  • This is a lovely clean caravan in a fantastic peaceful location next to the water. We were greeted by our friendly host Amanda and her husband and offered bikes and scooters to borrow : ) Even though it was November, the caravan was lovely & cosy. Clean towels and toiletries were provided and kitchen essentials. There are lots of DVDs to keep the kids entertained inside. Outside we fed the ducks, guinea fowl and cockatiels, and saw the horses and sheep. We had a lovely walk around the nature reserve at dusk and saw the birds coming in to roost and geese flying over in formation. From the caravan we saw a kingfisher and about 20 other species of birds just in 1 day! It's an excellent location to relax and feel at one with nature. In the evening we walked approx 15 mins to the town and had a good pub meal at the Old Mill. Thank you Amanda we really enjoyed our stay & will definitely be back!

  • Absolutely fantastic chalet. Close to hull and Barton centre but feels very secluded and peaceful. The hosts were great and kept in contact via text to update us with information. Provided a high chair and travel cot for our baby for no additional cost. The hosts' children invited ours to help feed the animals and were very welcoming. We would love to visit again!

  • This was a stunning setting and perfect for anyone with an interest in animals and wildlife. Quiet rural spot with super hosts that were very welcoming and helpful. My 7 year old twin grand children loved it.

A spacious Duplex Flat in a landmark building in the centre of the historic Old Town. Situated within City Exchange, the former Post Office Building.
The flat has two floors, each of which benefit from tall windows that give it a distinctive look. The first floor has an open plan lounge and kitchen area. The lounge has a large sofa bed and two armchairs, coffee table, and 42" plasma TV with freeview. A CD player also is available, and I have a selection of CDs for you to explore. The sofabed in the lounge is good for 1 adult or 2 children. Separate linen, pillows and duvet will be made available for to make up the sofabed of an evening. It's a comfy bed and really quick and simple to set up. Please note that I don't currently have wifi, but there is excellent 4G coverage within the flat, as well as a local wifi BT hotspot you can pick up on if you are a subscriber The Kitchen includes an oven with electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, sink, washer/dryer machine, toaster and a range of cutley/pans/plates etc allowing you to cook rather than eat out. I also have provided an iron and ironing board. The entrance hallway houses the spiral staircase that leads up to the bedroom and bathrooms. The bed is king sized, and a large wardrobe contains fresh, spare linen and towels. The bathroom is located.off the bedroom and has a bath, overhead shower, sink, toilet and an airing-cupboard containing the water heater. The upstairs landing also has a second toilet room. Handy for guests who are using the sofa bed in the lounge and therefore don't need to disturb their friends when a comfort break calls in the night. The flat is part of a block, but there are no neighbours, as it is located in its own wing, so it is nice and quiet, despite being right in the heart of the city. Access is provided by a combination of keypad control, swipe card and keys. There is no car parking space allocated with the flat, but there are plenty of spaces available on the street or in local municipal car parks that are cheap and safe. The best car park is George Street Multistorey. A short walk, and cheap. There is a secure bicycle area on the site too.
Being located in the Old Town, there are numerous bars, restaurants and pubs in the vicinity. I recommend you seek out Ye Olde White Harte if you get chance. All other parts of the city centre are less than 15 minutes walk away. The main shopping high street is near to the train station. The Deep is an excellent aquarium on the river, and near to that is the pleasant Fruit Market area and Marina. There are several museums in the near vicinity too. And 2017 is the year that Hull is the UK City of Culture, so do check the local press for special events as they pop up.
  • Excellent town centre accommodation in an interesting venue.

  • Mark was a lovely host. Very communicative and happy to answer any questions we had. He not only allowed us to check in early but was contactable and straight on the case when we accidentally broke the door key in the lock. The apartment is exactly as pictured and perfect for a stay in Hull. Right in town and although very close to a Wetherspoons we were not disturbed at all by city centre noise. I would highly recommend staying here and will look to stay again on future visits to Hull.

  • Mark was a good host and we had a comfortable stay in his apartment which was very well located for visiting Hull's old town.

  • Very well located, spacious and well-provided apartment.

    Gordon2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Craig2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • A lot of cobwebs and damp near the windows. Could do with an update on the windows. Also WiFi would be great. Might of been a big ask for a parking spot for convenience, but free on street parking after 6pm till 8:30am the next day. Apart from that it was perfect.

    Jack2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great. The host was friendly and helpful, the place was clean and tidy and everything I needed was there.

    Michael2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We much enjoyed our time in Mark’s flat. It is ideally situated for exploring Hull itself. Car parking ( £3.20 a day in a nearby multistorey) was convenient and we made successful expeditions to Beverley and Burton Constable. The flat itself is a bit basic and the stairs keep you fit (and the spiral stair up to the bedroom would be difficult with a big suitcase) but these were not problems for us.

A unique and very spacious self contained apartment in a Grade II converted Georgian House. Located in Hull city centre, within walking distance of most of Hull's attractions and events during Hull's year as 'City of Culture'. The apartment sleeps 6 - 7 people, with flexible sleeping arrangements, so it's ideal for large groups or families. The very large kitchen-diner/sitting room comfortably seats everyone and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and dining.
Sleeps 5+1 1 Double Bedroom - Kingsize Bed 1 Double Bedroom - Double Bed + 1 Single Bed Common Space - 1 Single Bed The first bedroom has a kingsize bed, and has a very traditional feel with some antique furniture. If required, there is space in this bedroom for an extra single bed or travel cot (which can be provided) A highchair is also available. The second bedroom has contemporary decor. It has a double bed and a single bed. There is space also in this room for a travel cot. In the sitting room, there is comfortable futon for 1 person. There is plenty of storage space for your belongings. Towels and fresh bedding are also provided, and beds are made-up ready for your arrival. You'll find a welcome basket on arrival with some breakfast provisions, tea and coffee and a small bowl of fresh fruit. Our ground floor apartment has period features, including an enormous 19th century roof lantern/atrium above the kitchen, original sash windows and high ceilings. Rest assured though that it provides the modern conveniences that you require, such as a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom with bath and shower above bath, large flat screen TV and free, fast unlimited wi-fi. The kitchen, dining space and living area is open plan, and provides a truly stunning space for relaxing and entertaining. In summary, our apartment is unique (well, we think it is). We understand (on good authority ) that the original pair of semi-detached houses were built by Mr Barclay and his son-in-law of Barclay's Bank in the mid 18th century. It's likely that the apartment was originally the 'Drawing Room', and entertained famous and infamous guests during its' day!
  • Louise was very helpful from the start, answering my queries swiftly and comprehensively. We appreciated the welcome pack and her parent's help in carrying in our luggage. The apartment was very spacious with a stunning dining, kitchen, lounge. Very clean and well cared for. The location is excellent - very close to the centre of town and New Theatre is just round the corner. We were in Hull for Heritage Weekend and there was so much to see and do. We thought Hull is a fascinating city with lots of interesting buildings of varying styles. Enjoyed our visit very much.

  • Great location for the centre of Hull and enjoying all the cultural and social highlights. The house is just down the road from a couple of nightclubs which makes things lively on a Friday night!

  • Me and my kids have stayed at Louise's flat during our holiday in Yorkshire. We highly recommend as the place has a great location - very close to the coast and the city center. The flat is spacious and well presented. Louise has been a great host accommodating multiple booking changes and extra guests. Steve&Family

  • Beautiful apartment and great place to stay while we were working at the Theatre. Louise even kindly picked us up from the Station. Highly recommend. Make sure you read the welcome pack re: heating and hot water.

  • Perfectly located, and an amazing space. Pictures don't convey quite how large it is. A wonderful family stay for a week and kids love the uniqueness of the property. The games box and amnesty cupboard for supplies were a welcome surprise.

We had the pleasure of staying at HausBar Farm this past week. The stay was nothing short of incredible. The house was beautiful, and our host left us with fresh eggs from their farm, a local beer and tons of other goodies to make our stay more comfortable. Everything from the donkeys, baby bunnies, and Gustavo (the goose who oversees everything), to the home with all of the amenities for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The farm is located just a short distance from the airport and is close to many great restaurants, hiking, and swimming. Although it was difficult to pull ourselves away from the farm and all of the cute animals and beautiful garden, we also took the recommendations of restaurants from our host and were never disappointed. As a first timer to Austin, I am completely sold on the city and the wonderful people who reside there. I can't wait to come back again soon and will definitely come back to HausBar Farm. It's a truly magical place!

My husband and I visited Austin to attend a friend's wedding this past weekend. Sylvia's place was absolutely perfect for us. It was very close to downtown and had everything we needed. The place was very clean, well-lit, the perfect temperature, and super cozy. Right around the corner from the location is a yummy vegan food truck, a new espresso counter, and a quaint cafe with good breakfast items (Cenote). I highly recommend Sylvia's place.

My experience matched the other reviews I had read beforehand very well. Jason is very attentive, yet also stays out of your way. The Cabana is a cute, fully separate little house with clean, modern interiors. It's small, but a perfectly adequate and self-sufficient space for one to a few individuals.
