Origami is a traditional art of paperback crafting from Japan. It’s s intellectual, creative, artistic and relaxing.
Our sessions are fully customized, either you simply would like to enjoy the paper crafting or you are interested in Japanese culture.
You will choose a few Origami from options with different skill levels. If you pick traditional ones, you will hear their background stories as well, to get to know Japanese culture and values. I will demonstrate foldings step by step, emphasizing important skills. If you have questions or requests, I can stop and help you anytime.

- 3 sheets of 15cm (about6 inch) ×15cm SQUARE paper. Ideally ORIGAMI paper but if they are not available, any paper is fine. Avoid too hard paper.
- Another sheet of the same sized paper for a spare
- A scissors
- A pen or pencil

I always have an endless interest in traditional Japanese culture. I started Origami when I was 3, and practiced it intensively especially when I lived abroad at the age of 7. There me and my little sister had no toys nor friends. So we cut any available paper into square and made a lot of paper flowers, animals, furniture and people. We did the same thing at school, surprised other kids and could make friends with them.
Origami is a great way to make you concentrated, leaving things behind, finished with the sense of achieving something beautiful, and get connected with people.
I have a PhD in cultural heritage study and have hosted guided tours in an old part of Tokyo (https://www.airbnb.jp/experiences/1051949 ). I would like to share our culture to everyone who would like to know about Japan .
