Beautiful, clean, quiet, 2nd floor studio apartment in the back portion of 1860's Italian Villa nicknamed by the neighbors as "The Taj."
Welcome to the oldest residential neighborhood in Rochester, NY. This historic neighborhood sits on the banks of Genesee River and is full of tree lined streets and beautiful Victorian homes. It is home to the biggest summer festival in Rochester, Corn Hill Arts Festival, which takes place July 8th and 9th in 2017.

  • We loved Anya's beautiful studio. It was clean, stylish, comfortable, quiet. We had great communication with our host the whole way through. Beautiful decor and I appreciated the amenities throughout. Loved the neighborhood as well. Perfect location for us.

    Debra2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very nice apartment to be welcomed to. It was so cute. It had nice amenities like the outdoor deck and access to laundry. The clean modern, comfortable place was perfect for our visit. The communication was fantastic and accurate. We entered the locked door and went up one floor to this gem of a place. I appreciated the convenient location and loved being in Corn Hill. Parking was convenient and nice to have, too. This is a listing we will likely choose again!

  • Great location, lovely neighborhood. Convenient to all areas.

  • This is honestly the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Private parking, laundry, full kitchen, big TV with Roku, comfy bed, clean bathroom, & excellent location. It was a great stay. Thank you so much!

  • Anya’s space is stylish, spacious and comfortable. The space was clean and there were nice touches of decor throughout the space. It’s in a great neighborhood and is close to many restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Rochester, I know I will be!

    Lauren2018-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This studio apartment is very tastefully decorated, incredibly clean, and in a great location. Anya, our host, was very gracious and we appreciated the kitchen amenities and water bottles left for us. The apartment was very secure and parking on-site was perfect.

Sunny, 2 level apt, in rear of house, that is a short walk to the U of R with plenty of space/parking. One bedroom with lots of characters as well as a futon in the living room in restored mansion on Mt. Hope. There is a fully equiped kitchen and 1 and 1/2 baths. It has a separate entrance, and is approximately 1,000 square feet. Set on a peaceful acre of land along the Genesee River. Enjoy Rochester from this historic mansion with tons of character and charm.
Recently refurbished with new wood floors, cabinets, countertop and paint, yet still maintaining the character of what used to be the "servants quarters". It is PERFECT if you are visiting the U of R! We live in the rest of the house and are excited to have you stay! Note: It does have a spiral staircase to the loft bedroom.. We also have another apartment listed on Airbnb, be sure to check it out! Apt #2
We moved to this amazing house in September 2014 and have been working non-stop to restore some of it's original beauty. We are bordered by the U of R property and the U of R provost lives across the street! We are close to downtown and the South Wedge has lots of great eateries and pubs as well as a new microbrewery steps down the hill. Our house is on an acre of land overlooking the river and the U of R. We are 4 houses away from beautiful Mount Hope Cemetary.
  • 位置非常好,房子很有格调

  • Great location, particularly close to UofR, but also some good restaurants! Very cozy - I slept extremely well. Loved getting to stay in this charming older home. Laura and Michael, the hosts, were both accommodating and gracious. Definitely enjoyed my stay!

    Leslie2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome! The house is grand and artfully decorated with an enviable yard (we even saw a couple of deer hoofing it through one morning). Location is pleasant, walkable, and close to the beautiful Mt. Hope Cemetery. The apartment where we stayed was comfortable, quiet and very private. I kept forgetting that there was a whole family living in the rest of the house. The furnishings were lovely; it had a relaxing spa-like feel with a vintage flair. We've had a number of Airbnb stays and this was the nicest one yet. We had everything we needed and enjoyed staying here. We regret that we didn't get the chance to spend time with our hosts but we did appreciate the warm welcome we received from Laura upon our arrival. Great find for couples! We would stay here again.

    Stephanie2015-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful historic home in an excellent location, very easy to get to wherever you want to go in the city. The backyard is quiet and relaxing. The apartment was perfect, and suited our needs wonderfully. Michael and Laura were very friendly and had wonderful brochures and information about Rochester and neighborhood gems. Highly recommend staying here!

    Meghan2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts greeted us after we pulled in to the driveway. They showed us around the house a little bit, and then gave us a full tour of the apartment. The house is gorgeous, and the apartment is pretty great. There is a washer/dryer in the apartment which came in handy after we got caught in heavy rain. The apartment is larger than we expected, and the bedroom is very airy. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet despite being on a fairly busy street. We saw a wild turkey on the morning that we were leaving. For future guests, just keep in mind that it can be a little inconvenient taking large suitcases up the spiral staircase, so keep your luggage on the small-ish side. My biggest regret is not having enough time to take a nap in the backyard hammick...

    Norana2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderfully quirky space to stay. Laura was very kind, especially to our boisterous two year old son.

  • Mary Jane was a very friendly and informative hostess for our stay in Rochester. We were made to feel included in the dynamic of her house. We stayed in the guest bedroom on the main floor with access to a small bathroom of our own, it was clean, warm and comfy. We were just steps away from Park Ave. which included great coffee houses, boutique shopping, restaurants and we were within walking to Eastman House.

    susanne 2012-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Jane make you feel at home right away. The bed is really comfortable and the house is really calm and peaceful. The dog is super friendly and don't bother at all. I had a wonderfull stay at her place I would come back anytime.

    Jessica2014-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with MJ and Rumpole (her funny dog :)) for 12 days and it was great! I am not even a dog person and still found it enjoyable to hang out with Rumpole in the evenings while I worked and studied. I was comfortable and well taken care of and found it easy to walk the 20 minutes back and forth to class. It was easy to function without a car since there were great restaurants, a CVS and bank access literally 2 minutes away. I easily walked to and enjoyed the Jazz Festival even while I was there! MJ's house is located in a lovely tree lined safe and mostly quiet neighbourhood and it was the perfect haven for me. MJ is an easy gracious helpful and fun host to be around and the 12 days just flew by. She even took me to visit Lake Ontario one morning and we got to walk the beach together. Thank you! I would definately stay here again when and if I return to Rochester!

    Kiran2013-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay in Rochester. Mary Jane was a very welcoming host and her house is beautiful. (It is also located in a great area of the city). Mary Jane was a very accommodating host—she bought decaffeinated coffee for me and helped arrange for me to be dropped off at the airport. I look forward to coming back to Rochester and staying again at Mary Jane's!

    Sanders2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Mary Jane's home. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Mary Jane is a terrific host!

    Gram2013-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Mary Jane's house was fantastic. The room is super comfortable and clean. It is also spacious and has a desk for work if you need it. I had clean towels an a bath robe and Mary Jane had tea for me in the morning. The area is very safe and right beside Park ave with all of it's restaurants.

    Sorcha2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Jane is an amazing host, but first, she is just a very nice, kind, and gracious person. I stayed in the Pink Room in her home for one week and had a very restful and pleasant stay. The room is very cozy and comfortable. The entire house is that way. I am so happy to have the experience of staying there. Rumpole, her dog, is absolutely super sweet and is very affectionate if you are a dog lover and give him some love. He is a definite treat to any dog lover. Overall, I don't know anything I would have changed about the stay. The parking seems to be a situation for that entire area, but not for Mary Jane's house. I either parked in the driveway or in one of the 4 parking spots right next to the house. I don't know if I will be back in the area again, but if I am, I will absolutely look no further than staying at Mary Jane's if she is available.

    Oren2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Janes place made my stay in Rochester so wonderful. It’s super close to amazing coffee, bakeries, restaurants, and attractions. The neighborhood is super cute and she was a fabulous host even though she was out of town. Would highly recommend and stay again :)

My property is within walking distance from RIT and is a 5 min drive from nightlife down Jefferson Rd. My house is a 5 min drive from ROC airport and MCC. 10-15 drive into ROC city and U of R. Uber is available. I currently have 2 rooms to choose from. One with a queen bed, another with a queen bed and a queen futon. There are two bathrooms available...1 is recently renovated and shared with host and other guests. The other is not as nice but is private. Host lives in the home as well.
Ranch style home built in 1944. Has a cabin feel and I'm using Airbnb money to do repairs and make improvements. The space is in no way perfect but this home is a time machine back to an era where craftsmanship was valued. The original owner was my grandfather who built the home himself with his own two hands. Again, this home is in no way perfect and is a work in progress but I've modernized it a bit and I'm always making improvements. My home is very close to RIT, UofR, and ROC airport. It is also very close to dining and nightlife options on my street. Host lives in the home as well.
My place is is a very very great location you'll find. Centrally located between all of the universities and a short uber trip into the city. I'm located 15 min outside the city so streets are not that busy. The road I live on has so many dining options...food and drinks here are amazing. I'm not far from finger lakes wine country either.
  • This place was fantastic. Everything was as expected. The place was very clean and spacious. I appreciated his flexibility with our arrival time. It could not have been easier.

    James2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • For the price of this place, you really couldn't go wrong. Each room had its own room and house key, which was a nice touch. He also put fans in each of the room since there wasn't AC. The rooms were clean, the front bathroom was nice, and overall the house was kept clean and tidy. Kirk kept to himself, but welcomed us when we first arrived and was friendly whenever we saw him. Overall, a good stay (especially for the price)!

    Cassie2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a comfy, easy place to stay that is super close to RIT and a great price. Kirk has remodeled the front bathroom beautifully and we look forward to staying with him again in the future to see how the rest of his older home is transformed. Kirk was around a bit, add well as super responsive to any questions or needs. We were able to cook and do laundry.

  • Friendly people, clean, nice area, good deal!

    Tiffany2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised, the place is under renovations, so not in the most pristine conditions, but it's comfy. I'm a traveling salesman, so it was perfect for a one night crash. Kirk is very friendly and accommodating.

  • MacClurg, in sharing her home, provides a safe, clean, aesthetically-beautiful place for airbnb guests. Our stay was short, but all was great and fully as advertised. We had only incidental contact with her late at night when our paths crossed, but that was enough to see clearly that she is a consummate airbnb hostess. A "fix" of chocolate-dipped biscotti in the AM was the proverbial icing on the cake. (Thank you!) The need to negotiate, by night, in a new domicile, a side entrance, light switches, stairs up to one's room, and a descent downstairs to the basement for refrigerator space, as well as shared baths and clear written guidance on how and when to use the kitchen, probably mean that this is a good airbnb venue for "with it" folks not needing hotel-style maintenance. That said, this is an A-1 stop that we highly recommend. MacClurg's orange-pastel-painted home will be a most sweet spot for anyone stopping in Rochester for whom this type of accommodation is suitable.

    Sam2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • MacClurg has been an excellent host. She was very friendly and helpful with my needs. She even drove me to the airport when I was leaving! The room was clean, well-prepared, and the bed was very comfortable. I felt very welcomed and at home. She was very generous with her food and tea as well. A gem in the area! Check it out!

    Harold2013-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay with Ms McClurg during my visit to Rochester. The place is amazingly close to Univ of Rochester medical centre and her house is warm and welcoming. You see her passion for nature in every corner of her house. As a bonus , she has a great variety of tea !! :)

  • Seriously there's no better place in Rochester. It's cheap, Jay is awesome at staying in contact and is just a great person in general, the area is nice, etc.

  • My first Airbnb experience was a very positive one! Jay's has got to be the best value in Rochester. He's so laid back and trusting…it really makes you feel comfortable and at ease. And he was attentive to have the a/c in my room running well before my arrival, though the temp outside was in the low 70s, it was rather muggy…this had crossed my mind on the way, since I don't sleep well in high humidity…I didn't need to worry.

  • Awesome place. Super great location. So comfortable, loved this place!

    Margaret2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve stayed in two separate studios by Steven. Each an amazing space located by village gate and in the heart of the art district. Hands down worth it and they are the only places I’d stay while in Rochester.

    Scott2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed in the School Lofts before and this was even better than my first. The rooms are HUGE - high ceilings, super cool furnishings, and cameras (very Kodak / Roc themed) decorating the space. The king bed is REALLY comfy and they give lots of pillows. The best two parts? Free parking in the parking lot, and the JACUZZI TUB. We used it every single night we were there. Don't pass it up! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating, offering extra towels or anything else we needed. It's quiet there - we didn't hear any other guests or noise. It was literally a perfect stay, and they had improved some of the things that could have been better from a year ago. This is the only place we'll stay in Rochester!!! Book it!!!

Show stopping furnished luxury rental right in the heart of the Neighborhood Of The Arts! Walk to coffee shops, world class restaurants, wine bars, boutiques, museums, art galleries, etc. There is even a little convenience store which is a stones throw away from the apartment. The location has everything you would ever want! There is a Zagster bike rental about 30 yards from the front of the house. The apartment has courtyard patio which features bistro set.
The apartment features high ceilings, a cozy decor, and bright and cheery living spaces. The living room has an ornamental fireplace, sofa, and two chairs. Formal dining room is perfect for the home chef and entertaining guests before a show! Dining room has desk which also doubles as a serving table / buffet. Huge kitchen features full size stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, subway tile back splash, and dishwasher. Bathroom is equipped with a tub, subway tile shower enclosure, and 30 inch vanity. Bedroom features queen sized bed, reading chair, and a huge closet! WiFi internet is included along with a Roku TV
This is really the best place in the City Of Rochester! You have Starry Nites cafe for coffee and breakfast. Three Heads Brewing for your beer and live music obsession. Goodluck Restaurant is a block away and probably one of my favorite restaurants. Nox is a dorky cocktail bar with fantastic craft drinks. There really is too much to list here.
  • Thank you, Matthew, for a lovely, convenient and spacious home. We loved the huge tv, the large dining room table for working (from home), the internet access, the ability to control the temperature in the home, and the very comfortable bed and sofa. An added bonus is that this Airbnb is in the Neighborhood of the Arts and accessible to so many opportunities to explore, (and eat!)

    Rhonda2018-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew's place is so wonderful! It was my first Airbnb experience and everything went smooth and great. Located in the arts district this place is close to cafes, museums, and extremely walkable. The neighborhood is cute and the Airbnb itself was clean, cute, and had a great, homey style. Also, the kitchen is great for cooking. Matthew is quick to respond and flexible with schedule changes. Thanks for a great stay in Rochester!

  • My fiancé and I absolutely loved his place. The located was perfect; central to everything. All the amenities were there. The decor was stunning and we felt right at home. Plus the bed is way more comfortable than you would expect. I would stay here again, ina heartbeat!!

    Kate2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arrival, we wondered whether we would be able to even get in, because the paint on the entry door had swollen it shut. Entry required several tries and much effort. After a call to the landlord (whom we never met in person), a handyman worked on it the next day. The apartment is in a very old building that has been nicely remodeled on the inside. But the steeply-placed wobbly uneven stones on the outside, which must be navigated (minus any hand rail) every time you come and go, were a challenge to arthritic knees. (We did mention it to the handyman.) The lovely interior was spoiled by the presence of a pesky infestation of fruit flies, evidently because the previous tenant had purchased fresh veggies from the local market. (Would have thought the $85 cleaning fee on top of the $91 service fee and $44 occupancy fee we paid before arriving should have taken care of that.) The landlord commiserated that he had the bugs too, but did not offer any way to deal with them beyond the traps we ourselves researched on (Hidden by Airbnb) and constructed. Cold drafts overnight even when the heat was on were also part of the "old house" experience. And the 55” TV did not receive even one network for current news/weather. A simple rabbit-ear antenna could have made all the difference!

  • Great place! Highly recommend.

  • It was amazing staying at Matthews place; It felt just like you would want your home to be. It was comfy, clean, and in a great neighborhood. If I had to stay in recommending a place, this would be it.

    Adam2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Matthews place was lovely and we highly recommend the space and the location when visiting Rochester. Parking was no problem on the street and it was great having a coffee shop right at the end of the street. Matthew was quick with responses and very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again and will recommend Matthew's place to anyone we know visiting the area.

  • Fabulous place in the fabulous neighborhood. Very clean. Very spacious for two people. Great kitchen. Comes with great AC (even though the profile says no AC). The host is very quick with responses and was very helpful. We would love to come back if we visit Rochester again. Kudos!!!!!!!

This is a three room suite inside an 1850's Second Empire Victorian Mansion. It has a bed, tv, wifi, cable, microwave, coffee, dishes, etc. Bathroom has a shower and a claw foot tub.
The main room is spacious. There is lots of closet space and an area to eat. The bathroom has both a standing shower and a clawfoot tub. We stayed here as an Airbnb in the past and we loved it so much... we bought the house! This unit has AC!!!
  • The neighborhood is just lovely. The rooms were very well kept and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't stay very long but enjoyed every minute there!

    Shaudi2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Parking is extremely confusing - we received a ticket parked in front of the house. Otherwise we very much enjoy the stay (clean, spacious, private) and appreciated the early check in. Only issue was finding no soap at all after entering the shower.

    Olivia2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is awesome. Eron &Brianna are incredibly kind. Thank you very much.

    Marina2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we enjoyed staying here. Proximity to downtown and UR is good. Communication and check-in worked really well. Floors were a bit dusty in the corners. Older building with some noises and quirks - could hear footsteps from the apartment above. Good large space with big bathroom. On street parking was adequate - we got the last space one night. It was nice being able to jog over to and along the river. Neighborhood seems pretty safe, but I wouldn't walk around after dark.

  • Wonderful place in a beautiful Victorian mansion. Great central location, few minutes from restaurants but yet house surrounded by residential neighborhood which gives you the home feeling. Great inside, nice interior, has all appliances and a beautiful bath tub. Highly recommending to the Rochester visitors who want to experience the best quality and location with very affordable price. Thank you

Cozy, well stocked and newly furnished studio apartment in a 4-story brick building. Local Rochestarians can have a stay-cation and check out what our city has to offer them, or out of town guests who are visiting family at one of our many colleges and universities can enjoy their own space. Guests of varying backgrounds are welcome! Feel like a local in our apartment in the heart of our city.
This quaint corner studio apartment is located on the first floor of a brick apartment building where tenants reside. The apartments are NYC style spaces. There are a few steps upon entering the building which requires a code. Entrance into the studio apartment will also require a code. Both codes will be given to guests on the day of arrival. There are hardwoods in the main living space, as well as, the hallway. The bathroom is tiled with a clawfoot tub and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking essentials including pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils, glasses, microwave and toaster. We also offer a keurig coffee maker with k-pods, tea packets, non dairy creamer and sugar. There is wireless internet, as well as, a 40 inch smart TV that can stream popular apps including Netflix.
The building is located in a bustling and vibrant neighborhood. Nearby fast food restaurants include Arby's, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Bruegger's, as well as, a variety of well established sit down restaurants including one of my personal favorites, Aladdin's Natural Eatery (Mediterranean, good for vegetarians). Nick's Super Store is a small grocery store, just a few blocks away. There are unique gift shops such as Archimage and Poster Art. There is a Starbucks on Monroe Ave and Boulder Coffee (live music) on Alexander Street. Check out the Daily Refresher for craft cocktails or meet some friends out at Oxford's or Park Bench Pub for a drink or two. There are many more bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife in the nearby Southwedge, East End, Park Ave and downtown areas. There is a library and YMCA close by. We are centrally located to many of Rochester's most popular festivals including the Jazz Festival, The Fringe Festival, East End, Lilac and many others.
  • Very nice, very clean, very comfortable and very well located place. You will find in the studio everything you need and Ann is very kind and very reactive. The studio is very near the center of the town. I was able to go to the campus of the university for free with the Brown line (stop just in front of the studio) and I went on foot to the George Eastman Museum : it was just perfect ! If I come back to Rochester, I will return in this studio, for sure !

    Priska2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • I love my stay at the studio. The space was much bigger than I originally thought and it never felt cramped. It was a little noisy being in a multi-unit building and on a well traveled street but I knew that going in and Ann makes it no secret. I really appreciated the sound machine and ear plugs provided to combat this. There was a full kitchen which was nice and it was full of decor that expressed Rochester. Easy to park right in the front of the building with the pass provided. I would definitely stay there again.

    Ciara2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great value! Studio has everything you need. It was very clean and comfortable. Ann had nice hospitality touches all over the apartment. We had no issues parking in the parking lot. Could be a little street noisy for someone who is used to living in country, but hey, you're visiting a city. Located in the central part of Rochester which has great restaurants, festivals, and museums. Would certainly stay here again.

    Jen2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ann’s apartment was the perfect spot for us to stay while visiting family in Rochester. Located near plenty of good bars and restaurants with great parking as well. Ann was super easy to coordinate with and the apartment was a great home base as we ran around the city meeting up with family!

    Kate2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ann’s place was spectacular. The perfect place for what we needed. We were out of the house mostly all day and had a nice little spot to come back to and sleep. Ann was very helpful and clear in her communication. The street right next to the building can be a little noisy but Ann provided a noisemaker that was just perfect for an afternoon nap.

    Bethany2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ann's place was perfect for a wedding we were in, which was extremely close by. Very cute space and the bed was very comfortable, especially being exhausted after the wedding. The fact I managed to snag a parking spot right outside the balcony was amazing too! Loved this place a lot :)

    R. Joshua2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ann’s apartment was very clean, comfortable, and updated. She was a great host and was able to accommodate my need for an early check-in even though it was a last minute reservation. The only drawback was the street noise including some very loud late night passersby, but in fairness Ann did mention the noise issue in the description. Overall I was very happy with the experience.

    Suzanne2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ann's place is wonderful. It's a great location within walking distance of many places to eat. And the bed is super comfortable. Ann is a considerate and responsive host. I love it so much, this is my second visit!

A well build 2 generation family home in the famous 19th ward of Rochester. Close to both airport and downtown.

  • Great value!! Bob was very hospitable I enjoyed my stay!

    Joseph2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • I took a chance on the low price since there were predominantly positive reviews. Bob was very nice and check in was a breeze. However, I was not comfortable with the overall lack of cleanliness in the airbnb and could not spend the evening. If the place were cleaner it would be a fantastic value.

The South Wedge is a city neighborhood comprised of a triangular wedge of land bordered by the Genesee River on the west, and the Erie Canal (now I-490) on the east. It is sometimes considered to include the adjacent Swillburg and Highland Park neighborhoods, as well as parts of the Lilac Neighborhood. Both the Wedge and the Highland Park Neighborhood share the Linden-South Historic District. The area also has many small green spaces, nifty old buildings, and is in walking distance to Highland Park and Mount Hope Cemetery.
  • Great urban Home in proximity to everything that you could want to do or need to do.

  • Adam and Kara’s place was awesome! This was our second stay there because it is centrally located, very well laid out and they take the time to add little touches that make you feel welcome. I’d highly recommend to anyone staying in the Rochester area especially with a baby since you have the crib and washing machine. All around great stay and we cannot wait to go back!!

    Emily2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Adam and Kara are amazing hosts and the apartment is amazing. Perfect location, parking, WiFi, comfy bed and gorgeous apartment. Can’t wait to stay here again and again when visiting family in rochester!

    Susan2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Adams house. Warm welcome with a fridge full of bagels, milk, coffee, sodas, butter etc. Easy to visit highlights like Letchworth State Park, Niagara falls and Finger lakes. We would recommend this place!

    Eric2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was located 10 minutes away from most places. It was clean, comfy and spacious. The second bedroom even had a crib for those with babies. Adam left bagels and coffee in the freezer and DVDs for movie buffs. The only minor issue was that the WiFi wasn’t great but I had an unlimited data plan so it wasn’t a big deal for us. Would definitely stay again.

    Gloria2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Adam provides a clean, cozy atmosphere with everything you need to be comfortable while away from home.

    Diane-Ken2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very modern and up-to-date home! Would definitely stay here again. Check/in was super easy and convenient.

    Linda2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying here. My husband and I traveled from San Antonio, Texas to visit our son and daughter who attend The University of Rochester. They both had internships over the summer and were not going to be coming home so we decided to go to them. To say that we were exceedingly pleased is an understatement. We were so happy with the space and the comfort not to mention the cost. We couldn't imagine our stay any better. Everything from the style of the home to the comfort of the beds exceeded all expectations. We were able to enjoy the city and the neighborhood thanks to some suggestions from Adam. His quick responses from everything to our late check in due to a late flights to whether we could have our kids and some of their friends over for a dinner party made our stay much smoother and less stressful than we believed could be possible. Thank you for the use of your charming home and we will definitely be staying there again upon our next visit! Mario and Lori Anguiano

This home was featured in the Rochester City Magazine as an architectural gem! Located in the North Winton Village, it's close to nightlife, the city center, public market, family-friendly activities, and public transport. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The original woodwork in this home along with its Japanese architecture makes it one of a kind! It's incredibly spacious and private and just a short drive to all the hot spots! You can chill outside on the front porch in the summer or cuddle up by the fireplace to retreat from the cold! There is an enclosed side yard perfect for furry friends! A very large kitchen with all the amenities and a washer and dryer on the same floor.
My street is incredibly quiet, but also on the corner of Culver which leads you right to the city's hot spots! Just a quick drive to The George Eastman house, AuditoriumTheatre, Strong Museum, downtown nightlife, and park Ave area. Ellison park is also a quick drive as well as the public market.
  • Great home - lots of room and comfortable beds. The fenced in side yard was great for the dogs. Andrea was very helpful and got back to us quickly when we had questions. Looking forward to a return trip in December.

    Mary Ann2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very nice, the atmosphere too. Everything was clean. She left the heating on for us and when we arrived the house was warm, it was great, it was a rainy cold night. We had a short but pleasant stay. The communication with the host was always easy, she always answer our questions quickly, she gave us all the facilities to enter and leave the house. She was very nice with us.

    Pinar2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very spacious and at a good location. I would stay there again. Andrea was attentive to my texts. There was a blizzard while we were there so that made parking difficult.

  • Very spacious clean house in beautiful neighborhood, we had a wonderful stay. Easy to find, close to city center, zero complaints.

  • It was great experience. Andrea was quick and responsive. Home was clean & spacious.

    Amol2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home, and I highly recommend...the apartment itself is huge. Will definitely book again, when I can stay longer and enjoy the space. The front enclosed porch was perfect for a glass of wine at night and the side yard was equally perfect for morning coffee while the dog ran around. The open living/dining room is beautiful...incredible woodwork & historic character. This area of the city is very quiet, and has a suburban feel (it's a beautiful street too), so not much to walk to as far as nightlife & shopping, but it's still very much in the city and only a short & cheap Uber/Lyft ride from anywhere you want to go if you're not driving.

    Rob2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is huuuuuuge. The living room and dining are massive, with beautiful original ceiling, floors, trim, etc. It's great that you also get a porch and patio. This is a perfect spot for a family, considering 1 floor makes it toddler friendly as well. Andrea is great to deal with and stellar at communication.

The second bedroom contains a queen bed and a living room space with a pullout couch, TV and a Roku. In total, the apartment can sleep up to 8.
Location! Location! Location! The major museums, downtown, and festival sites (Highland Park, East End, Party in the Park, etc.) are all within walking distance.
  • Even though the stay was for only one night, it was fairly pleasant. The house has a nice rustic, original feel to it, which is nice. The beds are reasonable comfortable, and the place was really clean. The only downside was the faint smell of smoke at the bottom of the stairs, the bathroom and the back room. This is not David's fault, however, because we found out that a previous guest had disregarded the rules and smoked indoors..

    Justin2016-05-14T00:00:00Z

Spacious studio apartment in the lower level of a country home. 1 Queen Sized Bed, also the option of 2 fold out cots/air mattresses. A short drive from SUNY Brockport, The Erie Canal, 531, and 490 West. A few miles from grocery stores, dining, and other convenience shops. Private Full Kitchen and Bath. Wifi, Basic Cable, Bike Storage, On-site Parking. Shared Back Patio and Private Back Entrance. Shared W/D. No Smoking, No Pets.
  • Karen has been by far the absolute most gracious host I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with when using this or any other hospitality service. I could not be happier with my stay. The furnished studio apartment is everything as described in the listing and so much more! There are recycling bins provided. There is a full kitchen with dining table, stove, refrigerator, utensils, dishes, pots and pans and drink ware. There is a dehumidifier and fan. The bed is a queen size and comfortable. There's also a sectional sofa and large television with satellite. The bathroom is small, but nice and functional. Hand towels and bath mat are provided. I brought my own towel and bedding, but she had those items available if I wanted. The laundry room is just off the apartment in a separate room. Very convenient. The space is bright with three windows. You have your own private entry. No shoes allowed on the carpet, which I love because I like to walk barefoot on a clean floor. Karen has the cutest, sweetest dog, Ollie who is so adorable and friendly. I have to leave my dogs behind when I travel for work, so being able to interact with Oliver is a special treat for me! Karen has gone out of her way to make sure my stay at her place has been amazing. I just can't say enough about her. She's very friendly, smart and kind. I am staying for nine weeks to work in Batavia, which is a quick and pleasant drive. Karen's place is out in the country. You even get to see horses at the neighbors houses! It's quiet and peaceful. Brockport is a really neat city along the Erie Canal. There's a bike path along the canal for biking, walking or running. The shops downtown are really neat too. There's a really neat bookstore, coffee shop, and plenty of restaurants too. Brockport is a college town with many old historic homes that are architecturally interesting. I love old houses, so I'm totally into it. This has been one of my better assignments and a big part of it is how comfortable Karen's place is. I couldn't be happier with it!

    Laurie2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place is perfect for me to visit my daughter (under 10 minute drive) at SUNY Brockport. Also close to shopping, restaurants and Brockport's quaint little Main Street, and the Erie Canal. This was my second stay here and it was last minute. She is very accommodating. The space is clean and private and has everything you need, even a corkscrew and wine glasses!

  • Karen was very helpful in getting us checked in and let us go about our business. Very clean, was everything as advertised. Would recommend for anyone to stay here.

  • A gem of a place to stay in Brockport. Lots of value for the price. Karen was very accommodating. We had the whole lower part of the house to ourselves with a private entrance. The bed was super comfy and they had all the extras you would need. We will most definitely stay here again

    Shelley2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, simple and comfortable! Host is very accommodating.

    Kim2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place was perfect for me! Rural setting, but minutes from Brockport, a cute college town along the Erie Canal with a cute downtown area. Great old houses kept in nice shape. Interesting stores, bars and restaurants. Make sure to bring your bicycle to ride the bike path along the canal or the quiet country roads around Karen's place! Only 25 minutes to Batavia where you have to eat at Main Street Pizza, a great Italian restaurant. Nice golfing in Batavia also! Karen is an a amazing host! She's considerate and hospitable. Her dog Ollie is a cutie pie too! The apartments kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you need such as pots, pans, dishes, drinkware and silverware. Very comfortable.

    Laurie2017-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • I was back in Brockport for another show at the college and I stayed at Karen's place again. As with my first two stays the place was clean and comfy. I don't think I ever want to stay in a hotel again after the great experiences I have had with this Airbnb.

This is a cozy upstairs apartment (read “quiet”, no noisy neighbors) right in the middle of the city of Rochester. This apartment has everything you might need so pack light and plan on having fun.
  • Elizabeth's place was immaculate! Such a cute little place with great amenities. We did end up using the kitchen and it had most of the stuff we needed. Elizabeth was quick to respond to questions and was really helpful. parking was a little confusing, but you just park on the side with everybody else.

    Mischa2018-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth was a wonderful host. The apartment is lovely and tastefully done. The bed is very comfortable with great linens. Bathroom has nice towels and great bath and body products. Any little thing you may have forgotten is provided. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, milk and many other generous touches. We loved the place and will definitely come back when we are in Rochester. We were also pleasantly surprised by Rochester itself. Very clean streets, nice friendly people lots to do and see. The Strong Museum of Play is great fun and The George Eastman Museum was well worth the visit.

  • Wonderful private top floor flat. Clean, brilliantly laid out. Downstairs entry foyer excellent for hanging coats and leaving stuff. Quiet block. Easy but tricky parking. Quick access to all. The little kitchen is perfect. I made two meals a day and hosted my daughter and her boyfriend. Would only stay here when I come back to Rochester. Elizabeth is a considerate hostess and really had great taste.

  • Clean, quiet and comfortable. Everything you need is provided.

    Gary2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The only issue, which was unfortunately a major issue, was the check-in process. The keyless entry pad had a dead battery. Because of this, we could not get into the Airbnb. We reached out to Elizabeth several times and we did not hear back until 11:30 that evening. When we did hear back from Elizabeth, she did not offer to come that evening to correct the solution, which was just perplexing. Once we met with Elizabeth the next morning and she corrected the issue, we had no other issues moving forward. She was very nice and offered us a refund For the night we were not able to stay, and an additional amount for the inconvenience. Had we not had this issue, I would have given this review five stars. The location was great for our plans, and we were able to find parking right in front of the house. Be mindful of the parking signs. We did need to move our car in the middle of the afternoon to avoid getting ticketed. The issue with checking in was unfortunate, and I’m sure will not be an issue with further stays.

  • Jim and Kathy shared their lovely home and were a pleasure to converse with. It was a memorable stay!

  • Jim and Cathy hosted me during my interview time. They drove me to the hospital for interview, and also dropped me at the train station on the last day. They were very warm and friendly. The room was cute and clean, the giraffe was particularly adorable. I would definitely stay at their place again if I were to revisit Rochester.

    Ningxin2014-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • My son Jordan and I stayed with Jim and Kathy for one night, as we were checking out a university Jordan may attend. We had a very nice stay. The room was nice and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable! It was hard to get out of bed in the morning. They were so kind. Jim picked us up at the airport late at night when we arrived, and even dropped us off at the university the next morning. They also made sure we were well fed for our day! Jordan appears to have chosen the university in Rochester, so Julie and I will definitely be staying with them again!

    David2014-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Kathy are such caring and thoughtful people. They have taken a lot effort to make the jungle room welcoming and comfortable. There is a desk to use your laptop or tablet with the wifi password neatly displayed. Everything was perfectly clean and so nicely organized. Breakfast included many options including fresh fruit, cereals, and bagels. Kathy was so helpful by finding the route to my workshop in the morning. I felt well rested after a long drive the day before and was energized and ready to go in the morning!

Our place is in the City Center East End close to restaurants, coffee shops, independent film movie theater, family-friendly activities, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the location, ambiance, the comfy bed, and the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups (we have FOUR completely independent rooms with all amenities each). Think of a mini Hotel thats complete self serve like Yotel NYC.
Our place was designed and built with the traveller/adventurer in mind, each room is designed to maximize your comfort, and it's all brand new! With four rooms all adjoined by a common entrance and lobby, it's easy to get in and out and the best part is the location! Right in the heart of the East End with everything you'll love less than a block or two from the front door; coffee houses, great restaurants, independent film theater and all the museums within easy walking distance.

A 1400 sq ft private walk-out basement. You will have access to a private entrance/exit from the Airbnb. The layout is very open and spacious - much like a large studio. The main sleeping area with a king and twin mattress is off to one side separated from the main living room by the staircase that leads upstairs (which is off limits for our guests for our privacy). In the living area there is another full sized mattress, 3 sofas, a 65in smart HD TV, along with a mini kitchenette. Look through the rest of our listing for more details.
We are located near Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Rochester, and are just 15 minutes from the Marketplace mall/major grocery stores. Also there is a wide variety of great dining spots of all different kinds of cuisines as well.

  • This place was perfect! I came from North Carolina visiting my boyfriend who goes to RIT. It’s about a 10 minute drive from his campus, and it’s easy to get there. The space was very clean and Deepak and his family were very responsive with everything I needed. Any issues I had, they helped as soon as possible. I had an issue getting chrome cast to work, and his son came right down to help. I requested a DVD player and they had one installed for me when I got there. They had just put in the sidewalk to the private entrance when I arrived but by the second day I was able to use it, and it looks great. It is plenty big enough for a family, or a couple. They will have little to no interaction with you if that’s what you prefer, but will be right there if you need anything. The door to the house from the Airbnb space is locked while you’re there, so nobody will come down or go up without permission. They are a wonderful family and very helpful! It was quiet, and I will definitely stay again. I would highly recommend.

    Amanda2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Deepak's place was exactly as described: CLEAN, convenient and a great value.

    Mark2018-06-25T00:00:00Z

  • Deepak’s place is wonderful. It is clean and spacious. I did not get the chance to meet him, unfortunately. His place is in the suburbs and is only residential, but the cleanness, amenities and calmness is worth the detour. We were there for a night on a college visit to Rochester Institute of Technology. Thank you!

  • Once again, a wonderfully peaceful stay at Dani's! I really appreciated the kids being allowed to play with her boys' outside toys and ride bikes. That made our stay especially fun for the kids! Dani was so hospitable and made us feel like family. We miss y'all already! If we're ever back in Rochester, we will definitely stay again!

  • We were in Rochester to visit family. It was a quiet, comfortable place for us to zone out after a big crazy family party. We only stayed one night, so we didn't get to explore the nearby wildlife refuge, may be another trip. Danielle left us lots of info about what was available in the area. It is not right in the City of Rochester, but it is an easy drive.

    Michele2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Room was very clean and quiet. Danielle and her family were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this space to anyone visiting Rochester.

  • Wow! Dani and her family were amazing! The room was very private, but she was always available when we had a question. She gave us directions to places we needed to go and was very helpful with local information. The room was immaculate and the bed very comfortable. Awesome lotion in the bathroom smelled so good! I would say that Dani is a very gracious and talented person. This was like staying at a friend's house. She knows exactly what to do to make you feel welcome and at home! I can't say enough about how much we appreciate her hospitality and caring nature! We enjoyed talking to her and her family. I wish I could have taken her dog home with me.

  • Ken was very communicative and my arrival was straightforward. The neighborhood was pleasant and I had an easy walk to a nearby drugstore to get myself some snacks. The apartment is very sparse and minimal, but it met my needs. Sound travels through the house from the space above, but the hosts were not loud or bothersome.

NEWLY RENOVATED BATHROOM!!!Ranch style house with lots of bedrooms. My house is walking distance from Rochester Institute of Technology with nightlife 5 minutes down the road. My house is a 5 minute drive from the airport as well as a 15 minute drive into the city of Rochester. UBER is available.
Ranch style home built in 1944. Has a cabin feel and I'm using Airbnb money to do repairs and make improvements. We have just added a new renovated bathroom! The space is in no way perfect but this home is a time machine back to an era where craftsmanship was valued. The original owner was my grandfather who built the home himself with his own two hands. Again, this home is in no way perfect and is a work in progress but I've modernized it a bit and I'm always making improvements. My home is very close to RIT, UofR, MCC and ROC airport. It is also very close to dining and nightlife options on my street. Host lives in the home as well
My place is is a very very great location you'll find. Centrally located between all of the universities and a short uber trip into the city. I'm located 15 min outside the city so streets are not that busy. The road I live on has so many dining options...food and drinks here are amazing. I'm not far from finger lakes wine country either.

    Jimmy2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were referred to this listing by Airbnb staff when our booking was cancelled by another host who made a listing but wasn't ready for guests yet. I clicked the listing as I trusted Airbnb support to help us out as I had already been charged. I've stayed at airbnbs all over the place. This listing was for a older home going through remodel which I can understand and I have no problem with things being old. I do however have a problem with things being filthy, bug infested, and gross. The front half of the home looks a little better, but the back half where we were staying was honestly gross. The carpet is waxy, almost sticky as it hasn't been cleaned in a long time (70s orange). There were bugs and bug carcasses all over, a woman's hair tie, and spider webs everywhere. We tried to go into another room but I was attacked by 3 flying better type bugs I almost had a heart attack. The bathroom was awful and dirty, and trash was full of feminine products as it hadn't been emptied in a long time. Although there is a remodeled bathroom up front, the one by our room was plain dirty and gross. I'm upset at Airbnb but more upset at this host for thinking it's ok to rent the back rooms out to people in this condition. I'm sure once it's remodeled completely it could be a good place but in the current condition, do not, and I repeat, do not stay. I hate to leave a bad review because ive had some amazing experiences on Airbnb, but this was one of the worst places. My husband and I had to leave after 4 hours. Airbnb and the host have yet to refund me, so I'm not sure how much longer I will use Airbnb unless this is resolved. I hope this host will finish his remodel before renting it out again.

  • this was my first time at an airbnb with an "absentee landlord" not on site, which is what i'm used to. it was near where i needed to be and in walking distance. once i met the others and realized there were 4 rooms for rent, i walked around the bldg and unless the owners' quarters are hidden in a bunker, this house is completely an airbnb. it was different.

  • Kirk is truly a super host. He came out to greet us even when we reached very late at night. The stay was comfortable and convenient for the price.

This 1920 home is on a tree lined street. The interior of the home is a mixture of modern and period decor. The setting is historic, friendly and well maintained. George Eastman and staff lived in this neighborhood. Lowest crime area of Rochester. During cold weather, the queen bed has a dual control mattress pad. States that it has gentle heat therapy to sooth aching muscles overnight .
Large 1920 built Edwardian House - warm and friendly atmosphere. Several areas of the house have gone through an update/renovation. The listing bedroom comfortably fits 2 guests. There is ample parking available. When you make a reservation, please let us know if you'd like flannel or cotton sheets on the bed. The house is kept at a moderately warm temperature during the colder seasons (not too hot and not too cold). If you would like additional blankets, beyond the two that are on the bed, please ask. Central air conditioning keeps the house comfortably cool during the warmer months. An oscillating fan comes standard in the room, as well.
The houses were all built in the early 1900's (from (phone number hidden)). Every property on the street has at least one tree in the front yard and most trees are close to 100 years old. The street is extra wide, which gives it a feeling of spaciousness. The area is quiet and in my opinion it's also very safe.
  • The house is on a quiet street near lots of restaurants and some cute shops. There are also a few local sites within walking distance. Brett and Scott make an excellent effort to make guests feel comfortable. The room was tidy with amenities readily available and both the hosts are very approachable if you need to ask for something. It seems small but I really appreciated the pitcher of water and drinking glass on the desk. If you have time to hang out for dinner Brett is a very good cook.

    Kat2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were great, very welcoming and flexible. The room was fantastic, and was very well described. The Neighborhood was spectacular. No hotel could compare to the location!

    Anthony2014-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was exceptional. Brett was out of town, but Scott was a perfect host. Check in was easy and we were given a thorough tour. Access to the home is electronic and allows you to come and go as you please. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and came with a carafe of water and some snacks, which was a nice touch. The bathroom is updated with a great shower and we were provided with clean towels for each of us. We had no issues with parking and were always able to get a spot close by. The kitchen was great for us because we were there during Thanksgiving and wanted to have dinner as a family. This kitchen has everything and was the perfect location for us. Having access to laundry was a plus because this allowed us to pack light. We enjoyed spending time with Scott and getting to know him better during our visit. For us this was like staying with family. I highly recommend Park Ave. and will definitely stay here whenever we are visiting Rochester.

  • Pouring rain at our arrival. Scott was totally ready with umbrella and towels; we felt very much welcomed. We actually booked the room for my father. The place met all our expectations.

    Marcel2014-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was excellent! Brett and Scott were really nice. Would definitely stay at their nice home again.

    Regina2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Brett and Scott were fantastic hosts kind and very professional. The home is excellent and the room was perfect, a pitcher of water, wifi instructions, towels were all waiting when I arrived. Brett met me at the door. Fantastic experience. I will be back.

    James2016-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our arrival time was quite late, and our host was very accommodating. He stayed up and warmly welcomed us. A tour of the house and the kitchen, especially the refrigerator, was very exciting! We were pleasantly surprised that we were welcome to eat whatever they had, and we were even more pleased that everything was fresh, local and organic! The home, our room, and the hospitality we experienced were equal to or exceeded all the reviews and our expectations. Our room and shared bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our conversations with our hosts. Our privacy was also respected. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood, easily accessible to the freeway, and easy to find. This was our first experience with airbnb. It was fabulous! We loved our stay!

    Lori2014-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brett's Park Ave - Comfortable Harvard Room is an excellent choice if you wish to visit Rochester, NY. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood of private homes and just a few blocks away from a string of excellent restaurants with open air seating. Brett was very attentive and welcoming to both me and my family, even those that came to visit us while we were there. My wife, Susie, and I visited Rochester to attend my nephew's graduation from the University of Rochester on May 17, 2015. My brother and his wife stayed in a room across from ours in the same house. The room accommodations were just right and very nicely decorated. The Ethan Allen bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom, which was next to our room was kept very clean throughout our stay, although it was shared with three other rooms! Brett coordinated the times for early morning baths to make sure no one missed their special events for the day. He kept in touch with his guests via email and texting when they weren't immediately available. The kitchen was modern and Brett made sure we felt comfortable using it. Brett was a wonderful, attentive host that made us feel like family. The living room and back porch accommodations were also very comfortable, although the large island in the kitchen was the center of social activities! We would definitely stay with Brett for any subsequent visits to Rochester and heartily recommend his home to anyone wishing comfortable accommodations with the welcoming touch of visiting family!

Private bedroom and bathroom in loft in downtown Rochester. Exposed brick, tons of natural light, and walking distance to Geva, Eastman, Liberty Pole, museums, and restaurants. Right in the center of the Jazz Festival. Cohabitants: two friendly cats and I. Even when I’m not hosting I sleep on the couch, I love it so don’t feel bad! The kitchen and dining areas are available for you to use anytime!
Luxury loft in downtown recently renovated from office building built in the 1920s. The exposed brick is a warm counterpoint to the high ceilings and exposed air ducts. The large windows allow tons of light in, and retractable blinds are in place for privacy.
Downstairs and just across the street is the Liberty Pole, which is lit with hundreds of lights. Next door you will find shops, restaurants, coffee spots, and a fantastic used book store! Four blocks away is the Little theater which plays independent films every night and has musical performances in its cafe. Only 20 minutes from the airport!
  • Great Place, centrally located, very clean and quiet. If I pass through Rochester again I will definitely stay here.

  • The Downtown Oasis is exactly that! Beautiful and spacious from the 5th floor in Downtown Rochester. The Liberty Pole Square is lit up at night and quite beautiul. Easy access to the Bus and Train. Public bicycles to rent as well ( although no helmet.) Lot's of unique neighborhoods, restaurants and shopping nearby. I am glad I did not have a car since parking on site was limited. Uber, Lyft and taxi service very dependable. Lorraine and her feline family of 2 were gracious, laid back and hospitable. • Lorraine’s place is luxurious, sparkling clean, trendy, and centrally located with a great view. Her cats are friendly and cuddly as well. Who could ask for more? She herself is flexible, fun to talk to, and communicates very well. She was also graciously patient with us after a day of travel. She’s an Air BnB saint!

Beautiful basement fully renovated for guests. We just moved to Rochester, NY and we finished a major renovation in the whole house.
Large basement with open floor plan. Bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of shelving. The living room area has a sofa bed and a smart TV, nice dining room table and a small, but complete, kitchen. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, two burner electrical stove, coffee maker, microwave, mixer and all the cooking supplies you may need. There's also a very comfortable daybed and a large bathroom. Because it’s a basement the ceiling is a little lower, so if you are very tall you should consider that. We live in the house above the basement but you will have a private entrance. The basement has 7 windows and the bathroom also has a window. We have a 2 year old son and our house has old wood floors, although we try to keep him as quiet as possible in the mornings, you will probably hear us. If you are driving, there's plenty of parking in front of the house.
Quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. Less than 3 miles to the beach and to parks like Durand Eastman Park.
  • Nice basement apartment that the hosts have put effort into to have all the right amenities. Steps down to the basement are steep.

    Don2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve never met hosts as friendly and helpful as Fabio and Mariana. Their place is all you need for a perfect stay in Rochester. The neighborhood is perfectly safe and walkable, the house is close to Wegmans for your groceries. And the apartment itself is perfectly equipped with all the little thoughtful touches you might need. This is my second time at the place and I can not recommend it more.

  • Highly recommend! I was discouraged by the low quality accommodations available near the Univ of Rochester, so I chose Jen's place further afield (about 20 mins drive) and am SO glad I did! Jen is lovely and communicative, and her family home is warm, cozy, contemporary and clean. I felt very safe, comfortable and "at home" for my night in Rochester. The comfortable bed afforded a great night's sleep, and I was happy to have the bathroom right off the bedroom. Jen's a lovely host. Thank you again, Jen!

Our quaint home is packed with 1940s character and charm. It features wood floors throughout, a sun room/patio, and is located steps from 12 Corners in Brighton. We’re picky about cleanliness- you’re not likely to find a cleaner house! Our home is a 7-minute drive to Downtown Rochester, 9 minutes to Strong Hospital, 5 minutes to Pittsford and 1 minute to the 590 expressway. Come see Rochester for work or play and stay in the most beautiful neighborhood on the East Side!
The large guest bedroom sits on its own side of the house. It hosts a memory foam queen bed with pillows, two closets, windows, a desk and chair, and WiFi. All bedding is brand new. An electric kettle sits on the desk with an assortment of teas and other hot beverages, instant oatmeal and snacks. A sound machine is next to the bed, available for you to use. The house has central air conditioning and central heat. We also provide a space heater if guests need extra heat during the chilly winter months. Guests have access to the main living areas, dining room and kitchen. The living room has a TV with Apple TV, a sound bar, and brand new furniture.
We have sidewalks down our street and lighting to ensure safety at night. You can walk from our home to the popular 12 Corners for coffee, fresh bagels, other restaurants and shopping. Local colleges such as St. John Fisher, Roberts Wesleyan, Nazareth, University of Rochester, and Rochester Institute of Technology (and NTID) are all under 20 minutes from our location.

  • Above and beyond what could be expected from an Airbnb. Thorough instructions, very communicative, lavishly decorated, and countless amenities. Would definitely recommend! Looking forward to staying again!

  • Amazing place. Huge but well ventilated. Tall ceilings we expected the air to be warmer but the AC was fantastic. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the breakfast was delicious. Hospitality and communication was spot on. Couch and bed were extremely comfortable. Thank you to the chef and Steve.

A short walk to the Bay. Water and woods, birds, and deer abound in my homes peaceful, quiet setting. Two minutes to 590 expressway, stores, grocery (including Wegman’s), restaurants, bars, library, pier, waterfront dining, walking paths, hiking trails, Durand-Eastman Park, Webster Park, Hospitals, Urgent Care.
Natural setting. Cozy and clean. Your room has a large dresser, fireplace, an east-facing window overlooking a beech tree. Knotty-Pine ceiling. Adirondack mirror, round table with two chairs. Full-length mirror. Comfortable mattress, old-fashioned metal headboard, flannel and satin sheets in the winter, warm and cozy comforter.
It is a natural setting, water, woods, wildlife, and wonderful neighbors. Walkable neighborhood any time of day or night.
  • Ellen was very accommodating and made me feel very welcome.

  • Ellen's bungalow is just as sweet as the photos. And, it's in a secret feeling neighborhood that is a real gem (but super easy to find, if that combination is possible). You can walk to the edge of the water in about a minute and enjoy the tranquil shoreline. She has two cats who will also make you feel welcome. The decor is a bit southwestern, a bit South American, and a bit bungalow country house. When I woke up, I had an international feeling of homeyness.

  • Ellen's home is clean, cozy and welcoming. The perfect spot to rest after a great day in Rochester. You will be much better off for meeting her.

  • Everything was perfect when we got there! She had the bed made, towel laid out, and even some nice stickers for my son. The bed was super comfy. We even walked down the street and enjoyed looking at the water.
