We had a lovely time at Yoko’s house ! It is a beautifully renovated old traditional Japanese house. We had a spacious room with futon mattresses but also a double bed. Yoko cooked a wonderful meal for us. It was delicious ! Highly recommended ! She also cooked a delicious breakfast !! The house is in the countryside about 20mn drive from the station. The sceneries around the house are stunning ! Yoko came to pick us up at the station (we are a family of 4 – kids age 7 and 10) and dropped us back the next morning. She and her husband helped us to rent some bikes, so we could visit the area. We went to Oka-dera temple and loved it – it is beautiful with hardly no tourist. We were glad we rented some electric bikes though as there are some steep hills !! Yoko was a wonderful host. Such a lovely lady ! It was a great cultural experience ! If you want an authentic experience in the countryside, don’t hesitate to stay with Yoko ! Thank you so much Yoko and family !

The farmhouse is located at Asuka village mountain so driving a car is recommended. The car GPS found the place easily so it's convenience for us. The farmhouse is a beautiful 200 years old house and it looks better than the pictures! It's clean and spacious. Yoko and her husband made the dinner for us. We were sitting together for the meal and talking about travelling. It's a very good chat. Her husband made us Bbq wild boar meat we ordered. It's very delicious! They made you feel like home! The bathroom and toilet are separate but both clean and good to use. Yoko speaks excellent English and we had enjoyed the time in her farmhouse. We will go back next time, this is a very good experience for our trip!

We had some fantastic days staying with Yoko and her sweet family in their beautiful house. The area was incredible and the cherry trees started blooming just as we were there. We'll definitely come back some day :-)
