I would not recommend staying with this host. The room itself is not bad, however the experience there was total BS for the following reasons.
-At check in, I was asked details about my booking as there are many hosts within the one apartment block, so they didn't know which room i had even booked. Very poor management, and we were basically thrown into the room quickly with just the key. The actual host turned up at 10 pm and knocked on our door to ask if he could help, WTF.
-The room had no kettle, no cups, no towels. We had to call the host to request he bring a kettle so we could have a cup of tea. There was a hot water machine about 100 m from the room, very inconvenient. When the host turned up with the kettle, he then came back with his phone and iPad and came into the room, shut the door and started suggesting places i could go to take photos, again WTF.
- The room is basically right in the middle of the night market, above all the shops. Every night there was some terrible off key singer performing about 20 m away. So if you are looking for peace and quiet between 6 and 9 pm, you will have to go elsewhere.
If you paid the same price to stay in a hotel, you would get a lot better value and service than here, I did not feel comfortable with the experience here. The room per se was fine, had wifi, tv, couch, decent shower, no bad smell. But at the end of a busy trip in Taiwan, it was pretty uncomfortable considering the other things I have mentioned.
