Enjoy a luxurious healing retreat in Providence's historic Jewelry District. You can just stay and make your own plans or schedule private healing sessions, meditation classes, shamanic ceremony, or family therapy.
The Providence Institute for Contemplative Study and Natural Health (pi) is a 2,300 square foot urban oasis on the top floor of a historic brick factory building. Access is through secure elevator and stairs.
The bedroom is beautiful and comfortable, with huge windows with long, billowy curtains, upholstered queen bed with wool duvet in the winter and cotton gauze blanket with silk/cotton coverlet in summer and luxury sheets, and a cozy sitting area perfect for reading or watching TV. The building is mixed-use but mostly residential. It is quiet at night.

You will have two hosts, Sarah and Whitney. One of us will greet you and get you settled in, help you book appointments at the institute and show you around. After that, we're just a phone call away. Both of us are healers. Sarah is the Director of pi, master shaman, herbalist, and Buddhist teacher with 20 years of experience. She resides 45 minutes away in Little Compton, where she also hosts Air B&B guests. Whitney is a celebrated Internal Family Systems Therapist with many years of experience in individual, couples, and family work, and the Zero Balancing bodywork modality. She has been an Air B&B host for 3+ years at her own house in Providence, 10 minutes away from pi, and so has plenty of experience. We are great friends and are bringing pi to Air B&B together as a joint venture. We both love the space so much and want to see more people come to benefit from all it has to offer.
The pace of life at pi is slow. There are a few meditation classes, but generally, you'll have the place to yourselves.
The environment at pi is open and trusting. You are welcome to make yourself at home. We just ask that you treat it with care.
More specifically, the bedroom is private. All other areas of the institute need to be kept neat and clean at all times. We need the common areas to be kept tidy so the people coming to classes feel welcome, too.
If you plan to hold an event or have guests, we need you to run it by us first.
