Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is the most unique, non-touristy experience you’ll have in Fairbanks. We’ll explore the ever-changing braided, glacial-fed Tanana River from our 90 private acres. Depending on the aurora forecast, (https://www.gi.alaska.edu/monitors/aurora-forecast) and cloud cover, this is a premium viewing area. This experience is a guided walking tour of the riverfront property, walking ON the river, and plenty of time for photographing the northern lights. If the aurora are not out, you’ll still see animal tracks, walk on a frozen river, see the stars, and enjoy Alaska’s crisp clean air. We’ll finish with warm drinks and snacks in our cozy guest house.
