For starters, Francisco, your host, was brilliant. Friendly, kind and able to show us where everything in the apartment was. He was there for about 15 mins when we first arrived and, handily, always available to message via the Air BNB phone or tablet app.
On to the apartment! Simply superb. Bedrooms are a decent size with a sea view out of the main bedroom, but, more importantly, sliding double glazed doors that lead straight on to your massive penthouse apartment balcony. The balcony is a sun trap with a family table to sit and have breakfast or evening meals. It was lovely to have the sea breeze running through your house when it got warm. Speaking of house temperature, the whole house is covered by excellent air conditioning vents if you find the apartment that bit to hot. Your main living room is one big room that opens on to the balcony and leads in to the nice sized kitchen. Here you will find every modern appliance from a kettle to a dishwasher, blender to a washing machine within a separate laundry room. The laundry has a perfect window blowing a lovely breeze in to dry your clothes.
In and around the house you will find loads of coat hangers and towels, as well as pillows and bedding. There is a brilliant large flat screen telly and reliable and free wifi, always a god send for us modern day humans!
The house is situated on the 9th floor of a very modern building. I am disabled so the reliable lift was essential, it was reliable, unlike some apartments we have stayed at!
The apartment is placed towards the end of Playa De Gandia in a quiet, peaceful area. Because of this you find our end of the beach isn't as busy as other parts so you can enjoy the amazing award winning beaches Gandia has. There is a bus stop within 200 metres of the apartment that has buses every 15 mins to Gandia's main town and Train station for only €1.50 each way. Again this was great for somebody like me with mobility issues. There's a supermarket that will have everything you need about 200 metres away. There are also local parks, bars, cafes and restaurant. There are even bikes to hire at €11 a week if you want to get around independently.
All in all, if you want a quiet, luxury stay and with a beach view in Gandia, I wouldn't choose anywhere else to stay other than Franciscos apartment. We will be back very soon.
