Was ihr unternehmen werdet
In 2014, I gave up my corporate insurance job to sell handcrafted kuehs using my mother's recipes, updating them slightly to suit a younger crowd. After we taste our way through high-quality street foods, I'll show you how to make these tasty traditional dumplings at my own stall. We'll stop by an old market and enjoy a traditional coffee break at a coffee shop that is one of the last of its kind.

Wo ihr sein werdet
We'll start at the Berseh Food Centre, which is where my own stall is, to taste local food fare, then visit a traditional provision shop on Sungei Road and a 40-year-old coffee shop that still serves toasted bread and good local coffee.

What a great experience, Singapore has so many sides, taking this tour allows you to experience one of the more real sides. Nick and Karen, made us feel so welcome and shared so much about their business and life in Singapore. We had a brilliant time attempting to make a dumpling; just a few thousand more and we made be just good enough. We also loved trying traditional coffee and toast, something we would not have probably done, without their guidance. Thank you for your time and enthusiasm.

Nick was so knowledgeable, and generous with his knowledge.
His philosophy on life, and the path that led him to starting this business is genuinely inspiring.
Not only did I take away dumpling making/ preparing skills, I also gained valuable life lessons. I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone in Singapore looking for something exciting and special.
Many thanks Nick

This experience is really wonderful, Nick takes time to explain this family's history with dumplings and how he developed his own unique style and flavors. The dumplings are delicious and rolling the dough is not as easy as Nick makes it look and wrapping the dumplings is very therapeutic. I'd highly recommend this experience, especially those of you interested in local food culture.

I had a great afternoon learning what goes behind these little dumplings that I love. Nick was patient and friendly, and would share interesting anecdotes about his life, experience and about living in Singapore which made it interesting even as a local. Would highly recommend this for foodies who would like to learn more about Singapore.

Nick was a great host! We first ate some of his finished dumplings with a iced sugarcane drink from one of the other hawker stalls, then got to rolling out dough, learning how to wrap the dumplings, steaming them, and then eating them. Afterwards, we checked out the neighborhood - the shop where he got his provisions, the thieves' market, and then a coffeeshop where we had iced Milo (a local Ovaltine-like drink) and kaya (coconut jam) toast that was toasted using a charcoal stove. All throughout Nick shared his experiences as a small businessman and living in Singapore. Nick is very friendly and we had a great experience!
