Was ihr unternehmen werdet

I will give a brief overview of Tai Chi and Qi Gong so that you get an understanding of what we will be doing in the class.

We will begin with some gentle stretching followed by some Tai Chi and Qi Gong that encourage slow sweeping movements with deep breathing, finishing off with a beautiful singing bowl meditation to relax the body and still the mind.

This experience is designed to get you moving and breathing gently & deeply to restore balance and peace to your entire being.

At the end of class we can have a talk over a cup of tea and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions.

I have tai chi straight sword, broadsword and tai chi fans that I can show on request. These are weapons I have used in competitions and performances over the years.

If the class time does not suit, please message me to discuss other alternatives.

I've been doing martial arts for over 20 years, competed in Tai Chi interstate and internationally, performed at Chinese New Year festivals and events and am actively involved in the Tai Chi and Wu Shu community.

For me Tai Chi is like a “moving meditation” – I get to work out my body while doing it in a relaxing way that feels good. The slow gentle movements with breathing help relax my body and mind. I practice daily meditation and love using the beautiful tones of the singing bowl to help relax the body and instill an inner peace.

I love travelling, health and fitness, meeting new people, looking after our environment and enjoying the wonderful world we live in.

Theresa is a masterful tai chi practioner. I am really grateful for the opportunity to have learned so much about this art and to practice along with her. What made this online experience so special to me is the incredible flow of energy that I still feel. Theresa followed up our tai chi with an active yet calming meditation session - the best kind for me personally. Amazing experience really inspiring. I could feel my whole body and connect to every part of it. Theresa is so lovely and so professional at the same time. She is super expert and explains everything in a easy way. I really recommend it and I intend to do it another time. The Tai Chi part was fulfilling and the ending meditation incredible. This was a truly magical experience. I have always been curious about tai chi and decided to try this class with Theresa. She was so welcoming and friendly and explains the background and technique really well. I was surprised at how easy it was to follow along over Zoom! But the actual movements blew me away; I think I'm hooked now. I hope to have follow-up classes with her in the future and have told all of my friends about it. Theresa is extremely knowledgeable about tai chi and other martial arts and participates in competitions, so learning from her is a special experience. She also practices tai chi with weapons and showed me the swords she uses in competitions, which was fascinating. I would highly recommend this session to anyone looking to both learn about tai chi and learn how to do some sequences and warm-ups (amazing if you work at a computer!). I also LOVED the guided singing bowl meditation at the end, which is expertly led and left me feeling centered and restored. Do it! You won't be disappointed.

We loved this experience. Theresa was engaging and enthusiastic and really set the tone by telling us about herself and how she came to practice t’ai chi. She took the time to find out about us and set out really clearly how the class was structured and what to expect. Class and instructions were clear and we thought the pace was just right. A really relaxing and energising start to the day. Aftercare was great too - we got tips plus links to videos so that we could try some of the practice on our own. Highly recommended.
