Der Wohnraum

Nestled in the hills of the Northeast Kingdom, Camp Wapanacki was founded as a summer camp in 1938. Established as a camp for blind children, and later run by the Girl Scouts, Camp Wapanacki is being reborn as a four-season retreat.

Zugang für Gäste

Camp Wapanacki is comprised of 250 acres of woodland, plus a 25 acre private lake for swimming and non-motorized boats. There are miles of trails to explore, perfect for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, and hiking and biking in the summer.

We love Wapanacki and the Scout Cabin! It was gorgeous inside and SO clean. The fireplace/furnace kept us cozy at night and we sat outside on the porch during the day to enjoy the fresh VT air. We only stayed for 2 nights but I wish we had stayed for a whole week :) Andrew and Cat were so friendly and accommodating. The cabin has everything you could need! Wifi is spotty but they said it's stronger at the building next door, we never checked because who needs wifi when you're surrounded by fall in Vermont?

This place is a gem. You could stay on property for your entire stay. I wish I had spent more time on the lake and hiking the trails.

Andrew made us feel welcome from the jump. He helped us carry up our stuff to the cabin and made sure we had everything we needed. The place looked better in person than in the photos, super clean and beautifully furnished. This place was a perfect get-away for my friends and I and we look forward to coming back!

This was a great experience. David was a super host. The property is amazing. Totally unique. Saw lots of wild life, the views were great. Calling are accommodations a cottage really does not do it justice. It was magnificent. Andrew and David are slowly rehabbing the property. It will be something truly fantastic. I would highly recommend.

This place is the best kept secret in The Northeast Kingdom. The Scout Cabin we stayed in was refurbished to perfection. Beautiful woodwork throughout, as well as, ALL the amenities you need for comfort! Camp Wapanacki has a rich history that the owners are preserving which makes it that much more appealing. The 25 acre lake is absolutely perfect for kayaking, canoeing, fishing or just floating on a raft. My wife, Zachariah (our Labrador) & I walked the extensive trails on the 200 acres. We loved the trail signs that are still there from the Girl Scouts. Ivan greeted us when we arrived to show us our accomadations and gave us a tour and the history of the Camp. My wife & I were blown away by the Serenity of this Tucked Away coming back to life Camp. Andrew & Dave keep up the great work. Cheryl & I can't wait to see your other preservations that are underway at Wapanacki. We'll see you next year!! All the Best, Danny
