Nearby attractions are Oval Beach (on Lake Michigan), Dunes State Park. Local ice cream stand/dune rides 5 minute walk! No smoking or pets.
Saugatuck Michigan is consistently rated among the top small town summer vacation getaways in the USA. For a family vacation in Saugatuck or a get away from it all for couples this accommodation is a tremendous value. (The nightly price is comparable to a single room for two in a BNB.) The cabin is ideal for one or two families, for intergenerational family vacations or for couples seeking to get away from it all. It is located on a dead end street with minimal traffic, which is ideal if kids are outside playing or for a game of catch. As can be seen from the photos, you will enjoy your vacation in a free standing cedar cabin. Although located in a wooded, rustic setting, it has all of the modern conveniences, including fully equipped kitchen, heat and air conditioning, washer and dryer, cable TV and wi-fi. The community pool (open May-September) is literally a few steps away. Access to Lake Goshorn is a pleasant short walk on the board walk. There is a dock for accessing a boat or for tubing, but no beach. Two kayaks are available for enjoyment on Lake Goshorn. A real wood burning natural stone fireplace is in the living room. The cabin is located in a condominium complex of 29 similar cabins. There is a community fire pit with a supply of fire wood. Almost all of the cabins are rented to guests, and so you will be enjoying your stay with other vacationers. There is a pedestrian and bike path into the Town of Saugatuck, with stops along the way for ice cream and dune rides. World famous Oval Beach is a short car ride. Douglas Michigan with its restaurants and galleries is just past Saugatuck. Other vacation areas to the north (Holland and Grand Haven) and to the South (South Haven, etc) are within easy reach. We love your pets and respect your liberty but please no pets and no smoking. Note a supplemental guest registration form is required to be submitted before check in to verify identity and to confirm compliance with rental and condominium association rules. The full house, parking for two vehicles, and the condominium common areas (pool (May - September), dock at lake and community fire pit) are available for your vacation pleasure. The house is equipped with high definition cable TV and high speed wi fi. The house has central air and heat. There are also two ceiling fans. The first floor of the house includes a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, coffee maker (coffee supplied), hot water heater, oven/stove, refrigerator/freezer (automatic ice maker and filtered water), dishwasher, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, cooking tools) dining area (table seats 8), family room with real stone fireplace and wide screen TV, two bedrooms, one full bath (tub and shower), front porch with chairs, bench and hammock and rear screened porch (unfurnished) . The washer and dryer are located in
the laundry room on the first floor: no coins needed! Outside behind the back porch is a propane gas grill. (If the grill runs out of gas please replace at the local gas station on Blue Star Highway near the I-196 interchange) and I will reimburse you.) Please make sure to turn off the gas and to cover the grill!
The second floor includes a master bedroom suite with full bath (oversize tub and separate shower), two sinks, and mini TV. The second floor also features a loft with game table (or if you must, work table) and four chairs.
The number of guests can be no greater than 8 ("guests" are age 2 and over) and of course depends on the sleeping arrangements as there is a total of 5 beds (two queen and three twin) plus a queen sleeper couch. If your group's sleeping arrangements requires more than the number of available beds, there is room to sack out in the loft if you bring a sleeping bag or air mattress.
Although suitable for children, parental supervision is required and expected and the house is not "child proofed."

For additional vehicles there is a car pool lot just west of I-196 on Blue Star Highway. Parking on the grass or along the street violates condominium association rules (and it is not an excuse if you see others violating the paring rules.)
There is a guest book containing many menus of local restaurants; for the benefit of other guests please do not take the menus.
There is a tray stocked with brochures describing local attractions. Please feel free to use and replenish brochures.
To conserve energy the AC is turned off between guest visits, so if the home is warm when you arrive simply turn on the AC and it will quickly call. Similarly in the winter, turn the heat up and the home will quickly warm.
Even on warm summer days consider not using the AC: open the front and rear doors, turn on the ceiling fans and enjoy the cross ventilation.

RESPONSIBILITY OF RENTER: The person whose name is on the reservation is required to stay at the property for the duration of the stay, and accepts full responsibility for the actions of all persons on the premises during the stay. Failure to honor this requirement will result in a loss of your security deposit & eviction without refund.
MINIMUM RENTER AGE: By signing this agreement, you are affirming that the person whose name is on the reservation is at least 30 years of age. This is non-negotiable, and could result in forfeiture of your security deposit,
and eviction from property with no refund.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT: The damage deposit is subject to the applicable rules of the internet booking service the guest uses to book the accommodation (e.g., Airbnb, Home Away, etc.). Guest is responsible for any and all damages or rules violations above and beyond the damage deposit.
PROTECT YOUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT: Upon your departure the property is inspected and prepared for the next guest. Please be sure to return furnishings and home accessories to their original location, have all dishes & bath towels washed, clean the grill (and turn off the gas), turn off all lights, turn off TV, and dispose of trash in the provided containers located at the entry way to Kingfisher Cove.
OCCUPANCY: Properties may only be used by 8 persons (a person is anyone age 2 and older) or as other specified on your confirmation. Identify of persons in group must be disclosed to us at the time you make your reservation and may require an additional deposit, or could result in the loss of your security deposit.

PARKING: Parking is available for two vehicles only within the driveway in front of the cabin. No parking is permitted on or alongside any road or on the grass at any time. Violators are subject to being towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. If you have more cars than will fit in the driveway, let us know in advance and we will help you find over flow parking off-site. NO BOATS, TRAILERS OR RV’s permitted.
CHECK-IN: The cabin is prepared for your arrival by 4:00PM on your arrival day, but sometimes, especially in the off peak season, this is flexible. If you would like to get in earlier, please give us a call so we can attempt to ensure that the cabin is ready.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is 11:00AM and we are unable to offer any exceptions. Please respect this rule -- we need to prepare the property for the next guest.If unforeseen circumstances prevent you from checking out at the time indicated, please call us so that we might pass along the information to our maintenance crew. Late check-outs will be charged $100.00 for each hour after your appointed check out time, to be taken from your security deposit.
There is a renter’s check-out check list located in the laundry room on the dryer. Please complete the short list of items prior to your departure, such as closing & locking all windows, washing dirty towels, taking trash to the dumpster, etc.. Then please lock the door behind you as you leave.
TELEPHONES: The accommodation does not include a phone.
REPAIRS: Every effort is made to keep appliances, etc. in good repair and working properly. Should maintenance be necessary, we will attempt required repairs as soon as possible after being notified of the problem. We cannot guarantee air conditioners, televisions or other appliances. Although we do not guarantee refunds in this case, please note that we are more than willing to work with you for compensation in the unlikely event that an appliance malfunctions and diminishes your enjoyment of your vacation.
HOUSEKEEPING: Prior to your arrival, your accommodations are cleaned and set up with fresh bed linens, bath towels, paper products, hand soap and some cleaning supplies. We have on-site laundry facilities. Please maintain the property in a clean and sanitary condition at all times. Additional housekeeping services can be arranged for an additional fee and should be requested a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
PETS: We understand pets can be considered part of the family, as we do ours. However, due to allergies and our Homeowners Association agreements, we must enforce a strict NO PETS policy. Violators are subject to eviction without refund and forfeiture of their security deposit together with additional damages.
SMOKING: As noted, we respect your personal liberty but smoking is prohibited. Smokers are advised to rent another accommodation. Failure to honor this request will result in the loss of your security deposit plus additional damages.
BUNK BEDS: For safety reasons, the top bunks on the bunk beds are for use by children 8 years of age and older or adults. Please supervise your children.
RIGHT OF ENTRY: While it is unusual and unlikely, authorized agents may need to enter the property for the purpose of inspection, maintenance, or to complete requested repairs. Our best efforts will be made to prevent any inconvenience or disruption of your vacation.
RESPONSIBILITY: Prices, property and other specifications are subject to change without notice. In the unlikely event that the cabin becomes unavailable or uninhabitable due to circumstances beyond our control, a refund may be offered. The property owner shall be held harmless and be indemnified from any claim, loss, expense, damage or injury resulting from guest’s use or occupancy of the property. We will not assume responsibility for loss, delay, inconvenience or expense caused by weather, strike or other circumstances beyond our control.
