This former hop drying kiln dates back to approximately 1775 and features a working cowl that still turns with the wind.
The double bedroom is on the ground floor with an adjacent bathroom. Egyptian cotton and fluffy towels are standard.
The first floor has an open plan living/dining room with a well equipped kitchen.

Our start days are Mondays and Fridays, however, we will always try to be as flexible as possible if you’d like to start on another day, so please ask. Guests have their own private terrace and use of the shared walled garden and lawn.

We live just across the driveway, so we’ll usually be here to welcome you and show you the ropes (if you like) and then leave you to enjoy your stay. But we’re always about if you need us, whether it’s to replace a bulb or recommend a great pub.
Weitere wichtige Infos
There's access to a washing machine and tumble dryer. Please note free WiFi is available, but the signal can be a bit 'countryside' slow, and this also goes for mobile reception - it can be patchy depending on your phone/network.
The Kiln is no smoking cottage, but feel free to nip out to the terrace to smoke. We also ask that you treat the cottage and furnishings with respect, leaving everything in a good and clean condition.
If you are staying longer than a week, we will provide you with clean linen and towels, but it will be your responsibility to keep the cottage clean throughout your stay. We can organise a cleaner if required for a small additional charge.
We do not allow pets in Kiln, but have other suitable cottages - just ask.

City girl living in the country! We moved up from London to beautiful Aylton in September 2014, just before having our son, Elijah. He was a little bit more work than expected (!) so updates to our five holiday cottages have been slow, but we are getting there. We love living here, and are really excited about the cottages and welcoming guests to share this wonderful location.
