Beschreibung

Large private guest apartment (850 sq. ft.) on premier equestrian facility in rural Sanger with pool. Mountain views from upper balcony. Has full kitchen, living room, bedroom with queen bed, connected loft with single daybed, and full bathroom. We do have a cot available for a 4th guest if needed. For safety reasons we do not allow toddlers (infants ok if not walking yet) or young children who cannot swim or who would be in danger of falling from the loft.

There is a downstairs living room, kitchen, and laundry room. Upstairs is the bedroom, bathroom and a loft on the other side of the bedroom stairs, as well as a balcony deck. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a twin daybed in the connected loft. We have a cot (s) available. There are 2 full-size leather couches (one upstairs, one downstairs) that could possible sleep kids or your ex-brother in-law if needed.
There is parking under a carport for 2 cars. If you are bringing horses we have truck/trailer parking on the ranch and stall or front pasture or mare motel space for your horses.

The apartment is completely yours -- the laundry room, however, is shared with the main house. You may park in the carport. The pool, and deck/patio/barbecue are all included with your stay. The ranch dog lives out there (she is friendly but playful with other dogs). We will provide the gate code so that you can come and go as you please. Please note that Eden is an active horse ranch so you may see people working their horses, although it is a tranquil and quiet place at night, with full view of the ranch, the neighboring farms, and the stars and night sky from the balcony. Zelda the ranch dog lives in the backyard when she's not busy helping Tess on the ranch or supervising the barn cats. She loves socializing with the Airbnb guests and she will show them her toys.

Depending on when you arrive, we can provide a tour of the ranch and tell you about many of the activities that area available in this area. If you are bringing horses we can arrange dressage or jumping lessons (pending availability of trainers). If you want complete privacy and alone time - we respect that as well! I work and do not live at the ranch and so sometimes am unable to meet guests, but my daughter Tess (she lives in the main house) and husband Jim are wonderful hosts and are here at the ranch when I am not in case you need anything.

Very quiet rural neighborhood with small family farms and ranches. Many guests come for the cycling and hiking, for the downtown Clovis antique shops, for the nearby lakes (Avocado, Shaver, Huntington, Millerton, or the Kings or San Joaquin rivers), or to explore the National Parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, or Sequoia). There are two quaint local country restaurants within 5 minutes drive where all the cowboys and farmers and travelers passing through eat. The Red Caboose Cafe and the Blossom Trail Cafe are located on Academy Avenue which is one mile east of the ranch. Neighbors Cafe is the only restaurant that is open late (til midnight) at Nees and Fowler in Clovis. We can also provide directions to a wonderful (but very inexpensive) Mexican restaurant about ten minutes away. Of course, Sanger, Clovis, and Fresno have a wide variety of fast food to high end places to eat.

We are two miles north of Highway 180, one of the main routes to Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks and also a quick route to Fresno, as it connects to Hwys 99, 168 and 41. Highway 168 to Shaver and Huntington Lakes is a few minutes north of us. We're midway between the cities of Sanger and Clovis and just east of the Fresno metropolitan area -- but the ranch is in a very tranquil rural location. For bicyclists - there are many wonderful roads and trails and a very active biking community that meets in the parking lot of the Red Caboose Cafe on most weekend mornings.

The pool is large and deep, and there is open access 5' from the apartment door, so we do not allow young children who cannot swim (and the upstairs loft adjacent to the bedroom has wide-spaced railing that a small child could squeeze through). We use natural hypoallergenic unscented laundry soap on all linens, as well as mostly natural cleaning products in the house.

No smoking or animals allowed inside the apartment. No small children. There is a pool directly outside the apartment door and the upstairs loft does not have child-proof rails, so for safety reasons we cannot accommodate young toddlers/children or those who do not swim. No parties or extra guests unless by prior approval. You must provide advance notice if you are arriving past 10 pm and read the guest guide carefully to ensure that you understand how to get in and make yourself at home without waking Tess up. Please ensure you are entering the correct door that leads into the apartment, not the main house (the apartment is the only two-story building on the property, so its hard to miss!). I will send you an info sheet a week before your arrival, so please print it out instead of just saving on your cell phone (we've had several guests who got stuck at the gate because they couldn't see the access info on their phone). We can't have pets inside - but there is a fenced yard if you have a dog that gets along well with others or would like to crate your animal. The back yard is privacy-fenced and the friendly ranch dog usually is by the back door. This is an active working ranch - not a dude ranch so if you want a tour let us know! Lessons can be arranged for experienced hunter, jumper, or dressage riders only. We do not have horses available for general riding - sorry! Our therapist mini horse named Gaby can help with most problems in exchange for a cookie or carrot.

My name is Ananda, which is a Sanskrit word for love/joy/bliss. I am a professional educational specialist employed by California Department of Education, mostly working in the field of autism, also as instructor at Fresno Pacific University. I am an equestrian, as are my son and daughter, and love eventing with my off-the-track thoroughbreds (OTTBs). I love books, spicy food, red wine, traveling to South America and Europe, and riding riding riding!
I like a clean house, with no fussy decorating.
Since I am new to Airbnb, I am developing my style of hosting. I have enjoyed staging the apartment so it presents well as guests walk in, with fresh flowers from the garden, breakfast goodies in the refrigerator, and California wines/local beers for relaxing on the balcony or in the hottub. I have generally respected my guests' privacy, unless they ask to see the ranch or the horses or want to know about this interesting rural farming/ranching community that surrounds Eden. Because we are a working ranch, there is always a a lot to see, and we enjoy showing people around and sharing what we love about the area, hiking/biking trails, or the National Parks.
