As a guest said, "We LOVED this place! Rustic in appearance only - in fact the beds are comfy, the hot water plentiful, the porch screened and the lounge room upstairs is lovely. Gas stove and microwave. Both the porch and lounge look across a meadow. The whole area is quiet and beautiful. We would return here without hesitation. In fact, if we're in the area again, we fully intend to! Good for couples or families. Enjoy! "
The most beautiful waterfront land in Brooksville, farmed by our own family for generations, surrounded by water and two private beaches on our organic farm, make this cabin one of the finest in the area.
Bucks Harbor Yacht Club, The Marina and Market, Farmer's market on Tuesday and Buck's the restaurant are right here. Across from Castine where the Maritime Ship and all Castine has to offer, Brooksville abounds in seasonal energy.

Lobster pots are ready for your lobsters as the kitchen is fully equipped. The peninsula is full of organic food and restaurants and art galleries are nearby. The closest airport is Bar Harbor and Bangor. Buses from Boston to Bangor.
Our farm is exactly as it has been for the past 180 years. It reminds me of life as it was before all the hassles of modern day life. The air is clear, the birds and flowers fill your eyes and ears and the water and salt air make sleeping so peaceful. The water is full of every kind of boat imaginable. Directly across from the Castine Yacht Club, the sounds of the bell buoys and the starting gun for the days race, the Like Nantucket years ago, Brooksville is held in time, a truly amazing place.

Moving to Maine, back to the family farm, has been an amazing experience as we share a rekindling for a simpler life and a more sacred existence. Our replenishing the ground to rebuild our environment as we cultivate medicinal herbs has been a reconnection to a simple and elegant purpose. Our grandchildren and grown children are our life's loves and we travel to see them all. We use Home Exchange to travel on occasion when we are not visiting our family and have been to many wonderful places. We love the cultural and creative events here in Brooksville and love to cook in as we but our food directly from our farmers so the quality challenges the best we have had in France! Naturally, a rural life is full of movies and reading and we participate in many local activities from US First robotics, teaching at the Maine Maritime , writing and working of film.
We genuinely enjoy our wonderful guests and can say they have all enriched our lives.
Our lives are full and in turn we try to stay on our path to renew this farm and have a sacred life, close to nature and the people we love.
