Light and airy, this charming cottage is perfect for travelers who need a simple, good night's rest after a day at the beach or up the mountain. With its own private entrance, and secure off-street parking, the cottage has a comfortable double bed and en suite toilet and shower. We have installed a WiFi booster so the signal is very good in the room now.
A light and airy, simply furnished bedroom with comfortable double bed and en suite shower, basin and toilet. The cottage is located in the garden of our late Victorian house that lies at the foot of Muizenberg Mountain, five minutes walk away from the beach. In a studio next to the cottage, there is a fridge and freezer, and sink with cold water tap, and a table to prepare cold food with necessary utensils. The cottage is ideal for those who'd prefer to spend their days exploring the coastline and mountain and sampling the cooking of the many excellent local restaurants and food outlets! For those late nights and early mornings there are tea and coffee making facilities, and, should you wish, we will gladly provide you with a fresh continental or English breakfast straight from the bakery for $8, but there are also lots of breakfast cafes very nearby.

We unfortunately cannot allow pets as we have two dogs and a cat. We love them, but if you prefer it, the dogs can be kept out of your way.
We want you to relax and make yourselves at home! Smoking: you may smoke outside. You can use two outdoor spaces we have in the yard and garden for entertaining, braaing (the South African word for a Barbecue). There is a room next door to use which has a fridge and freezer, sink (cold tap only) and a table to prepare cold food. We often invite our guests to join us for supper. We live in the house so anything extra you need is simple - just knock on the door and ask.
Pete and Trish have lived in Cape Town for 35 years and most happily in Muizenberg for the last three. We both work from home and, when time allows, Pete is a keen musician and Trish is an artist and wannabe ceramicist. We love our home and beautiful environment and are keen to share its pleasures with you.
