Constructed in 1799, our home has many guest rooms: this listing is for the Green Room. All reservations include a hot, homemade breakfast made from local ingredients and NO CLEANING FEES!
The Green Room is on the Northeast corner of the 2nd floor. It has a queen bed and a private, ensuite bathroom. We have a pack-N-play, toddler bed, or cot available if needed.

Marion, MA rests on Buzzard's Bay's western, mainland shore. Marion has one of the best harbors in New England. The other side of the bay is Cape Cod. We boast the same weather, sun, sailing, beaches, tourism and shopping as the Cape, but you won't get stuck in traffic getting here! We are easily accessible by Route 6 and Interstate 195. Tabor Academy is less than a mile away; New Bedford is 13 miles; the Cape Cod Canal is 14 miles, Providence, RI is 40 miles; Boston is 58 miles.
Smoking is allowed only outside, at least 25 feet from any entrance to the house. If you need it, we can provide a small grill filled with sand for cigarette disposal. The house is one of the oldest houses in Marion, and voices do carry through the plaster and lathe walls; therefore, we ask that quiet hours begin around 10:30pm. Please treat our home as you would you own.
Kate grew up in nearby Mattapoisett, MA and moved back to the Southcoast in June 2015. She loves sailing, horseback riding, hiking, and traveling. The other residents of Silvershell Inn include, 2 dogs (Foster & Greta), 2 horses (Duncan & Tonto), and 2 goats (Bingley and Darcy).
