Découverte d'un domaine viticole alpin

Nous vous accueillons au domaine de l'Idylle, se trouvant aux portes de Chambéry à Cruet, pour une visite de cave immersive. Un petit tour dans les vignes entourées de montagnes vous permettra déjà de comprendre l'histoire du domaine et sa façon de conduire ses vignes. La suite de la visite vous conduira dans nos chais où nous vous expliquerons les différentes étapes de vinification et d'élevage. Ensuite, vous découvrirez nos cépages locaux (Jacquère, Altesse, Persan, Mondeuse) et bien d'autres, grâce à une dégustation de notre gamme variée. Vous pourrez déguster jusqu'à 6 vins accompagné du maitre de chai ou du vigneron qui pourront vous guider tout au long de votre dégustation. Les horaires peuvent variés. We are going to: 1. Walk around a beautiful vineyard. The vineyard is located on the slopes of the last Alps foothills at 200-300 meters. There is a magnificent view of the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea and the Var Valley. 2. Learn how wine is made. I will tell you how grapes are grown and what you need to know about vineyards. We will visit a wine cellar, where I will explain in detail each stage of wine production. I will show where fermentation begins, how the grapes are pressed, and where the wine is aged. After all the detailed explanations, it will be easier for you to understand what you are drinking and why you feel these flavours. 3. Taste great wine in the XIX-century chapel. We will taste magnificent wines from one of the most exceptional and smallest appellations in France. Small vineyard, organic wine production, indigenous grape varieties, elegant wines of all colours: white, rose and red.

You’ll learn all about organic wine and “terroir”; to tell your “appellation” from your varietal; So come and enjoy some stunning scenery and the Rosé Experience where it should be enjoyed. Slow Food: Koche wie ein provenzalischer Küchenchef

Join me for a traditional Provençal cooking class at my XVII century family farmhouse. We will meet at my house at 10am. I will introduce you to this family place and talk about the history of this Mas (old farm in Provençal language) and the history of the region. Together, we will then prepare a four course meal (starter - main course - cheese - desert ) using seasonal and local ingredients. Some of them will come directly from our garden. During the class you will taste our Olive oil, homemade jams and of course local wines paired with the menu. Lunch will be prepared in my personal kitchen and will be served on a terrasse shaded by oak trees overlooking our Olive trees. We only use local and seasonal produce so the recipes will change with the seasons. Alongside Provençal recipes we also teach fusion inspired cooking, creating dishes that are inspired by local produce and spices from around the world. We will finish the class and lunch around 3pm. The farmhouse is located 45 mins from Aix en Provence and 50mins from Avignon, 45 mins from Saint Rémy de Provence, 10 minutes from the beautiful village of Lourmarin. Other things to note Please let me know in advance if you have any kind of allergies of dietery requirements. Keep in mind that this is an old building with many stairs.

If you're joining me around harvest season – typically from early to mid-September, although the exact timing can vary each year – you'll have the unique opportunity to witness this special moment in the wine calendar. You’ll soak in the atmosphere of the harvest and witness the winemaking process, gaining a unique glimpse into local wine culture. Between the two tastings, we’ll pause for a delicious picnic among the vineyards, featuring fresh local ingredients. It’s the perfect moment to relax, sip a glass of wine, and take in the peaceful beauty of the countryside. To end the day, we’ll explore the charming village of Oingt, known for its stunning views and golden-stone houses.
