Centrally located 250 square meters loft is a perfect blend of Sicilian architecture and modern design, with all amenities and high quality finishes. Located in a historical building next to beautiful city garden, 5 min walk from the beach.
Paolo & Francesca's loft, at the ground floor of a historical building, is a renovated former granary with high ceilings and elegant arches built in 'tufo', the local traditional stone. The loft is a perfect choice for those who like large and open spaces and a blend of traditional and modern design. Uniquely located in a nice and safe neighborhood at the gate of the old town, at walking distance from the main city attractions, restaurants, bars, with free parking 400 meters away. It is also 50 meters away from the main city garden, the beach (500 meters), the ferry port (500 meters), the bus station with connection to Palermo and airport (500 meters), and the train station (300 meters).
Also, if you happen to rent this loft during the famous Easter celebration "I Misteri", you will get to be in the front row to watch the breathtaking parade!
The apartment is divided into several areas:
- three bedrooms: one large bedroom overlooking the road with a queen sized bed, an original large-scale artwork and a studio with a comfortable working desk, a second bedroom next to it with two single beds, and a third "loft" bedroom overlooking the veranda and the living room with a queen sized bed and en-suite bathroom.
Please keep in mind that the apartment is on the ground floor and that therefore some of the bedroom windows consist of full size, blocked glass doors overlooking the street.
-one very large living area, with windows looking into the internal courtyard of the building, which includes an authentic Sicilian-tiled full kitchen, a central 8 foot long XIX century dining table and a sitting /TV area with a large sofa and two armchairs.
- an interior patio covered by a glass roof, ideal for breakfast/tea break and aperitif, located right in the center of the apartment, connecting the living room and bedrooms.
- one and a half bathrooms:
one with toilet, sink and shower and one with a sink, a toilet and a washing machine and a dryer.
Each of them is provided with a separate area with sink and mirror that allows you to get ready while other guests are using the restroom. There are no bidets in the restrooms.
- a rooftop terrace perfect for lunch/dinners but also for sunbathing. The terrace is a common area of the building and you are welcome to use the table and chairs that we leave for our guests in the storage room (It is on the third floor with no elevator). Please be ready to keep the entrance door open and unlocked at all times when you are there to avoid getting locked out of the building.
- a small outdoor courtyard for hanging your clothes or parking your bikes (there is a rent a bike 50 meters away from the loft, see below for details).
We have added two single beds which can be moved around the apartment. These single beds are designed to be laying/sitting benches as well in the living room, so just let us know if you will be needing these extra sleeping beds and we will have them set up as beds.
LAST NOTE: we are renovating the interior doors so for now we have used curtains to separate one room from the other.

You are allowed to use all the apartment and access the terrace anytime of the day. Just please be respectful when using common areas. The terrace is shared by us and two other families. It is empty most of the times and you can certainly find it to be a relaxing area as long as you keep it clean and quiet.
Interaktion mit Gästen
Either I or a helper will welcome you personally at check-in and meet with you at check-out. We will guide you through the apartment and terrace and provide you with all necessary information. I speak fluently English, French, Italian, Spanish and my husband can also speak Chinese so we can surely find a way to communicate with guests, however as we travel often I might send an helper who speaks a bit of English. If needed I will be available via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), email or phone.

The apartment is quite spacious and it is possible to turn the two single beds into a queen sized bed or move one of them next to one of the queen sized beds if necessary.
Thanks to its huge walls the apartment is quite fresh in the summer - aircon unit cooling the livingroom/kithcen area as well the loft bedroom while a big metal fan is available everywhere else - and in the winter you can warm yourself up with electric heaters - one per room.
As can be seen in the pictures, there is a traditional baby crib available for guests with babies.
The apartment is at the ground floor and very easy to access (you need to climb 6 steps up and then 6 steps down). Please watch your steps on the stairs as the last two steps (made of stone) are slightly damaged at the edge and can be a bit sharp if you are barefoot.
First things first, please be aware that you will need to pay a Tourism tax imposed to all tourists in this city- The money does not go to us, but we are required to collect it at check in and to give it to city hall each term. I will communicate with you the amount via message prior to your arrival, so please make sure to bring the correct amount of cash.
Because the loft is so large, please help us keep it as clean as possible and leave it as you found it. Please only use the bed that you will be assigned by the person helping you with the Check in.. And before leaving, don't forget to put all used towels and sheets on the bed!
No smoking in all areas, including interior patios.
Pets are allowed. We love them. Just be aware to respect furniture and carpets. Because of extra cleaning, each pet pays as an additional guest.
No parties are allowed without previous agreement. Keep things respectful and calm. And of course, no illigal behavior or substances on premise.
Please be aware of check-in/check-out times:
-Check-in must be between the hours of 2 PM and 6 PM (there is a 30 euro fee if check-in is from 6 PM to 8 PM, and 40 euro fee if check-in after 8 PM.
-Check-out must be done before 10 AM.
Finally, we require that guests read the entire listing before booking! We try to be as detailed and honest as possible, and you need to do your part and read the description and house rules!
