Beautiful, quiet, top-floor, two room flat and terrace in the center of Gijón on a rejuvenated main street with lots of bars, cafés and restaurants. We are located two blocks from the main beach. The flat has views of the sea and historic city.
The newly renovated flat has an open concept fully-equipped kitchen and living-room, two bedrooms with double beds (one bed can be kept as single, or pulled out to make a king-sized bed), and in the living-room there is a very comfortable sofa that can be converted easily into a king-sized bed, as well. The bathroom offers a rain-head shower as well as a bath to relax in. There is heating and air-conditioning that can be used in the flat. A washing-machine is also available in the kitchen. There is a large terrace space that is wonderful to spend time on, enjoying the views of the city, sea and the old historic center on the hill.

I am a journalist, anthropologist living and working as an English Teacher in Gijón, Asturias, Spain with my Mancunian, English fiancé.
I love to travel, meet people, learn new languages, and especially try new foods and then learn how to cook them. I love photography and reading books--although I find that I never have enough time to read the books I want.
Five things I can´t live without:
- A camera while traveling
- Learning new things
- Good food
I have lived in the US, Japan and Spain and hope to be able to move and work and travel as much as possible around the world before I get too old to enjoy it any more.
I am a very personable person, I enjoy meeting and talking with people while I travel. I like to learn local customs and find out local histories. I think Airbnb is a good way to travel around the world, meet people and stay in cool places.
My life motto is to take advantage of every opportunity.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and am very rusty with my Japanese.
Looking forward to meeting you!
