My passion for the sugar cane spirits also led me to publish Rumporter en Español, the only printed magazine about rum in the spanish speaking world, as well as runing over a 100 tastings sessions and master classes for consumers and professionals .
For the past couple of years I have been actively participating as a member of the panel of judges at several rum festivals around Europe and North America.
Back in 2014 I founded @Laronronera, a small Rum bar located in downtown Madrid that today is recognized as one of the top bars in Europe to drink rum.

What a fun experience! We made three delicious coffee rum cocktails and learned about what makes a good cocktail in the process. Sergio was really great about making sure he understood what ingredients everyone had and coming up with alternatives based on what people had on hand. We had such a fun time and ended up making three cocktails that we will (and have) made again! Would definitely recommend this class to others!

This was a fantastic experience. Emiliano was such a personable host and led us to have a very enjoyable cocktail making experience. Easy to make cocktails that we will definitely be making again. My girlfriend and I want to go visit him in person. 100% recommend for anyone that’s on the edge.

Who knew there were so many nuances about Rum? Emiliano expertly walks you through rum from the inception to the drink. It was enlightening to understand more about rum that I had no idea about. A great experience for learning about rum as well as ending with a yummy drink.

What a wonderful way to “travel” to a different country during a global pandemic! Absolutely wonderful drink mixes. We have never combined rum and coffee before. Will definitely be making these drinks at home. Sergio was very friendly and did a great job presenting. Would highly recommend this experience!
