Charming one bedroom apartment (original 2 bedroom) in a gated condominium, surrounded by beautiful woods, near the beach and the lagoon. You have the convenience and beauty of Copacabana, safely and quiet. The building is a jewel of the Art Deco style, romantic and cozy, and it's located in the beggining of the street, 5min walking from the subway.
It's a lovely place, warm and different. Here you find a quiet and peaceful place to rest in the end of a long journey! The building is surrounded by a beautiful forest, four blocks from the beach (10 minutes walking) and near Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas (10 minutes walking) which is one of the most beautiful postcards in Rio. It's located far away from the favelas, in a very safe street! :D
If you like hiking, you can walk to the charming neighborhood of Ipanema through the beach or through the lagoon. Look at the map to see how close is it from Ipanema. ;) And if you think you'll be far from the Copacabana trade, you are wrong: you just have to walk 2 blocs to get there!
The apartment is graceful, all refurbished. You have a beautiful view of the trees in all the rooms! The bedroom has a new double bed with bagged springs mattress, very comfortable, with air conditioning and ceiling fan.
After the refurbishment, the second bedroom was integrated with the living room, and that made the apartment more spacious and airy. Besides that, there is a screen to separate the living room and turn it back into a bedroom, offering privacy in case there are 4 people in the apartment. This second living room / bedroom has a double sofa bed and fan, as well as a very charming balcony with hammock.
The proximity of the woods makes this apartment more fresh than any other in the city (and it's important in a very hot city, where you get easily to 40º celsius).
The TV has the basic package of network channels and wireless Internet. The TV can be placed in any room as there are access points for the pay-TV in both rooms.
The kitchen has a new fridge and has a deco-style. Incidentally, the condominium is one of the few jewelry déco-style in Copacabana, built in 1936 and renovated in 2013.
The living room has a chipandelle style dresser, extendable to the four-seater table. It is a very charming antique furniture.
The high point of the apartment is the service area as it faces the beautiful forest. Having breakfast or a wine there is super nice. The trees are beautiful, with lots of birds.
Once you have this abundant vegetation behind the building, you can do a small hiking during the morning or in the end of the day, if you want. And - you won't believe it- , but there is a cable car linking the two condominium buildings. My apartment is in the first building but it is worth taking the cable car to get to know the recreation area behind the second building, to relax after the intense day of sightseeing and have a picnic. The place is really amazing!!! :D
This place is unique in Copacabana!

You will be close to the subway (Cantagalo Station) and to several bus stops. You can walk to the beach and walk on Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
If you like hiking, it is possible to walk to the charming neighborhood of Ipanema. My favorite beach is in this neighborhood and it's called Arpoador beach. It's a 20-30 minutes stroll. You can also take the subway to get there (you'll be tehre in 5min). Arpoador Beach has the most beautiful view of the Rio sunset in my opinion. It is common for everyone to clap their hands when the sun starts diving in the sea.
The Santa Leocádia Street is a slope, but the building is located before the slope. The condominium is very safe, has 24 hour doorman and several security cameras.
The building has an elevator, but you a flight of stairs to access it.
Copacabana Beach - 10 min walking
Arpoador / Ipanema Beach - 25 min walking / 5 min by bus/subway
Christ the Redeemer - 10 min by taxi / uber (35 min by bus)
