We recommend renting a car for more flexibility. All major US car rental companies are located within the airport (SJU). It is wise to rent it through the internet or by phone before you arrived.
Make sure the car has the “Auto expreso” sticker for tolls on Route 66 since the second toll is automatic and will not accept cash.
DIRECTIONS TO YUNQUE MAR
From San Juan: exit airport, take Carolina exit (onto highway 26).
Follow signs to highway/route #66. Follow route #66 East all the way to the end towards Rio Grande/Fajardo. At the end, take Road #3 East to the right towards Fajardo. Continue straight past three or four traffic lights. Follow signs to Wyndham Rio Mar Resort. Take left onto #968, follow for approximately one mile. Pass the main entrance of Wyndham Rio Mar Resort, continue on the road, turn on the next right. Go down the mountain, pass the second Rio Mar entrance, pass the golf course. Yunque Mar will be the second guard entrance to your right (immediately after Playas del Yunque). Advise the guard that you are a guest staying at Apartment 901, Bernaschina family. Pass the guard, turn left and
continue on the main parking road, parking 901 will be on the left side towards the end of the road. Additional parking number 6 is on the right hand side on the main parking road in front of the game area. The apartment will be located on the second building towards
the beach, first floor corner.

The apartment has two parking spaces labeled #901 and #6 (in front of the Park-game area).
KEYS TO THE APARTMENT
Arrangements will be made before hand. You can reach me anytime at ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) if you encounter any problems. Alternatively, you can call (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). To open the apartment use the spare key located in the lock box located next to the main door of the apartment. Combination for this lockbox will be provided to you before your arrival. This is an emergency key and should be immediately returned to the lock box after each use.
COMBINATION WILL BE PROVIDED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.
Inside the condo you will find an additional set of keys and keys to the Pool and to open the water faucet on the side of the apartment. Also there will be a beeper for the entrance gate to the condominium. Use only to enter the premises. To exit move your car close to the gate. When departing back home, please remember to leave the spare keys and
beeper inside the condo and close with the one in the lockbox.
WATER MAIN VALVE
In order to avoid pipe ruptures and flooding of the apartment we keep the main water valve closed when we leave after a weekend. Therefore when you arrive it should be in the off position.
The main valve shutoff is located in the ground, next to the main entrance to the apartment. It is marked with 901. Remove the round plastic cap to find the valve. To turn on, twist the valve to the right a few turns. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TURN IT TO THE OFF POSITION UPON YOU
DEPARTURE. Failure to check that the water is turned off may result in pipe ruptures, which will cause mayor damage to the unit, which will be charged to renters.
In the not very often case there is an interruption in water service, the unit has a 300 gallon water tank located inside the closet on the end of the balcony. In order to turn on the water supply from the tank turn right the access valve marked “Cisterna”. Again upon your departure PLEASE
MAKE SURE TO TURN IT TO THE OFF POSITION UPON YOU DEPARTURE. Failure to check that the water is turned off may result in pipe ruptures, which will cause mayor damage to the unit, which will be charged to renters.
In order to use the garden hose located on the side of the apartment you will need the special dial attached to the pool keys marked with YM 901, located in the basket in the kitchen. Please return it to the basket before leaving the apartment.
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS
There are three A/C units in the apartment, one in the dining room, next to the sliding door and one in each of the rooms. To turn on the A/C, you will need the remote controls.
The living room remote is in the kitchen’s basket. The master bedroom remote is on the top of the drawer. The second room remote is in the box with the remote controls at the living room area. Please return all remote controls to the same place where you found them. PLEASE, PLEASE, TURN OFF THE A/C UNITS BEFORE YOU CATCH THE PLANE BACK HOME!
As long as you are comfortable, please be eco-friendly and try to save energy by turning the A/C off when there is nobody in the apartment and if you are using the A/C please keep the apartment doors and windows closed.
LOCKING YOUR UNIT
The keys provide will open the main door ONLY with the top lock. DO not use the lower lock on the main door, since there are no keys for it. If locked from the inside with the lower lock, we are not responsible for locksmith charges. In order to open or close the sliding door, turn lock located in the middle. Tit only opens from the inside. The kitchen windows are closed and opened with the locks located in the middle of each window. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS ARE LEFT CLOSED UPON YOU DEPARTURE. We are not responsible for theft
of personal items left in the unit.
PATIO FURNITURE/BBQ/BEACH ACCESORIES
Please stack and store in the balcony all chairs and chaise lounges upon checkout.
The balcony awning is folded/opened using the electric control located on the wall next to the sliding door. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT IT IS RETRACTED UPON YOUR CHECKOUT.
Beach chairs, coolers and toys are located in the closet in the balcony or in the closet of the secondary bedroom. The Grill should be left with the main valve closed upon checkout. If gas runs out, you may get a refill at the convenience store on the entrance to Road #3 Colmado Richies 123. Please let me know if you replaced the tank in order to refund you the
LINENS AND TOWELS
Used bath and beach towels should be left in the bathroom bars of the bathrooms upon checkout.
Should you need additional cleaning of the unit during your stay, please contact us to we can arrange for the cleaning person to come, with at least 24 hour notice (Sundays excluded).
Additional cleaning fee is $60.00 payable directly to the cleaning person.
The Condo has wi-fi access throughout. The access password is located in a card attached to the bottom of the “Belkin” router, which is located next to the family room TV set.
If there is no major damage, the security deposit will be mailed back to you within 15 days.
The condo has a private pool, few steps from the park, behind the buildings located in the entrance of Yunque Mar. In order to access the pool, you will need the master key located in the basket at the kitchen’s counter. The key has the apartment number. If you are not at the pool,
please make sure to return the key to the basket.
If you plan to drive around the island, the best tool to have is the “Que Pasa” guide. This is a free guide that can be picked up at many tourist places including the airport. We recommend picking one up at the airport. It is an extremely useful guide even for locals! It includes all the
telephone numbers and addresses of restaurants, hotels, tours, water-sports, and places to visit. Some travel guides are available in the stack
of magazines in the apartment.
SUPERMARKETS AND SHOPPING CENTERS
When you come out of Yunque Mar, take a left. At the end of the road, make another left, pass the Wyndham Rio Mar resort entrance and you will find onto route #968 a convenient store on the right hand side corner when you reach the traffic light. On the left hand side corner there is a
Chinese fast food and a coffee/pastry place. There is also a decent restaurant on the left hand side before you reach the traffic light. If you want additional info on restaurants or nearby attractions, please call me. I will be glad to provide you with recommendations.
If you need a supermarket, exit the resort and a take a left turn onto route #968. At the traffic light, take a left (East) onto route #3 towards Luquillo/Fajardo. Several miles down the road, on the right side, there is a large supermarket “Amigo” and some fast food restaurants. If you
continue east towards Fajardo, there is a Wal-Mart and a shopping center on the right side with other restaurants.
Another alternative is if you can also turn left onto route #3 towards Rio Grande. Approximately three traffic lights to your right you will find a shopping center with an Amigo supermarket and some fast food restaurants.

Guests agrees to maintain the premises in good condition and will deliver them at the termination of this lease, broom clean, and in the same condition in which they were received.
A Security Deposit of $150.00 shall be sent by Guest to Host along with the payment of the balance of the rental rate. This security deposit shall be returned to Guest within 15 days after the Rental Period. Guest hereby agrees that Host may deduct from the Security Deposit any damages to the property, missing or broken personal property caused by Guest's negligence, missing keys/beepers, the cost of excessive cleaning required, misuse of the property, and excessive use of utilities.
Guest may use all the facilities of Yunquemar Condominium, and hereby agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the community/condominium, including but not limited to parking spaces, trash removal, excessive noise, use of common areas, ect. Also Guests agrees to abide and follow all instructions of Host as stated in the Instructions to be delivered prior to arrival.
The PREMISES shall be occupied by LESSEE as a family dwelling and for no other purpose and no more than the number of persons stated in the initial reservation may sleep in the Premises. No special events such as parties, cocktails, or the like may be held in the premises during the rental period.
Guests hereby release and discharge Host and his agents under this
contract from any and all liability for damage or injury to the person or property of Guest, his family, guests, visitors, employees and agents.
Guest agrees to indemnify and hold Host harmless from and against any
and all liability for injury or damage to any person of property resulting from any negligent act, omission or fault of Guest.
No pets shall be allowed in the premises.
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside premises.
In the event of any controversy arising out of the interpretation or enforcement of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, such controversy shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico regardless of any defenses as to forum non conveniens, which defenses are expressly waived by Guest. This contract shall be construed in accordance wit the Laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
