Our apartment is located on the first floor of a 19th century building near where once stood the medieval walls. Situated in Vitória, one of the most beautiful and traditional neighbourhoods of Porto, classified by UNESCO as "World Heritage Site" is an ideal base to explore all the places of the town.
It can accommodate two guests in a comfortable double bed and two extra guests in a sofa bed. It is perfect for couples (straight/gay/lesbian friendly) who want to enjoy romantic days in Porto, solo travellers who want to experience the town as a local, businessmen/women who are tired of staying in hotels, families with one or two kids and close friends who are looking for a cosy and private place to stay.
Decorated in a vintage style, it has everything you need to feel at home.
The apartment is accessed by a stairway (there is no elevator in the building) leading into a quiet and cosy sitting room with a comfortable sofa-bed (120x200cm).
The kitchen / dinning room is fully equipped and contains an electric stove and oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Basic cooking ingredients, such as salt, spices or olive oil are provided. You'll find also coffee, tea and sugar. There is a table for four and plenty of storage space.
The bedroom contains a comfortable double bed (140x200cm), a desk, a chest of drawers and a closet area. Clean sheets, pillows and comforter are provided. From the bedroom balcony, guests can enjoy the sun and the beautiful views over the narrow street and its old buildings.
The bathroom is equipped with a full bathtub and you'll find basic toiletries such has shower gel and shampoo. Clean hand and body towels are provided and changed every week.
Iron, ironing board and hair dryer are also available. Guests can use the washing machine free of charge. Free wi-fi Internet is provided.
Rua dos Caldeireiros is a peaceful residential street with a few non-tourist stores and a lively community of neighbours, where it is still possible to experience the true rhythms of the old town.
Within walking distance of some of the most valuable and oldest monuments and unique places of Porto, like Ribeira, Sé, Miragaia, Cedofeita, Santa Catarina/Bolhão or even cross the river to visit the port wine cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. The immediate area has delightful streets, squares, gardens and buildings. Just around the corner there are shops, grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. The nearest supermarket is located less then 3 minutes of distance. Also nearby is the Galerias de Paris area where you can find the trendiest bars and clubs.
Less than five minutes separate the flat from the São Bento metro and train station, directly connected to the airport and nearby attractions, like the Minho region and the Douro Valley.
