a wonderful time at Casa Amore. Everything went smoothly as expected. The caretaker/helpers attended to our needs . The place was big enough to accommodate 14 comfortably. We had the place entirely to ourselves ( there was only 5 of us) and enjoyed playing pool and chess at the basement and use the kayak and paddle boats to go to the neighboring island. There is a videoke bar also. Lot's of interesting curios and nooks to captivate. Even the two black labradors were pleasantly tame and quiet. The road going to the place added to the adventure of finding this cozy and quaint delightful house by the lake . If you are coming from Mandaluyong or Quezon City, better take the MARILAQUE route going to Lumban which saves you 1 hour vs. the SLEX-Calamba route. Mr Rivera is a great host. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place.

    Christine2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to go with a big group! The house is very big. You can also be loud and no one would complain since the house is isolated. The caretakers are also very helpful and courteous. Only drawback are the old beds but they aren't too bad. Will definitely be back.

    Michael Edward2017-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to detox from tech gadgets and de-stress. Very spatious. Will come back again. Value for money.

  • Loved staying at Casa Amore. Beautiful place and peaceful surroundings. Highly recommended!

    Peter2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures do not do justice to how cool and awesome Casa Amore is. The house is situated perfectly along the lakeshore and offers a really nice view of Caliraya Lake. Francisco and his helpers were easy to communicate with as well. We actually had an incident but they handled it well. Ameneties were also complete and a lot of activities can be done during your stay. I recommend you guys to book 3days 2 nights as 1 night feels really short. The only negative comment I'll have is probably the road leading up to the house but it doesn't really matter as it sure was worth it when you get to the Casa. 5 stars!

    Jek2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Good 1. The property offers a great and relaxing view of Caliraya lake. 2 It has a spacious dining and living room. 3. Free use of water sports equipment with a dedicated lifeguard on standby to assist. 4. Comes with a game room: billiards, chess etc. for additional entertainment 5. Each bedroom has its own toilet and bath 6. There's a staff in the premises to help with cleaning. 7. Staff prepared welcome drink for us upon our arrival. 8. Francisco is very quick to respond to my inquiries. Things to note: 1. It takes approx. 2.5hrs to 3 hours to get to this property from Manila. 2. Be sure to buy all food and materials you need before going to this property. There are no near supermarket or stores nearby. 3. Water strength is a bit weak during showering. 4. There are big dogs (they seem to be amicable though) living outside the property. Need to consider this if you or anyone in your group are scared of dogs.

    Irene2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • What you saw on the photos dont does bot do justice to the beauty of Francisco’s house. But i do recommend you ask the maids to help you with all his guard dogs who bark so loud at night. Other than that, it was great!! Value for money at its finest.

Retreat to a small and secluded island with a simple but comfortable bungalow, in a tranquil lake in the mountains around 3 hours from Manila. The house has one bedroom, a kitchen, a spacious living room--and stunning views of the lake!
We were lucky to have found this place and we’d like to share it with others. It is a small and secluded island in a tranquil lake in the Sierra Madre mountains, with a simple but comfortable bungalow on top of a grass-covered knoll that gently slopes down to the water. From the road, you can only reach our island by a ten-minute boat ride. When you get there, it becomes difficult to believe that you’re only three hours away from the big city. Our island is an ideal destination for couples, families, or small groups of friends seeking to escape from the frenzied pace of the metropolis (or for that matter, of Tagaytay, Laiya, or Subic). The 80-square meter house has one bedroom, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and spacious living room. The bedroom includes a queen-size bed, a separate day bed (for reading, or for an extra guest), a closet, and a great view of the lake. There are comfortable sleeping mats for seven extra guests who can spread them out in the cool and spacious living room. A separate study where you can relax, gather your thoughts, or shack up for a night of board games is close to the main house. You can choose to eat in the dining area in the kitchen, in a separate dining hall found farther down the way, past an outdoor kitchen and grill area—or al fresco, as we like to do, by taking our table and chairs to the grassy area by the water. The dining hall can also double as a small function room for meetings or parties. There is also a ‘dap-ay’ (a circle of stones surrounding a fire pit) at the head of the island where you can have bonfires. The island isn’t connected to the grid, but since we come here to retreat from the city, we actually don’t mind. We only use a small and trusty generator from dusk til midnight, but if you’d like to have it on all day, we can adjust our fees. With the isolation and quiet, clean mountain air, and the comfort of a rustic lake house all only a short distance from Manila, our island is a perfect venue for quick weekend getaways, family picnics, barkada outings, organizational meetings, or even a small garden wedding. It is also ideal for long-term stays for those who want to finish writing a play, thesis, or novel. Have a look at the pictures and send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you. ☺
  • The island was small and quite. It's a great way to get out of the city! The house was well kept and clean. The weather wasn't in our favor as it rained the entire time we were there but there were plenty of board games and cards to keep us busy! Thank you for a great stay!

    Jerome2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to unwind and relax. Complete with cooking equipment and even some condiments. The house is big enough to house at least 10pax

    Angeline2015-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the island was delightful! Just be sure to check the weather before going on your trip. We got stuck in the morning before leaving because it was raining heavily, but we didn't mind because it was cozy in the house itself.

    Keisha2016-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Dreamy location, accommodating host. We enjoyed bonfire and BBQ while watching sunset over the lake and later at night, a sky full of stars. I regret we didn't bring a lantern, so it'll be in the check list on next visit.

    Yuko2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sundang Island is a great getaway both for barkadas, families, and in our case, a couple. Totally private, serene, and tranquil. At night, yoi can only hear the swooshing of the air, chirps of the birds, and nature. You can even go naked if you want! Lol! The kitchen is equipped with complete stuff so you don't need to bring anything but food during your stay. Bring portable speakers if you want as it could be very silent in the evening, you might get bored. Electricity only runs from 6pm to 12nn so charge all your devices during that time. Kuya Tony is also helpful. If you want a perfect place to get away from the busyness of the city, you gotta go here.

    Jerny2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Good value for money. Good place to a short get-off-the-grid getaway.

    Philip Marc2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Just pack your bags and go. You won't regret one second on that island no matter how far it is from the cities. One night is not enough to take in the magic and serenity of this place. Specific details don't apply to this place; you should experience it for yourselves.

To briefly describe the island, its our paradise on earth and has everything you need to relax and enjoy nature.
The house is comfortable for 6 persons, with orthopedic beds, 1 king size and 1 queen size in separate bedrooms. (plus mattresses for additional bed space) The almost 3 hectare island has many great areas for camping. If you are a bigger group than 6, we accept campers too. The house offer a fully equipped kitchen, 2 set of dining tables with chairs, living room with a very soft and comfortable L-shape sofa, and a CR with modern toilet and rain shower. Sport equipments such as fishing gear Kayaks, wake boards, badminton, and assorted garden games are are for you to enjoy during your stay. Hammocks, air sofas and garden stools are available and can be set up at any location over the island. There is a Weber charcoal griller plus a bonfire pit. (Don’t forget to bring BBQ meat/fish and marshmallows.) The island also have numerous of different fruit bearing trees and about 100 coconut trees. Ask the caretaker to serve you fruits, it’s free :-)
  • We loved the place! It’s very serene and beautiful! We’ll definitely go back to this place and I would highly recommend this place to people who loves a quick getaway. It’s affordable and accurate! We also loved how nice and accommodating the caretakers were and the hostess was so considerate and kind!

  • Amazing place, we will be back Tip: bring lifejackets as the lake is really deep. Also fan cause electricity runs 6pm to 12mn only.

  • Very nice private property.. Good for those who wants camping with friends :)

    Zharmaine2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing getaway! Will be back soon!

    Jon2018-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very serene and peaceful. The caretakers are very hospitable and beyond helpful. Make sure to bring your own toiletries especially towels and buy lots of ice beforehand if you have any perishables due to limited electricity. Overall, an amazing stay. Would definitely recommend :)

    Jade Louise2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Despite the rainy/gloomy weather, we had an awesome time! The view itself was a so calming. You'll find inner peace just staring at the calmness of the lake and the island itself. The care takers were friendly and accommodating! Every request was done with no hesitation. Unlimited kayaks & the raft was fun! Buko-refreshing! Too bad we haven't had a chance to play sports outside because of the weather but it was all good tho. There was no electricity at our first night so a refund was settled. But it was resolved immediately at our second night. Families/ set of friends will definitely have a great time here! With good planning and having a spontaneous spirit, oh man... worth the stay! Make it 3 days and 2 nights! You wont regret it!

    Paoline2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the best and most memorable stays we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely come back soon.

    Maria Fidela Diosa2018-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Suzette for being a great host and for answering all my queries. The place is so relaxing and perfect for those who loves nature. The view of Mt. Banahaw is so picturesque and the unlimited use of their kayaks is a plus factor. The caretakers of the place are so helpful and hospitable. They were attentive to all our needs and even volunteered to grill the fresh tilapia that we bought. Too bad that we were not able to swim in the lake because we don't have a life vest with us. But overall, we still had a great time and enjoyed our short vacation in the island. We will come back here in the future for sure and will recommend the place to our friends. Thanks again for sharing this little piece of paradise to your guests.

Explore, Experience, Enjoy GLAMPINGxBLOC: "Where Art and Architecture meet Adventure!" New. Revolutionary. Innovative. Uniquely Cool! Note: Although available for just 1pax, the GxB ExoTent is ideal for a romantically dating Couple or 2pax max. The price indicated here is for 1pax or a solo Guest. Indicate 2 Guests during Booking if for 2pax. Only adult Guests are allowed. Most of our past Guests were Couples celebrating their Anniversaries or (surprise) Birthdays and some were Honeymooners!
At the BLOC Camp Site, you'll see Glamping Tents big and small pitched along the lakeshore. They all look great but your private Glamping spot looks insanely superb! It's THE center of attraction. It stands out among the others and it's the most premium accommodation. It combines the best of the indoors and the outdoors. Inside, you'll enjoy the sexy and bouncy bed complete with soft and smooth linen, bed sheet, blanket, and comforter. A furry carpet or rug will meet your feet as you step out of the bed. At the head is a console table where towels and toiletries are neatly placed. At both sides are ottoman box tables with storage space. There's a relaxing lounging chair also inside. Atop the tent are low energy consuming but bright LED lights. Although it's already cold up there, there's a stand box fan at the corner to circulate the natural ventilation coming passively thru the screened door access and windows. Outside, there's a rigid steel garden table at the center matched with 2 geometrically designed modernist chairs. It is lit on top by a cable-suspended array of LED lights that is so picturesque especially at night. An ice cooler stand bag that also serve as an auxiliary table can be found at the side. A pair of camping chairs is juxtaposed at each center module. And the most relaxing feature is the suspended hammock at the end of the wood planks-clad al fresco deck. To fuse them all, it's truly where Art and Architecture meet Adventure! =)
The BLOC Camp Site is located on top of the Sierra Madre mountains surrounded by the fresh water Sierra Lake. Temperature here is kinda cold that sometimes we describe it: "As cold as Baguio and as windy as Tagaytay!" In here, you will truly experience the great outdoors and the spirit of nature-adventure camping. There are still lots of beautiful wild and farm animals that you can see around from afar. There are times when you'll see a flock of black birds; on other times, flocks of white birds. And sometimes, you'll be lucky to spot multi-coloured birds. There are Kingfishers and our favourite, Hawks that are soaring up high spotting a fish to catch. At the lake, one will catch the game-fishing favourite American Black Bass. In the Philippines, this super delicious fish locally known as Apahap can only be caught in these fresh water twin lakes, Lake Caliraya and Sierra Lake. Abundant also here are Tilapia, Biya, Ayungin, Dalag, Hito, and Shrimps! Lake shells and clams are also present like Tulya, Paros, and the native Kuhol (Suso) also known as Escargot abroad. Guest Campers particularly the foreigners appreciate the presence of farm animals around like the horses, goats, ducks, chicken, and carabaos. You will enjoy more nature sight-seeing especially when you go on a lake island-hopping trip adventure!
  • We love the place. It's a nice place to relax. If you just want to escape from the busy city life and stressful job bloc camp site is a place to go. The owners and the staffs are very friendly. Infact they treat you as family. We're looking forward to our next glamping :)

  • We wish we stayed for another night. It’s always nice to reconnect with nature especially when living in a noisy and busy city. The owner even had a thoughtful gesture after knowing that we’re celebrating a special occasion. The staff are very accommodating and always willing to help when needed. Highly recommending this place to anyone who wants to do an outdoor activity but not as experienced in camping.

  • What we wanted was an escape from the city and this was exactly what we got. Bloc in Sierra or Lumot lake is around a 4-5 hour drive from Manila. Commuting is possible but I imagine there is a huge difference in the conveniece of bringing a car. Not just for bringing camping supplies, which will definitely be needed, but to reach the camp site as well. They basically provide just the accommodation and basic necessities. The tents are well kempt. The rafts on the lake are a very picturesque addition as well. Not sure how I feel about the merged toilet and rain shower. There were 3 showers, 1 was merged in a cubicle with a toilet, 1 with a cubicle with a urinal, 1 with a sink. I had a hard time picking which was the best option, as the one with just a sink had a weird smell. If a relaxed getaway is what you’re looking for, this might be place. Definitely better if done as a group and if you’re an outdoorsy person.

Explore the beauty of nature in this astonishing mountain top lake with a breathtaking view. Our island offers an ambiance of a peaceful country setting where you can experience serenity away from your busy life.
If you want a great outdoor experience: whether it's camping, swimming, fishing, boating, bonfire, horseback riding or just laying back and enjoying your much needed vacation, Green Valley island is the spot for you. Stay in our simple nipa hut equipped with bunk beds that can sleep 4 people or just enjoy the outdoors through pitched tents. If you want to ensure that you will be the only guests in the island, we will gladly block the calendar for a fee of $200 which will entitle you to a total of 20 guests. Otherwise, please allow us to share the place with other guests who may book on the same day as you. Please see our other listing under greenvalley2...we built twin huts that can accommodate 6 guests each and 2 cabanas facing the lake that can accommodate 4 people. There is a small native dining hall across the nipa hut where you can enjoy the meals that you have prepared or you can ask our caretaker to cook them for you at a small fee. We have a fire pit at the top most portion of the island where you can enjoy grilling hotdogs or marshmallows under the star-lit skies. Experience dining at our floating cabana which also serves as our launch pad for swimming. We strictly adhere to a "no-life vest, no-swimming policy" since safety is our foremost concern. Life vests will be provided for those who intend to swim. We have solar electricity good for lighting and charging your gadgets. If you want to stay connected with the outside world, we will provide you with a wi-fi. The island is an animal friendly environment...we have 2 horses, 1 carabao, 4 turkeys and chickens roaming around. However, we will ensure that you will not be bothered by them during your stay. You are free to bring your own pets if you wish, they, too, deserve a vacation. By the way, please keep in mind that staying outdoors would also mean welcoming nature's harmless creatures...some frogs here and there, flies and insects. I guess it comes with Nature;)
  • Third time's a charm! We will definitely be back (again and again and again...). The place is just magical. We had the whole island (with an amazing view of the sunset, the lake, and the mountain) all to ourselves. Plus, there was nanay amy (and tatay lito) who wld always attend to our needs.

    Mec2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ibeth's place at Laguna was nothing short of spectacular. This trip is already climbing up the charts as one of my best roadtrips:) the place itself is a paradise... but the real winners were the caretakers... nanay amy and tatay lito!:) everything was taken care of by these two! Kudos also to Ibeth for always replying to us and for being so accommodating!

  • Me and my friends went here last weekend. We fell in love with the place as soon as we stepped out from the boat. Furry friends welcome us wagging their tails left and right indicating their excitement and happiness. Happy, Brownie, Negra and Miming. :) Everything is so green and serene. It's a place that can give you this calm feeling that you can never find in the city. Simple life away from the busy and fast paced environment. Ate amy and her husband are very easy to be with and she always have a smile on her face adding to the very positive energy of the place. This is a place to remember and definitely needs to be visited anytime soon. Kudos to Atty. Ibeth who is very responsive to my queries. I don't usually do reviews but I really love the simplicity ,the seclusion and the serenity of this place.

  • Booking this resort a few days before new year was an impulsive decision and we didn't regret it one bit! Good value for money, great location, good amenities. We stayed here on new year's eve and I must say, it's such a relief to be away from all the noise back in Manila! This secluded island is beautiful, quiet and serene! Ate Amy and Kuya Lito were great to talk to. Ate Amy has the sweetest laugh. We warmed up to her right away. This island is easy to get to, just 10 mis from Lumot Lake port. They have all the cookware, utensils and water you need for a quick stay. The toilet was impressive as they had an actual porcelain bowl with a working flush, and a shower next door to boot! I gotta say, the highlights for me were swimming from our island to an islet nearby (takes less than 10mins -- wear a vest!) and the dogs lumot, negra, piccolo. I wasn't able to interact with the other dog and 1 pup AND the 2 horses on the property! lol! I absolutely recommend this is you're looking for a quick getaway from Manila. Be warned though, it's cold there from October to February so don't forget to bring a jacket!

  • Green valley island is the best! We went there to do a prenup photoshoot during the day, and ibeth was very kind to accomodate us. The caretaker of the island was so polite and attentive to our needs. We were so in love with this island that we plan to come back again and stay overnight with the whole family. We had so much fun because there were a lot of beautiful sceneries , the photoshoot became very relaxing and easy. We would definitely be back soon!

    Dee2017-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • the place was exactly how i imagined it to be. it was the best place for the type of vacation which my family needed. i'd say the whole experience was lovely. the host and the caretakers really took care of us and our needs... will definitely come back. thanks!

    Allan2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • For me, the most important is the communication and Ms. Ibeth is really nice to converse with. She responds to all my queries as soon as possible and gives considerations. The care takers, Nanay Amy and Tatay Lito are so warm and welcoming. They are such a great example of the hospitality known for Filipinos. Nanay Amy is always there to attend to our needs in the kitchen and tatay Lito helped us with arranging our things and to our, seems to be, endless questions. The place is what it is advertised. What you see on the pictures is definitely what it is when you get there. There are enough beds for up to 20 persons, there's just 13 of us during our stay. The bathrooms are really clean. There is a separate shower room and 2 toilet rooms, both has a flush and one with bidet. One kubo even has its own sink. The floating cabana has this really cool coloured led lights at night and is very ideal for late night drinks. A floating raft with seats is also tied beside the cabana. It is a little difficult to have a bonfire since rain keeps on coming then go afterwards but with the advice and help of Tatay Lito, some of my cousins looked for old branches and dried them on of the cabana near the fire pit. In the evening, starting the fire is a trial and error. The woods are quite wet due to light rain but eventually we're able to start a fire and begin toasting our marshmallows. If you are okay with off-grid living then this place is right for you. Solar panels are used to generate power. Since they do not have the usual electrical outlet plugs, it is advisable to bring a connector similar to what is used in cars where you can connect a USB type connector. Network signal is good. The only bar here is that it is quite hard to recharge your cellphones especially at night and also when there is no enough sunlight. Also, the island has several dogs, there are 4 adults dogs and 2 puppies during our stay, and they are really friendly though some of my uncles gets annoyed sometimes when they go closely to you when you eat. But generally having these dogs is really fun. Most especially we also brought our own dog and he was able to play with them. Two horses are also present, one female who's pregnant that time, and a male one. There are also chickens and one goose or something. I'm not sure of what it is. Over all, our holiday in the island is very memorable. The view makes you somehow feel that you're in a different country. All greens and lake waters paired with very nice cold weather. I definitely recommend to book it exclusively to have a more serene stay and feel more private.

  • This place is a perfect getaway from the city life. What I loved about it the most is the simplicity of it all: It has a calm lake with an amazin view of the sunset, friendly dogs, two horses, a dedicated bonfire area where everyone can lounge on a cold night, and the best caretakers Ate Amy and Mang Lito Also, my son was able to do things he wouldnt normally do in the city like gather firewood for the bonfire, build the actual fire, hangout with horses and manu more. Our dogs also enjoyed playing with the Green Valley dogs, and they were able to stretch their muscles by running and playing tag with Lumot and Negra.

  • This was a great house, it has a great view of the town from it roof top as well. A 5min wall to the Plaza, just far enough from the tragic area. Clean and comfortable, loved it.

  • Actually this is the first time I personally used an airbnb in our country and am so glad it did not disappoint me at all. Kat’s place is a standout in this residential area, neat n modern exteriors and cozy interiors. Although garage is short for our SUV, a car can fit in well and there’s street parking too. The vast terrace is so inviting so do allow time during sunset n early morning for appreciation of the greeneries and township. Location is so ideal, close to several restaurants, my favorite is still Lola Taleng. Little touches like toiletries, hot n cold drinking water, coffee, big soft pillows can really work wonders. Keep up the good maintenance of the place and people will surely come back. Thank you, Kat.

    Marlene2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kat's house stands out in its surroundings. It is exactly as it is described in its description, it's close to shops and also close to Pagsanjan falls which are a must if you are in this area. We will sure stay at Kat's again.

  • Everything you need is there. Vangie, the caretaker is so accommodating and very helpful. The place is highly recommended.

  • As described, totally agree with all the positive reviews. Got that Kapamilya feel. My kids totally enjoyed and settled in the house. We stayed longer than we planned and needed a fridge. Unfortunately the one in the house wasn't working so told Kat and Vangie. Presto! The next afternoon the fridge was delivered. All in all the experience was excellent, totally recommend it. Thank you again to Kat, Vangie, Henrie and Jay.

  • Kat 's place is so beautiful. I love the rooftop. It's best for barkada or family who wants to chill for a drink with a good sky view. The place is so clean also. We'll Definitely get her place again if we visit pagsanjan.

    Lea Niigata2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Kat was a great communicator and host. The caretakers were excellent. We were hot and tired when we arrived and the caretakers had already pre-cooled the rooms by turning on the AC. The place was spotless and there were nice touches like fresh towels on the bed and tooth paste, tooth brush, soap and in the bathroom there was body wash and shampoo. I will surely stay again soon.

  • This is a cute and very functional bahay kubo or native Filipino house nestled in a little garden orchard of calamansi (Philippine lemon), guyabano (soursop), and mango trees. The sleeping quarters are more than adequate for a couple in a small bedroom and two children in a cozy loft room above. The kitchen is well-equipped for an overnight stay and the dining / sala has enough space to eat and relax afterwards. The hostess is helpful and friendly. She even met us at a nearby mall to accompany us to the place. Although it is summer the electric fans were more than adequate to keep us cool and comfortable even without aircon.

  • This place if perfect for travelers from the city. A feel of traditional house and nature. The house is near food establishments and is walking distance to public transport. Argie was so nice to answer all our queries and she even bought us to the jeepney station. The house is clean, simple and cozy. I really liked the room upstairs (four steps up). I woke up with lovely birds chirping and cow's moo in the morning. Something that I missed living in the city. The place is near beautiful waterfalls - Hulugan Falls and Pagsanjan Falls which offered exciting experience which both my foreign friends enjoyed so much! Highly recommended place for a quick weekend getaway!

    Mani2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for an authentic nipa hut experience then Argie's is the place! Simple, relaxed and secluded, just what we wanted. We're backpack campers so this qualifies as "Cadillac Camping," indoor plumbing, frig, electricity, a kitchen with running water, and a gas single-burner stove. No wifi, but we just hotspotted off our phones and binge-watched Major Crimes! Local wildlife was apparent, mozzies and geckos buzzing and clicking, but a little repellent and cheering on the geckos made the evenings comfortable. This is not your 5 star hotel, but a totally unique experience for those that want to immerse themselves in a distinctly Filipino cultural accommodation.

This 1-bedroom nipa hut is the latest addition to our vacation house that sits on this vast 2,100-sqm property in Pagbilao, Quezon. Over the past year, we've hosted over 200 guests from more than 20 cities here and abroad. They say they love our place because it's just a walking distance from the port going to Quezon's white sand beaches. It's also close to the market, the bus and jeepney stops to Manila and Bicol provinces. Other Quezon's best tourist attractions are for you to explore.

  • Had a wonderful vacation in Luigene's Farm house. I had the opportunity to immerse myself with his family, local community and fellow travelers -- they were all nice and awesome people. The farm property lies within the port area, making it easier and accessible for us to explore Quezon's prime and pristine islands. Thus, the farm property alone is a tranquil and serene haven full of fruit-bearing trees and a fish pond. Lui made our entire trip effortless and smooth sailing through his guidance, constant communication and timely response. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

The cozy cabana embraced by plants and trees, undisturbed by noise for that much sought peace and quiet, cooled by the breeze and temperature 1000 ft above sea level offers a very welcome respite from hectic urban life. Lucban has it's unique cool wet climate. Dry season is only 2 to 3 months in a year. It's a safe , quiet town where crime is almost unheard of. One can roam the streets at all hours feeling safe. People are friendly and hospitable. Tha cabaña and mainhouse are in a 2.8ha farm.
The cabaña is situated within a 2.8ha resthouse/farm. There is a mainhouse across a koi pond and the caretaker's house at the opposite end of the property. Neighbors are present beside and down the feeder road but whose roofs won't be visible. It's remoteness offers solitude and tranquility.
The property was chosen as it's location afforded me the serenity I was searching for - far from the madding crowd. The cool climate took away the stress of heat. It really is countryside living, quiet and peaceful. No noise, environmental pollution nor fear for safety. The plants thrive in this climate as they are blessed with nourishing rain. I've tried to plant interesting specimens throughout the farm but failed with dry loving ones. A plant in bloom or tree with fruit never fails to delight me.
  • Place is very clean. Quiet. Cool. Food is delicious. Staff very efficient.

  • We spent a great and quite weekend at this place. The room that we rented, which is detached from the main house, is lovely and very comfortable. It has its own patio where we spent a lot of time playing the guitar, make small talks and drink coffee while enjoying the gentle cool breeze. There is a certain charm that just lures you in and makes you want to stay a bit longer. Everything about the place is perfect. We’ll definitely come back to this place. Salamat Doc!

  • This place was exactly what I was looking for. Off the beaten track, surrounded only by the melodies of nature. Close enough to the town center to be able to visit the pertinent POIs but far enough to be able to retreat from the cacophony afterwards.

  • Guys, if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, we found a right place for you. Fresh and cold air, quiet and relaxing place surrounded only by the melodies of nature. Close enough to the town center but far enough from its noise. Upon checking in, you will be welcomed by accommodating caretakers (Nanay Lita and Tatay Pido and Mia their daughter). They will treat you not as a guest but a family. They will address all your needs even if you don't ask for it. A one night stay is not enough, you will even wish you could stay longer.

    Angelica2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Angela's place! We got there late in the afternoon and we did not have a hard time knocking at the gate because her caretakers were already waiting for us. Communicating with the host and her staff was also very easy. They were very warm and accommodating and they all made sure we felt comfortable during our stay. The cabana was lovely and very cozy (the small details about the house made it really charming and homey). My Lola loved the garden and the numerous plants while my Mom loved the design and the ambiance of the place. I slept so well during the two nights that I stayed there. Would definitely want to experience this place again! So relaxing! Perfect escape from the crazy life in the city!

    Jazz2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Angela's beautiful vacation home was absolutely worth every penny. It's the prefect hideaway from the city life. Things we loved: 1. We stayed in our very own guest house complete with towels, toiletries, and a nice hammock across her Koi pond. 2.It was never hot and the air was always fresh. 3. We were offered home grown fresh buko juice, cold water and a delicious snack each throughout our stay. 4. The entire garden is scattered with beautiful flowers and greenery. 5. For a reasonable fee, we were served a nice local breakfast (Lucban Longanisa, salted egg, fried rice and grilled fish) 6. The place was not that far from the city proper, Kamay ni Jesus, and Hulugan Falls. 7. We never doubted our security. 8. My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed spending time with Angela over breakfast. She is very smart, kind and hilarious!

You can take a boat ride from there to Pagsanjan falls or take the Cavinti vertical trek (you have to take a jeep & trike to reach the vertical trek). We got the room as described. It was a good stay. Thank you.

  • The hotel was very close to center of town and they arrange boat rides to Pagsanjan Falls which includes shooting the rapids. Ms. Beth managing the property was very helpful in recommending places to eat and assisting us with Jeepney routes. The room was clean, had airconditioning, and hot water.

    David2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • I like that it is very acessible to everything; beside the river and a few steps away to the bank, food places, grocery and main road. Basic needs of a traveler like hot water and wifi was met. So convenient to arrange Pagsanjan tours and transportation with them. And most importantly, clean and comfortable.

  • I was welcomed very nicely. The room I got was the one that appears in the photo. It is a corner room with 2 windows overlooking the river. I found the accommodation to be very suitable for the price with A/C and TV. I would have liked a hot shower, but finally adjusted myself to a cold one. I recommend this guest house because of it's location, price and facilities. It is only 1 minute walk from the shops in the center of town which has a very nice, small center with beautiful church, access to the river, and a good gym 5 minutes trike ride away.

  • Communication with the host, Miss Sharlene is excellent! She even offered us to stay longer as there are no next bookings and Kuya Ipe, the caretaker is very accommodating. The house was nice, the place is nice. I think sheets and linens were okay but need improvement. Everything is okay but not all the pests and insects. We literally woke up at our tables full of insects. We had to wiped it again and again. There are so many flies and all. The place needs insect repellant and it will be so nice to go back! Thumbs up for this house for the location and scenic view it has to offer. Definitely, what we are looking for minus the little friendly creatures!

  • This is really a great secluded place that is near Manila and is budget friendly. We just regretted going here while there was a storm cause we couldn’t do anything other than stay inside. And the flies inside the house were annoying so make sure to bring repellents. Other than that, everything was really nice! We will still go back here maybe summer time.

  • This place is great. I have been here twice and I still really enjoyed the place. Great place for relaxation and unwinding.

  • We stayed at Sharlene's lake house for a weekend getaway with our friends. It was such a lovely place! The house was spacious. There were enough rooms and mattresses, so we had a good night's sleep. We also got to enjoy nature. We were able to do a lot of fun stuff like swimming and kayaking. It was such a refreshing experience. Sharlene was also very accommodating. Communication went smoothly before our stay and during check-out. Definitely one of the best places to go to escape the city noise.

  • The place is lovely and works great for us since I don’t like crowded and noisy environment. We rented paddle board and kayak. One day is absolutely not enough to enjoy the whole place. Our dogs had a great time and am so happy to see them enjoying the Lake. They chased rooster and my beagle wanted to be friend to the Carabao that seems like crying. Lol Tip to the travellers: Buy your food and supplies before heading to Cavinti. There’s no reliable market in town unless you wanna travel to Pagsajan. I will surely recommend the place and host to someone I know who wanted an island accommodation.

  • As an outdoors person, I was never a fan of staycation. Until I stumbled upon this lovely rest house in the middle of the lake! We had the place to ourselves. We got to relax and at the same time enjoy outdoor stuffs like camping and kayaking. Another fun part was that we were able to bring our pets too. No electricity for most of the day but it’s totally fine because the fresh air was more than enough. And it’s perfect if you really want to be off the grid for awhile and just enjoy nature. We really had a wonderful time at Sierra Lake! Big thanks to Ms. Sharlene for accommodating us, and to Kuya Ipe, the caretaker, for being so nice to us! We’ll surely come back! :)

Our 2-bedroom bamboo hut is the latest addition to our vacation house that sits on this vast 2,100-sqm property in Pagbilao, Quezon.
It's pretty accessible: it's just a few meters away from the port where you ride the boat to the famous white sand beaches of Pagbilao and Padre Burgos, Quezon. Near the market, church, restaurants and public transport.
  • Reality exceeded our expectations. The real thing is better than its pictures. If you want to experience "Bukid" or farm life without the hassle, this is the place to be. Just beware of frogs and "bukid' insects as well. Suggest to bring mosquito repellent if you're sensitive to this. If not, there are a number of electric fans inside the house to shoo those mosquitoes away. The host's family is also kind enough to make sure that our needs are well taken care of :) Read my review or experience about this place here: (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • Great place! Traditional nipa hut pero maganda at malinis ung CR, which is very important for me. :) Walking distance lang sa pagbilao wharf and market. Lola Nely was super nice. Lui referred us to Kuya Edwin, the bangkero, who was very mabait. Our dog also enjoyed running around the place. Lui’s family lives at the main house, but they will give you a lot of space to relax and enjoy. Stayed here for 2 nights during the holy week. Hapon na kami nakarating on our first day so it was too late for us to go to Puting Buhangin. Since we had other plans the next day, they were kind enough to let us check out late so we could still go there on our last day.

  • We had a great stay here, even in the heat of May we were able to sleep well in the two bedroom apartment. This is a good base to visit the surrounding region!

    Dylan2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Love it. Very cozy. Almost like glamping without the hassle. Also very near to the market and the port to where you could rent boats for island hopping. The hosts are accommodating and kind. The picture in airbnb is not what you would expect as its much beautiful in the actual.

  • The kubo is very nice and it exceeded the expectations of our group. It is cozy though its a little crowded for us. The whole place outside is very spacious and #vlogandpictureperfect. We had a great time and this place served our purpose well. There are mosquitoes but it was okay after we used katol. We also had difficulties when the water run out and we could not take a bath and wash the dishes. I hope next time you could inform us ahead that there is no water for a specific time of the day. But other than this, the whole space is perfect to getaway from the noise and pollution of the city where from. Thank you Lolo, Lola, Kuya Lui and your other relatives who also accommodated us.

  • Amazing place!

    Ross2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Luigene’s place is very nice. We have a term in Boholano called, “hayahay”. This is the place to chill and relax on a tiny home made of native materials (bamboo walls and floors and anahaw roof) but with a tiled toilet. There were 5 of us so we fit perfectly in the 2 rooms with double decks. It was Christmas eve when we went so they even lent us a grilling wire and a rice cooker so we could cook. Lola also gave us some lechon! The place is a walking distance to the market so you can easily buy food. Overall superb hospitality. :) I just want to suggest a room for improvement to put screens around the huts coz there were mosquitoes at night. My companions also felt itchiness so there might be some bed bugs /other insects in the rooms. But overall, great stay, we enjoyed very much!

  • Our family of 30 stayed here last June 30-July 1 and we just had the perfect weekend getaway! Almost everything about this place was amazing. The location is secluded, away from the noise of the streets, away from wifi and data connection which made our family bond more. The details of the beach house were stunning. The design, the architecture, and the furniture were all spot on. It was spacious enough for a big family like ours (we even have more space for more people!). The pool was clean, big, and great for adults. We advise the parents of kids to bring floaters because the pool is quite deep. And it’s just walking distance to the beach. The beach was okay. It had it’s own kind of beauty. Katrina was very responsive and accommodating. She responded immediately with all of our inquiries and even sent us reminders right after booking. Sir Zaldy and the other caretakers were all nice and helpful. They provided us with everything we need and the whole place was clean and very organized. Kudos to the wonderful team! We all had a wonderful time and we greatly recommend Venus Beach House! :)

  • Perfect for a weekend getaway. The traditional provincial vibe of the whole place makes you feel that you’ve truly escaped the city’s madness. Very comfortable beds and wide doors and windows that allow the fresh breeze flow in and out the house. The pool was also clean and quite big even for a big group like us. Overall very relaxing. While connection - either thru wifi or network data not stable- we did not mind, it helped us bond better Katrina was responsive to all my messages. Caretakers Zaldy, Baby and Norma were also very helpful. We will be back.

The house has a view of a lagoon and mountainside. It has 4 spacious bedrooms with Air-con and 2.5 bathrooms. It's located inside a safe and gated industrial community. The beauty of this house is the private beach you can enjoy, only within a 15 minute trek from the house. Locals named the beach Kwebang Lampas because of a cave you can pass through to get to the other side. Kuweba is known for it's white sand beach and clear blue water. Kwebang Lampas rated TOP 10 Beaches near Manila by SPOT.PH
"Kwebang Lampas Beach rated on Top 10 beaches near Manila by SPOT.PH 2018" Easy access to private beach with white sand, clear blue water and cave. Guests can do a 15 minute nature trek to the beach from the house or a 5 minute banca ride from a private pier that you can drive to (about 5 minute drive). • My home for three nights in pagbilao quezon is more than i expected. The mansion has 4 rooms, two rooms in da ground floor with a common toilet and bath. Two rooms in da second floor with common toilet and bath. All rooms have their own airconditioning unit and cable tv. Although da home is NOT beach front, its an easy 10min walk to kuwebang lampas in my pace. Caretakers kuya eric and his better half ate rose is very very very hospitable and attentive if you need anything. Lastly, make sure you bring enough food during your stay because the nearest public market will be in dalahican port in lucena or sm lucena which is an hour drive. Pagbilao public market doesnt sell blue marlin or salmon. In conclusion, im very thankful for eddie in accomodating me and my three golden retrievers in your home, salamat salamat salamat at mabuhay kayo

  • Nothing but praise for this property! Beautifully designed house, courteous and helpful caretakers, hotel-like amenities, big kitchen with complete utensils. The beach is also very beautiful and crowdless it feels like you own the place. Thanks to Sir Eddie as well for being always helpful when it comes to questions and requests I made. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Caliraya Ecoville Recreation and Farm Resort is envisioned to be a premier agri-tourism center in Laguna wherein it promotes organic and aquaponic farming, farm-to-table lifestyle, integrated with amenities and activities that support relationship building and quality time with families and friends.
THE TENT Caliraya Ecoville is now offering tent accommodations which can be set-up in an area near the fish pond. The idea is to provide a choice of tents, depending on the number of occupants, with beddings and linens and basic outdoor furniture. The Bathroom is shared with other glamping guests.
Caliraya Ecoville Recreation and Farm Resort is blessed with fertile soil and good climate conditions that are conducive to productive farming. Currently, the resort is setting up the following farming platforms: Aquaponic Farm – Aquaponic Farming is a farming method that combines aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (the soil-less growing of plants) that aims to grow fish and plants together in one integrated system. Solid fish waste is turned into vermicompost that also acts as food for the plants. Phase 1 of this endeavor is the development of a small greenhouse that houses four (4) IBC tanks. Each tank is growing a specific experimental plant: Insulin Plant, Jasmine Tea, Tomatoes and Strawberry. Likewise, each tank is growing 100-150 King Fisher finglerlings. This Aquaponic Greenhouse is set up bedside the restaurant building, where guests can visit and observe. Phase 2 is the establishment of a bigger aquaponic greenhouse, utilizing the old de-commissioned 200 sqm swimming pool of the resort, which can be divided into quadrants to grow different species of fish and plants for in-house and modest commercial use. Organic Farm – Organic Farming is a method of crop and livestock production that does not use pesticides, fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, antibiotics and growth hormones. Caliraya Ecoville is initially setting aside one (1) hectare for short cycle vegetable production and poultry broiler growing. After a year, Caliraya Ecoville intends to expand this to three (3) hectares or more, once the techniques and markets are established.
  • Great for family bonding.

  • Book here! Perfect vacation house in the middle of a barrio near Caliraya lake. Very good property. The host and Ate Annalyn, the overseer are very accommodating. Very peaceful and silent barrio environment. Clean and with sufficient water supply. Definitely we are coming back and commendable!

    Winnie2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We're canceled our trip one day before our actual check out date because of the following reasons: *The host is charging us extra payment for additional guests despite the fact that his ad says 'no extra charge' for additional people. *The host even asked us to leave in the middle of the night when we declined to pay. *Limited water supply-The host's overseer turns off the water supply at night. This was not explained to us beforehand. *There were flies everywhere inside the house. *Terribly noisy neighborhood. There were so many drunk teens walking around the neighborhood during our stay. *The bathroom gets flooded everytime we turn on the faucet. *The house only had one bathroom. The listing advertised two. *The overseer doesn't want us to use two rooms. We had to call the host and convince him that his listing is supposed to allow us to use two rooms because that's what's shown in the ad. *The host demanded that we all give him all the names of the individuals in our group. We felt harrassed and bullied by the host. Overall, this is a pretty traumatic and scarring experience to me and my family. The host seems to be ill equipped in the hospitality business and he made our entire stay miserable.

  • Perfect experience in the middle of a barrio! Silent, kind people around, and great vacation house. Most importantly, you will experience the warm welcome of its host and caretakers, very hospitable and loving people. The place is a great vacation house and everything that you need is available. You can also order breakfast, lunch and dinner from Ate Annalyn at a surprisingly very low price. She is a great cook and very accommodating :) Very satisfied!

  • We highly recommend this place! If you are looking for a 5 star service, this is your chance to experience it. With Mr. King and his family, a stress free vacay is indeed possible. From the moment we arrived, til we bid goodbye to this place, Mr. King made sure that everything was well taken care of. It's like we have a father who cares so much of his children. We can't thank Mr. King enough for his hospitality and for providing delicious foods during our stay. He is a great and super host!

    Shiella2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We are very grateful to Mr. King and his family for taking care of us on our first GLAMPING experience! More than the BEAUTIFUL SCENERY, SUMPTUOUS MEALS, COMFY BEDS, EXTRAORDINARY HOSPITALITY that they give to their guests (not to mention the FREE add-ons and surprise customer discounts), interacting with this man and listening to his stories alone is already a treat! It was just an overnight stay (but he actually offered us to stay one more night - too bad we can't), but you can tell how profound Mr. King is by how he value his family AND HIS COMMUNITY - something that we rarely see in people that we meet in our travels. We even had the chance to bond with the other guests and his "boys" over bonfire and learned the power of Malunggay What's also unique about this whole experience is that we never felt that this business was built to take advantage of their customers for profits. It was built out of love for family and compassion to the community - a true definition of sociopreneurship! I'm not really fond of writing reviews about our travel trips, neither to "market" the places we've been to and the people that we meet. But this one deserves much more recognition! We will definitely come back! MARAMING SALAMAT SA PAMILYANG KING!

    Jobelle2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mr. King (the owner) is beyond accomodating. He made sure that all our needs are met and so much more. He has taken care of all our requests. His wife cooks the best home cooked meals. The accomodation was very comfortable and located in a lake front property. The large coleman tent with airbeds was enough for our family. We are a big family with lots of kids. Really value for money. It was really nice of Mr King to accomodate the bonfire request of the kids though it was a bit drizzling. I would have to remind the guests that this is still camping so if you are expecting a hotel type accomodation with ensuite bathroom, this place is not for you. But I tell you, you are missing a lot. One thing more, Mr King made sure to talk first to the boatmen and negotiated for us for the lake tour and fishing. Our father, catching 3 America black bass was one of the many highlights of this trip. Overall, this is one experience that our family will truly cherish - a stress-free vacation with the picture perfect view. We wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back for sure.

  • If you want to get in touch with nature and appreciate the basic things...nice lake, cool breeze, quiet neighborhood, nice people, this is the place to go. My son liked the place because he got to run around and play with the kids there. We were able to enjoy our art time and story telling time because there’s nothing to distract us. The host, Mr. “Pirate” King, as what my son wants to call him, is amazing. We’ll surely come back.

    Nova2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • I loved every minute I spent at King's. It was scenic, quiet, and convenient. It had none of the flashy "packaged" glamping stuff which made the experience homey. King was a great host. He waited until we arrived, checked us in, prepped our food and entertained us with interesting conversation. Even his nine year old son Junior was engaging and went out of his way to ensure my kid had a great time. Our tent could accommodate 4 people and was equipped with a fan, an extension cord for charging, 1 queen matress and 1 double matress, 4 pillows. A picnic table with umbrella set up in front. Area is well lit and safe. King's dogs were friendly. My kid didn't check his phone. He played basketball, learned to bike, and swam in the lake. King had life vests and tubes for safety. We had a bonfire and mallows, too. It felt like you were really camping with cousins and friends. All of us ended up wishing we booked a day earlier. :) King's is a place for families run by a family. We will be back soon.

    Jean2017-05-02T00:00:00Z

  • Perfect place to be with nature. Best for family camping. Mr. King and his family were very hospitable.

    Lala2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mr King was a gracious host. He communicated with us every step of the way, including advising on best route to take to reach their place. All throughout our stay, he checked on us often to make sure everything was in order. His whole family and friends made sure we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. Our tents were comfortable, with comfortable beds, clean linens, fans and electricity for our phones. The view of the lake was beautiful. Picture perfect in the morning, at noon and at night. Our children enjoyed fishing with bamboo rods, complete with earthworm baits along the lake bank, and actually catching some fish!!! Well, they let the fishes swim back to the lake after. My husband and I enjoyed the small clams from the lake, cooked with ginger and malunggay for dinner! There were green mangoes, just picked from their trees as well. The bonfire with marshmallows and hotdogs, using long bamboo sticks was such fun. Other than the distant singing of local residents (local fiesta) , all was quiet allowing us a restful night. On Day 2, our daughters wanted to go fishing on the lake for american black bass, unfortunately, the boatmen were attending the fiesta. We went hiking instead to a local ilog through the jungle, and spent the most part of the day taking in the local ecosystem, the flowing waters running through big and smaller rocks and lots of trees that provide good cover from the midday sun. It was a trip led by Mr King himself and the whole family. All in all, the kids enjoyed the nature trip! Going back and appreciating God's beautiful creation of sun, blue skies, cottony clouds and a beautiful lake in the day and clear skies with stars at night and again a beautiful lake was beautiful memory. Apart from the scenery, equally enjoyable are the stories shared with the host Mr. King, his family and his friends. We felt like family. Our kids do want to go back to have that fishing trip on a boat in the middle of the bigger lake! Definitely, a must to return with the rest of the gang.

My place is close to a pile of fun adventure for EVERYONE such as resorts, famous must see waterfalls, mountain climbing, hiking or camping at Mt. Banahao, some must try restaurants in and out of Liliw and of course don't forget the remarkable Gat Tayaw street which is famous for its slippers, sandals, shoes and more for you and your loved ones! You’ll love my place because of the view, the nature and the fresh, crisp air. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
  • Mr. and Mrs. Struss were nice hosts. They gave tips on better resorts to visit. They even prepared breakfast for us. The room is like a condo, furnished with basic things you'll find in a house. Quiet environment. Looking forward to visiting your place again.

  • The stay with Desiree and Deeter was amazing. They were super accommodating and helpful with everything. The first night they tried to help us figure out where to explore and what to do the next morning. They had one of their local friends take us on 3 hikes to 3 different waterfalls. Each morning Desiree made us breakfast and coffee. The pictures do not do the place justice. Its like your own little apartment. Has a Kitchenet, dining room table, bathroom, and beds all separate from their house. They were super sweet and fun to chat with. Great location for hiking and seeing some nature. Would highly recommend staying with them, they'll treat you like family. :)

  • The hosts, Desiree and Dieter were so welcoming and accommodating. We never expected the place to be that clean and spacious. Except for very limited parking area, the place is perfect for backpackers who want to experience the festival or just to enjoy a silent sanctuary away from the city.

    Marilou2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great hosts. Dieter and Desree are the best people we have met on this trip. Bright clean room. Funny people too. A huge thank you to you for making this a great stay. Lovely trip to the waterfalls. The saying of the day was ''I will come here again- oh YES, I WILL come to Hulugan falls again!!!'' Beautiful. Its free, its free haaaa. The rooftop view and chat made a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. We will not find anything better than this.

  • We had a great stay in Sir Jan’s place. Sir Diether and Tita Desiree were so hospitable and thoughtful especially for the free coffee and breakfast delivered to our door. If you’re looking for a place near Liliw’s town proper and near Taytay/Bukal Falls, I recommend you their place.

    Jexrel2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • The weather for my trip into Liliw was not conducive to hiking the falls, which was my main reason for heading this way. Overall, you get exactly what the Host says you'll get. You won't be floored by the value for money, but it's in a beautiful area, should the whether permit you to get out to see it.

    Aaron2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place is far far BETTER in person. The owners were very HOSPITABLE and FRIENDLY. They also assists visitors in their trips. The place is VERY CLEAN and complete with amanities. I would give this a 10/10 rating. Will definitely go back to this place! :)

    Jurom2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts are very hospitable. The place is very neat with its own toilet and bath, a dining room and a living room space. You can use the fridge for cold drinks and storing some left overs although I would suggest that they also put in there a microwave oven. I am very happy with my stay as the place is just a jeepney ride to San Pablo (about 30 mins at P30 per person). San Pablo is where most of the tourist attractions are, in Liliw there is not so many places to go except the town center, just a walking distance from this accommodation where you can buy your food, some groceries and Liliw-made shoes. I would want to stay longer to explore more of San Pablo and Jan David's place will be the best accommodation for you.

The property is in beach front... complete with kitchen utensils and appliances (Ref, gas stove, grills, etc) My house can accommodate 10 persons. For exceeding 10 visitors, each will be charged P150.00 each for utilities.
The house is 80% native materials.
My place is within a private and exclusive beach houses. There still few houses built within the area.
  • Jogi and her mom and sister, who were there during our stay, were easy to talk to.

    Detdet2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Ms Jogi and to your mom who was very nice to help us with all that we needed. The place was great and the airconditioning also helped in letting us sleep before the race. See you again next year.

  • Ate jogi's place is not what we have expected, its beyond what we expected :) Nanay Raquel is very accommodating, food served when we got there is delicious :) close to the fishing port :) beach is the best, privacy at its best :)

  • One of the best beach house that our family visited. The place has a relaxing ambiance, pool was newly constructed, clean and really convenient if you decide not to swim in the beach. Amenities are provided in the house and if you need anything, the caretakers are always there to help out. Above all, the hospitality is outstanding that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for large group and family events.

    Jas2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Kathryn2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jogi was prompt in replying to our message and we couldn’t be more thankful to Nanay Raquel, the caretaker, for being a gracious host. She welcomed us with a merienda and even cooked lunch for us when we arrived. She was always pleasant and attentive to our needs. The place, however, needs improvement. Directions were not accurate. Avana Resort is nowhere to be found. Host should have mentioned Villa Katrina instread. The house is big enough to host 15 pax. It was clean but considering the material it was made of (nipa/wood etc.), I think it’s inevitable that insects rid the place, i mean all the over the place. Also, the house has this certain scent that may be irritable to sensitive people. My father suffered asthma and my wife had migraine because of the smell. I think the house needs treatment. We were only a family of 5, thus, the house was steep for that number. All in all, if you are looking for a house with a provincial life set-up with all the ambience, feels, and experiences to it, this place is perfect for you. Be ready, however, to deal with the insects, dogs, cats and other animals, that roam the place, they live therein as part of a family.

    Raoul Benedict2018-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Host was very responsive. Everything is available in her place. If you want to disconnect from the business of Manila, this is a great place to stay. She gave us free rent of her kubo in front of the beach. Thanks for the wonderful experience. My family definitely enjoyed the place. Thumbs up!

  • We booked this place for an event in General Nakar, which is roughly 30 mins away. Its a quaint, private and happy place. Its near the beach and a little bit secluded since there's only a few houses within the area. The hosts were very accomodating and understanding. Food was great and overflowing. Will definitely come back. Too bad we weren't able to do videoke. Next time!

The main house is enclosed by glass on three sides giving a sense of being outside surrounded by and a koi pond. A living room, dining and kitchen are on an open floor plan. A sleeping loft on the mezzanine has 4 queen beds and 1 full bed.
Far away from the madding crowd the place is a welcome respite to grab the elusive peace and quiet. The farm is situated within 2.8ha, filled with a wide assortment of plants. Neighbors are beside and beyond the property but are not seen nor often heard. This gives the sense of remoteness that is welcome to most but intimidating to some. The occasional tricycle may be heard as neighbors travel the feeder road. The cell phone signal is poor and spotty. It is however strong near the cabaña. You may find other spots where you can get a strong signal.
There are no noisy neighbors around. Birds chirping throughout the day and the crickets creating a symphony at night are mostly the sounds that are in sensurround mode. Lucban is a very safe place to live in and visit. There is hardly any crime, which commonly is theft on the streets during the Pahiyas when out-of-towner pickpockets are brought in. People are friendly and hospitable. Low stress living leads to minimal anxiety, agitation and frustration. This results in an environment that fosters camaraderie and bayanihan, which is very much alive during the planting and harvesting seasons.
  • If I go back to Lucban this is one of the places I'll consider again. Although it's not in the town proper it's close enough. There's a lot of space and we truly experienced some peace and quiet while looking at the trees and beautiful flowers.

    Pauline2017-04-14T00:00:00Z

  • Our family spent the Holy Week break at Angela's place. The house was very nice and had a spacious dining area. The kitchen was fully equipped with what you would need. The weather was cool. Beds were very comfortable, provided with blankets and towels. Caretakers Lita and Pido were very friendly. It is the perfect place to getaway from the crowds and for family bonding. Thank you Angela for sharing your very nice home in Lucban.

  • The place is perfect for those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the Metro Manila. Quiet and clean place with beautiful green surroundings and very accomodating care takers. The owner was very helpful. She replied very fast and gave us the map going to the house making sure that we won't get lost. She gave suggestions and itenerary of where to eat, have stop overs and where to buy pasalubong which was very helpful since it was our first time in Lucban. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Thank you! :)

    Arlene2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • The rental rate was very reasonable for a party of 11. We love the serenity and the ambiance of the place. We love having a party in a private & secluded place amid plants & trees & this place was just right for us. There is hot water running in the shower room. We like the dinner & breakfast food, especially the pako salad. There is no wifi available maybe because it is on a higher elevation & in the middle of a wooded & green land.

Escape from the busy life in Manila and travel to Cavinti, Laguna (3 hours away). This is a privately-owned rest house, so you have the place all to yourself. Create happy memories bring your family & friends; share a unique & unforgettable experience at our wonderful Mai Bet Place
Guests may use the kitchen for preparing and cooking meals, we have a grill at the gazebo if you want to use it for barbecue. The Veranda is a place to have your meals and is commonly used as a social area the gazebo also has enough space to hold meals. all areas are accessible to the guests except for the 1 master bedroom. Other things to note Cellphone reception is a bit weak inside the house but you can get good reception at the veranda and garden. It gets cold at night so make sure to bring something to keep you warm. Since the house is on the lake front.
  • Ideal for a relaxing getaway near Manila

It's a Mediterranean inspired home and the Resort is exclusive to only a few home owner's who are mostly out of the country or foreigners. It's a very peaceful and quiet place with 24-hr security wherein you could just relax and enjoy the scenery. There are also nearby islands/beaches you could explore.
It's also a great place to celebrate birthdays, family reunions, outings, etc.
If you like to experience serenity this is the best place to go away from the busy city life. Due to exclusivity, even during peak season this place is not crowded because only members and an invitation from a home owner can grant you access in this Residential Country Club and Resort.
  • Longer drive from Manila than resorts in Batangas, but worth it. Quiet Resort with friendly staff, and for our stay not crowded at all. Almost like having a private resort to ourselves.

  • The house is bug enough to accommodate big groups. The place is lit and quiet.

    Maylene2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • We truly enjoyed our stay at Rowel's place. You are free to enjoy the place as you please (With respect to AirBnb policies). You can make noise without any neighbors that will complain and explore the resort. In addition to the place, Rowel is easily contactable and will help you with all of your concerns to make your stay worth while. Here are the things that you have to take note. 1. The house is inside a resort. You can go and enjoy the resort amenities for an additional P550/person fee (the fee is also consumable for food and drinks inside the resort). 2. The karaoke machine is not attached to the house. There is an additional P700 fee that you will have to arrange with Rowel. 3. The resort is somewhat subpar. The beach is nice. However, the swimming pools are hazardous. You can swim in it but at your own risk. We enjoyed our night swim there but sustained cuts from the sharp tiles. 4. You can opt to have an assembled pool in the house. We didn't since we only planned to drink and roll over when we're done exploring the resort. 5. There are three bedrooms that can fit 3 people each. 6. The living room and roof deck are spacious. Overall, me and my friends enjoyed our stay and will probably come back if we ever end up in Quezon.

    Vince2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. No problem communicating with him. His house is also great but could still get better. A little uncomfortable in the sala and dining area because it gets really hot in those area. If you're gonna stay there, try to open all the doors and windows, at the back and on the main then the 2nd floor's window and entrance to roofdeck. If I'll go back to pueblo por la playa, there's a great chance, I'll rent out his place again.

    Neil2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really relaxing since the beach is closeby, we could feel the fresh breeze from the ocean, the place has their own resort which has 2 pools, water sports and you could also do island hopping which we didn't do since the weather during our stay wasn't coordinating with us as for the host, Mr. Veroy is concered about how our stay is and asks if there is anything he can do for us which is a big plus being a host, even though he wasn't there to welcome us, his caretaker was very welcoming and accomodating, they both immediately respond to texts and calls if we have questions. overall it was a great stay, no regrets and we have karaoke which we love to do, and we recommend this place if you want to take a vacation away from the city, if you want peace and pure relaxation. The host is a very accomodating person as well as his caretaker.

    Rhoebe Lynn2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
