The Outback Shack is the perfect home away from home during your visit to Outback Australia. Just a short stroll to the local bakery, the Birdsville Hotel & the gorgeous billabong; it is at the gateway to the Simpson Desert and is waiting for you.
The Outback Shack is a 3 bedroom home in the heart of Birdsville. Being in the middle of the desert, our guests find relief from the hot conditions in this fully air conditioned house during the summer months, and respite from the chilly desert air during the winter months. It has 1 bathroom with a separate toilet, a laundry with washing machine, and a well equipped kitchen. Although cosy, the living room also hosts the dining table, and a couch to snuggle in on those cold winter nights. Being in the heart of the Australian desert, growing plants is pretty hard out here, so the backyard is currently just bare dirt, but will slowly become a more civilised place to hang out over the coming months. It is however the perfect spot for your four legged friend to hang out without worrying that they will dig up expensive plants! Whether you have flown or driven into Birdsville, no doubt it has been a long trip so let me welcome you with a few little goodies for your first breakfast (or your late night snack). I'd love to welcome you to the Outback Shack and am sure that the warm reception and little extras will have you forgetting the sand-filled backyard before you know it!

Weitere wichtige Infos
Should you require a different bedding configuration, there is also a futon that can be made up, or I can pop a single mattress on the floor of a room if required. Please note that maximum occupancy can not exceed 6 people.
The Outback Shack is a non-smoking property. Should you wish to smoke, please do so away from doors and windows and place your smoke butts in the bin provided. As the house is in a residential area I ask that you keep noise to a minimum after dark. I really like my neighbours and would like to keep it that way.
Having a furry friend myself, I do know that it is nice to be able to bring them indoors sometimes, however please refrain from allowing them on the furniture/beds and keep them in the living/dining room when in the house. Please don't leave dogs that bark alone at night or throughout the day. I would like to keep this property pet-friendly and can only do that with the cooperation of all guests. Please take pets with you when you can, and if you do need to leave them, please ensure they always have access to clean, cool water.
**Please note that the property still accepts pets, however there is currently no front fence to the property**
