Was ihr unternehmen werdet
The tour includes not only sightseeing, you will also learn a lot on local art and exhibitions, local customs, 20th century history and linguistic influences throughout different parts of Croatia, which might give you a broader picture and context of local culture. Let's meet in front of meteorological pillar on Zrinjevac square, and from there we will take a walk through centuries, climbing to the upper part of Zagreb town, visiting Kaptol and Gradec, connected by one of the most beautiful farmers markets in Europe, Dolac. While strolling through the upper town we'll visit most famous Zagreb churches and public buildings, old Zagreb town walls, and I will give you plenty of recommendations and advices on what exhibitions to see- Zagreb is full of interesting museums and galleries, and some of them became quite famous. We'll descend from the upper town with the oldest and shortest european funicular, and then pass through the WW2 tunnel, and end our tour at the lower town again, on Flower square- a pedestrian zone and one of the favourite places for a coffee break for all the locals. Also be ready to learn some basic croatian along the way. :)
