We had acted on the issue immediately as you had also mentioned, by sending a worker to the studio. Likewise, we had explained to you then that it was not mould but moisture, which seeps through the concrete, brought about by the unusual weather pattern of rain, sun & humidity which Hongkong had been experiencing lately. This was also the reason why the paint had stayed wet after the repaint job had been carried out. We were utterly disappointed that despite the goodwill and hospitality we had extended to you, that you had the temerity to give us such a poor rating, basing it & citing the building as the setback. May we respectfully remind you that the building is not our property nor we have any power to maintain it as we only have jurisdiction within the parameters of our studio. The main reason why we are able to offer such a low rate despite the amenities superb & service you enjoyed , aside from our dedication to hospitality is the old building where the studio is situated on. Funnily enough, there was no mention of the early check in request which we had willingly granted you, given it was a last minute notice, nor the free coffee and snacks plus the two boxes of French chocolates which we had sent over to you as a gift when the worker came to do the paint job. Perhaps it is best that you review the Airbnb message thread from start to finish to refresh your memory and may awaken a bit of gratitude & appreciation on your part. Unfortunately, all our combined efforts and dedication to goodwill & hospitality were all lost on you. We suggest that to get a fair perspective as a traveler, when paying low budget to not set the expectations too high so there are no misplaced & unmet expectations and ultimately, you do not waste the efforts of everyone who works hard in the spirit of good hospitality.
