I feel very honored of being the longest staying guest in Pilgrim House. In here my family spent a very pleasant 7-day holiday. The house was very convenient and has everything you could imagine. It was extremely clean as Sharon really make effort to manage it. Sharon made various yummy &healthy breakfast for us every morning. She even got up at 4am making sandwiches and coffee for us to catch up the early flight on our return day. And Brian picked us up at 7am on our arrival day, and drove for 3-hour round trip as we missed the bus to 우도. Both of Brian and Sharon are very kind and repectable persons. We love them and definitely will come back in future.

Lily is the guest who stayed the longest at Jeju Pilgrim House. She came here with her husband Jeff, and her four-year-old daughter Jenny. Jeff & Lily are really good parents to Jenny. They were always kind to Jenny, and waited for her. It was raining throughout the entire trip except two days before they left. But Lily and her family always started a tour with plenty of time, and after having a nice trip, they returned home. She used tourist information in various ways. Lily was surprised at the breakfast served on the table, and took pictures. She had breakfast deliciously with a thankful heart. The place Lily and her family stayed was always kept clean and tidy. And so I was grateful to her all the time. A bunch of bananas, a gift for us, is still on the empty table which Lily left. Lily sent me a message that she and her family reached Shenzhen well. She is a warm-hearted person. Lily is the awaited guest who we expect will come again.

Sharon and Brian are the most friendly, helpful and gracious hosts I've encountered! Even on the day of my arrival they had organised to meet me at the bus stop but because I missed it, I met them at the home instead. It was lovely to receive their big warm smiles right from the beginning! Throughout my stay, they provided abundant suggestions and recommendations for places to see and do, gave me detailed instructions on how to get around including bus timetables, and also made sure I was always well fed! Sharon's homemade breakfasts were delicious and she made sure to pack me snacks and foods each morning too. I was treated like family during the whole stay and would recommend their home to anyone travelling around Jeju. On the last day, Brian even sent me off to the airport. I'll definitely return next time I visit Jejudo again!!

Seraph! Before I met her, I wondered who Seraph was. She made a reservation immediately at Jeju Pilgrim House without a question. When I met her, I asked her how she could book without a question. Seraph said only reviews were enough. I was thankful to her for that. And I hoped the result would come up to her expectations. Seraph is brave enough to travel alone. She loves Korea. Her Korean skills by self-study are something of a surprise. She can read and write Korean, not to speak of speaking Korean. And there are some pen pals in Korea. Seraph already took a trip to Gwangju, and came to Jeju. And then she will visit Busan, Daegu, and Seoul. During the stay at Jeju Pilgrim House, Seraph mostly stayed in the living room except for sleeping. She stayed comfortably as if in her house. She got the travel information, and made travel plans at the living room table. She already bought a travel book on Korea in Australia. Taking turns reading travel guides on Jeju at Jeju Pilgrim House, she made the next day's travel schedule meticulously. Seraph was also good at managing time and schedule. Her colorful pens, stickers, stationery were amazing. She loves nature and taking pictures. I can never forget how much Seraph loved the travel on the second day, looking together at the pictures of the visiting place. On the third day, she was afraid of riding a scooter in U-do travel. But she cheerfully told us that she enjoyed traveling in U-do by scooter. And so we were cheerful. Returning to the house, she bought a few kinds of bread for us as a gift. The bread was really delicious. On the fourth day, she got back from seeing Jusangjeolli, O'Sulloc Tea Museum, the sunset at Hyeopjae Beach. She really had a good time. There was a gift of cookies, hand-made soap, and snacks(made in Australia) on the kitchen island table in the house. That made us feel her warm heart. Seraph had many experiences in travel, so she knew how to travel. If we travel next time, we will make use of what we learned from Seraph. Many thanks for Seraph during her stay, such as turning off the lights, washing a cup clean after drinking tea, keeping clean and tidy at the check-out time. Her parting words were so touching. "I really thank you for becoming my Korean Mom and Dad. When I come again to Jeju-Island, shall I live with you?" And then she never forgot to say "Be sure to come to Brisbane in Australia." We can never forget Seraph. How will we forget a warm-hearted loving lady like Seraph?

Faith & Kathy! There was not much time for us to share together with Faith & Kathy. It was because their friend living in Jeju city took them around Jeju Island. In the night before Faith & Kathy left, we had a small party and talked about many things. I hope Faith & Kathy will visit my house again someday, and that there will be much time to share together. Faith & Kathy believed us and had confidence in us. Thank you for that. Faith also trusted and followed me when I advised her to take medicine for an occasional cough, when I boiled ginger and gave it to her, and when I gave warm water. I asked Faith & Kathy where was the best place that they ever visited in Jeju Island. They said Hello Kitty Island was. They were naive girls. After returning to China, they will be busy for work, or for study. I wish a trip to Jeju Island brought new lifeblood to Faith & Kathy. They hoped we would visit China. They are really thankful and warm-hearted friends. Given the opportunity, we want to go to China and meet Faith & Kathy. Before they left, they gave a gift bag to us. It was candies and many kinds of snacks. It is touching that they prepared the gift while remembering us. Though we shared together for a short time during their stay four nights and five days, Faith & Kathy are never-to-be-forgotten guests.

Thank you so much Sharon and Brian!! We truly appreciate your attentive hospitality and kindness throughout our stay! Without your thoughtfulness and help, our first night and perhaps the rest of our trip could've been an upsetting experience. xoxo FIRSTLY, my sister and I want to mention that Sharon and Brian work hard to keep their bnb in tip top shape. When we saw their listed house rules and pictures we really believed that this bnb was promising for our short stay. After staying here we can say we love it and CONFIRM the pictures are accurate. Read on to get a better glimpse! I messaged Sharon to confirm some details and was met with a fast and helpful response :)) *Anecdote time* Our first night in Jeju couldn't be booked with Sharon due to the previous reservations so we ended up booking a guesthouse (which was clean, convenient and nice as well). We arrived at the car rental place later that first night.. and ended up needing a "hotel" confirmation phone number for our stay so we used Sharon's (since we are staying there for the rest of our trip) AND GUESS WHAT?! She answered such a late call!* THANK YOU for that* then wisely told the man to set us up with the English navigation sys. *We were too tired from travel to think straight, truly, Thank you!* We went on our way searching for the first place which was bit confusing since we had to look for it late in the night in a timely manner. THEN bam I got a FOLLOW-UP message from SHARON to make sure we knew where were going. She gave us the correct address and Brian even came all the way out onto the big intersection to wave us down... then both showed us to the guesthouse ( literally 1 minute drive away). Even though they joked about their "Konglish" they continuously gave us useful suggestions and insights for our itinerary. Brian always gets up early to see us out safely. They also treated us to dinner and dessert one night, because they knew we needed it after a long day. You are wonderful hosts; thank you again and again. + Sharon honors the spirit of BedNBreakfast by providing a CLEAN, ORGANIZED, AND STOCKED living space, including, making BREAKFAST. Yay! (even if prepping us fresh breakfast meant her getting up at 330a.m. so that we're on schedule). + Their building is only about 5 years old meaning well kept floors and walls and doors; their home furnished ADORABLY with coordinating white furniture. (as seen in pictures) THEY EVEN HAVE GUIDE BOOKS or brochures OF JEJU to help with enhance itineraries.

Liz & Nat! Liz & Nat came to Seoul and then to Jeju in Korea for travel. They are unforgettable guests. Liz wanted me to adjust the stay date of four nights and five days(the first day- from the 17th August to 16th August). But, I could not adjust the date because of another guest's previous booking. I suggested to her that she will stay at a guesthouse near Jeju Pilgrim House on the 16th, and at Jeju Pilgrim House on the 17th. Liz and Nat willingly accepted inconvenience of changing lodgings, and stayed at Jeju Pilgrim House from the 17th. They wanted to come here that much. I was really thankful for it, and it was a little burdensome to me. Why did they want to come to Jeju Pilgrim House in particular? We had much talk over dinner on the first day, and felt a sense of intimacy with Liz & Nat. Liz, the elder sister, was considerate and calm. Nat, the younger sister, is very bright and cheerful. They were strong-willed sisters. They started from the house to see the sunrise of Seongsan at 4:30 a.m. They started from the house at 5:30 a.m. to take a kayak on Soesokkak(mysterious puddle where the wind brushes past). They got up so early and got ready for going kayaking as they planned on the previous day. They could keep control of themselves enough not to impact tomorrow's schedule due to the excessive desire to travel. Nat watched Korean TV dramas and memorized the scripts to travel Korea from two weeks before she left. She learned Korean language for two weeks before she came to Korea. Nat has an excellent sense of language. I want to learn her endeavor and passion. She tried to eat unfamiliar Korean food, such as seasoned vegetables, lettuce wrapped vegetable and so on. Liz liked sundae(a kind of Korean sausage), tripe and Korean soybean paste stew. She had Korean soybean paste stew in the morning she left, appreciating it. We talked about many things as if old friends while together. During their stay, the places where Liz & Nat stayed, such as living table, kitchen and bathroom and so on, were always kept clean and tidy just as it had been before. This evening I will become prettier with a mask pack, Liz's gift for the host. Perhaps I looked a little prettier, moved by Liz's consideration. I am grateful to Liz & Nat. I never forget them. I'm already missing Liz & Nat.

The house is so good and Sharon and Brian are also enthusiastic and lovely! Because this is my first time go to another country with my friends. Our English and Korea language not very well so they help us many many many. We have a good time in Jeju and rather have a good time in the house! This is my first time use Airbnb and it was a wonderful choice to choose this house! Thank you!

Zichang(CC) & PP! CC & PP were very pure girls 19 years old. Our meeting started with hugs. From the moment that they entered the house, CC & PP were encouraging enough to say "wonderful (URL HIDDEN) & PP were at a loss what to do after having left a gift for a host in a taxi. They prepared a gift for the host they never met. It impressed me. CC listened seriously when I let her know Jeju tour information. She was cautious and calm for fear of the passport stamp (URL HIDDEN) & PP knew that it would never be a problem after my checking at the Immigration Office. Also, they were very thankful for (URL HIDDEN) & PP didn't forget to give thanks for the served meal, saying "예쁘다(beautiful)" in Korean. They are really kind (URL HIDDEN) & PP started early in the morning for the tour of Jungmun. To my surprise, they had good sense of answering in Korean under unexpected circumstances. During their stay at Jeju Pilgrim House, we laughed a lot and talked (URL HIDDEN) & PP thanked for a very small party the night before they left. Even CC was moved to tears, and eventually all of us cried. They rewarded me with great joy in spite of my small support. Tears welled up in CC's eyes before saying goodbye. Bryan and Sharon are lovely hosts with a very clean and beautiful home. They welcomed us warmly and were so very kind to us throughout our stay. We had several difficulties and problems on our trip (NOT related to our accommodation), and they assisted us in every way possible...even giving us some rides and helping us wash out our belongings that had been flooded at the beach and were wet and sandy. They provided lovely meals (the dining area has a great view of Hallasan on clear days), a nice private bathroom, and great conversation. They went out of their way to help us plan our days and researched transportation for us. The home is a little outside of Jeju City proper to the south in a nice, secluded woodsy area. It's on a handy bus line to easily get back into the city, down to Seogwipo, or to a number of beaches. On our last morning, they gave us a mini birthday/farewell party and drove us to the airport...way beyond our expectations! If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place as the hub of your Jeju stay and want to meet some lovely new friends, we recommend staying with Bryan and Sharon!

Amy & Beka! I learned a lot from Amy & Beka. "I LEARNED FEELING RELAXED." Amy & Beka reached Jeju over a long time later after their airplane flew back to Busan because of an accident at Jeju Airport. Despite hunger and fatigue, Amy couple felt relaxed. Beka, Amy's husband, was never upset though he did not enjoy water skiing in Seogwipo. They came back late on the day before they left. But they went to bed after they finished preparing to leave. "I LEARNED FRUGALITY." Amy is pregnant and expecting in October. Nevertheless, she used buses in most cases wherever she went. She did not hesitate to take a walk in spite of pregnancy. "I LEARNED CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS." Amy offered Beka his favorite water skiing as his coming birthday gift. Also, Amy & Beka needed more matrix, so I tried to hand mine. They refused, but received in hearing it was the extra. They were thankful for breakfast in Jeju Pilgrim House. They had the kindness to ask hosts if they had breakfast. Amy always thought whether the food she ate was good for her baby. "I LEARNED HOW TO ENJOY LIFE." Amy & Beka were amused, delighted, and grateful wherever they went. When I hugged Amy good-bye, her warm heart and love was expressed to me. Amy will be a mother in October. She is going to be a really good mother. From today, I pray for Amy's safe delivery.

Oh my goodness. I could go on forever about how much I loved staying with Sharon and Brian. Firstly, let me say how amazing our overall stay was. From the location to the space to the hosts, it was above and beyond what we could have imagined. Their description on the page is quite accurate, and I don't think my words could justify the experience we had staying with Sharon and Brian. I know this sounds like I'm going overboard (so it must be too goo to be true), but I'm really not. Once you book them and stay you will get that this is not an exaggeration. My friend Esther and I found this place while searching for a new place to stay (the first place we booked was a nightmare). So we went online and searched only Super Hosts and found Sharon and Brian's place, which (Thank God!) was available. They helped us find a way to their home, despite our GPS having been switched back to Korean so that we didn't know how to use it. When we got to their home it was like experiencing a touch of heaven. We felt so welcomed and relaxed. Throughout our stay we felt like princesses. Sharon made us such delicious meals. Brian and Sharon both helped us to plan out the few days we had in Jeju to the fullest. We especially loved our conversations with them at the end of the day. It felt like staying with family. I highly recommend this airBnB. It is truly amazing. Thank you so much Sharon and Brian. We truly miss you both and are so grateful to God to have met and stayed with you. I hope to be able to go to Jeju again and stay again. God bless! - Mia Sharon and Brian were the major reason why Jeju Island was a healing and incredible trip. We have had many airbnb hosts, but no one compares to Sharon and Brian. They were the best hosts that both my friend and I have ever had. They felt like family after the first five minutes of meeting them. They are incredibly kind-hearted, giving, and genuinely eager to make sure you have the best experience in Jeju Island. They were very knowledgeable about Jeju and gave us great recommendations of sites that would be most memorable. We appreciated their input since there is so much to see in Jeju. They have great travel guides and resources at their home that you can borrow as well! Another aspect we appreciated was that they love to hear your life story and how you came to visit Korea. We all shared stories with one another and shared laughter and tears. Their home was an absolute gem. It is in Jeju city, located near the airport (around 10-15 minutes), but their neighborhood is very quiet. It is walking distance to a main road, so bus transportation is accessible. - Esther

Kristianna & Esther! Kristianna & Esther are second-generation Korean Americans. One is an elementary school teacher and the other a medical student. They visited the motherland during their vacation. They came to Jeju after Seoul and Busan. Kristianna drove here in a rental car with wonderful skill. Kristianna & Esther gave off a friendly impression when I first met them. They left for Hyeopjae Beach to view the sunset just after the check-in. They were amused at the beauty of the sunset. Kristianna & Esther came back early not to delay the departure for Seongsan Ilchulbong(Sunrise Peak). They knew how to use moderation. Kristianna & Esther are very warm-hearted and loving. On the second day, they sent pictures in a nice pose by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Talk(global mobile instant messenger) when they reached Seongsan Ilchulbong. Also, they sent a breakfast picture with a message of thanks. On the third day, they made soap in O'Sulloc Tea Museum and gave it to us as a gift. It was a wonderful gift, elaborately patterned on a piece of cake. On the second day evening, talking together we were grateful to them for trusting us and opening their minds. They let it out that they spent a hard time in America and deeply wanted healing while touring in Korea. I was surprised to see the guest book in Jeju Pilgrim House on the morning of the day they left. They wrote a message full of gratitude and warmth with their utmost sincerity in English and Korean. And what's more, they posted the pictures taken in beautiful travel sites in Jeju on the book. It was really moving. They slept very late because of talking with us together. We thank them for having written on the guest book with all their heart and soul. The room Kristianna & Esther stayed was always kept clean and tidy just as it had been before. Even the laundry was well folded. They are filled with consideration and love. We can never forget Kristianna & Esther. It was such a blessing to us to meet Kristianna & Esther. We hope they also enjoy the trip in Seoul and Gyeongju.

We are a very nice and friendly married couple that moved from Seoul to Jeju. Both my husband and I worked as teachers before moving out to Jeju. We offer our house to foreigners so that we can share our Korean culture while also learning about yours. We prefer to have guests who are open and friendly. We love speaking with our guests and getting to know them, and we love feeding them yummy food. Please keep that in mind when considering our place. We look forward to meeting you!
