Enjoy the amenities of home in our large home on 2 acres on the gorgeous Oregon Coast, near the trendy towns of Manzanita and Nehalem. We live upstairs, and the downstairs is dedicated entirely for AirBnB guests with its own separate entrance (shared among guests).
Each of the 3 bedrooms is individually appointed with a locking door for privacy and security. The rest of the downstairs is shared with the other AirBnB guests and consists of a large common area with kitchenette, dining area, seating area, laundry room, massage chair and full bathroom.
Your bedroom has a Queen bed with a memory foam mattress and a large walk-in closet for extra space.
The common areas are shared among the AirBnB guests like a nice hostel, but kept separate from our residence upstairs. Guests have a locking space of their own and a separate guest entryway.
The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, coffee/tea bar, electric kettle, mini-fridge, water dispenser, and cups/dishes/silverware, but there is no oven, stove, dishwasher, nor sink. There is a bin for dirty dishes and I clean the dishes upstairs once a day.
For rainy days, we have a books and games shelf for enjoying while here, a traveler's book exchange shelf, and a massage chair.
For sunny days, guests also have access to outdoor seating areas for drinking in the beautiful view, 3 disc golf baskets for practice, and the large front yard for lawn games.
We also have a garage and a workshop on the property. We use the workshop for our home business making leather goods and bicycle accessories (called Walnut Studiolo).
We are a bike-friendly household! We have bike mechanic tools and a bicycle work station for cyclist guests to use upon request, and books about bicycling in the area to borrow in the common area.
Zugang für Gäste
The downstairs has its own separate entrance at ground level so you can come and go when you please.
Bikey guests are welcome to bring their rides inside, or lock in our garage.
Interaktion mit Gästen
I can interact with guests as much or as little as you want, but the space is set up for privacy. I love to travel and meet locals, and AirBnB is one of my favorite ways. I've enjoyed being an AirBnB guest around the world, including in Iceland, Vietnam, France, Canada, and the USA since 2011.
Now I'm excited to pay it back as a host. As a traveler myself, I totally get it, whether you want alone time or you'd like some conversation. I'm happy to help if you want local recommendations, but equally happy to respect your space for private time.

Hi there! I love to travel and meet locals, and AirBnB is one of my favorite ways. I've enjoyed being an AirBnB guest around the world, including in Iceland, Vietnam, France, Canada, and the USA since 2011.
Now I am excited to pay it back as a host since we have moved to our dream home on the gorgeous Oregon Coast. We live in a large home with several spare bedrooms near the woods, ocean, and river. It's too great of a place not to share with my fellow travelers.
I've been a lifetime traveler (as an Air Force brat), so I've set up the downstairs to be private for guests, yet communal like a hostel. The downstairs has its own private entrance. Each bedroom is individually appointed with a locking door for privacy and security. The rest of the downstairs consists of a large common area with kitchenette, dining table, seating area, laundry room and full bathroom. The common areas are shared among the AirBnB guests like a nice hostel, but separate from our residence upstairs for privacy.
I'm happy to help if you want local recommendations or good conversation, but equally happy to respect your space if you'd like quiet time.
My husband Geoff and I run a small e-commerce business in the workshop building next to our home called Walnut Studiolo. We make and sell and leather bicycle accessories and more. Running an e-commerce business gives me more flexibility in travel and a global perspective.
