A get away in a rural area on the edge of the Snowden Nation Park. Completely off the beaten track.
The house is situated approximately nine miles south of Caernarfon, in the village of Tai'n Lon standing close by the landmark 13th century St Beunos Church near the village of Clynnog Fawr. The immediate area is designated as one of outstanding natural beauty, with abudent wildlife, breathtaking mountain views dropping away to sandy beaches and rocky coves. You will enjoy views of the Eifl Mountains (the Rivals), Caernarfon Bay, the foothills of Snowdonia and, to the north, Ynys Mon (the Isle of Anglesey). Your home is ideally situated for exploring the magic of North Wales' historic castles, sites of ancient mystery and legendary beaches, coves and the spectacular scenery of the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey, with endless opportunities for hiking and walking, myriad challenging golf courses and, of course, the wonders of Snowdonia.
A great base from which to explore this part of North Wales. Caernarfon, Criccieth and Penrhyn Castles are all within 30 minutes, steeped in Celtic history and heritage and a stronghold of the Welsh language. The island of Anglesey is within easy reach (25 miles) and well worth a visit. Beaumeris being one of my favourite stops for ice cream, fish and chips and stunning scenery!
A place to relax and enjoy the countryside and beautiful nearby beaches of Dinas Dinlle and Nefyn.

Public transport is about 2 miles on the a499.
Both families with children, couples or groups have enjoyed staying with us.
Pwllheli is probably the nearest market town, 10 miles away. A busy market town (Wednesdays) with art galleries and popular sailing and watersports centre. See the wildlife, seabirds and dolphins - on costal cruises. An excellent leisure centre to keep the kids entertained, along with activity-packed Glasfyn Parc.
From the front door you can take one of the footpaths, or you coud take the Loneifion cycle track, along the disused railway line to Caerarfon.
We hope to here from you soon.
