'Fintry' is a lovely, relaxing home with views across a peaceful valley, yet only a 10 minute walk into the centre of the small, pretty city of Truro. Truro is ideal for exploring Cornwall as it is roughly equal distance from both coasts.
‘Fintry’ is situated in a peaceful location, on the periphery of Truro, adjacent to woods and overlooking a lovely valley, yet it is an easy 10 minute walk into the city and a 5 minute walk from the railway station. It is a house especially suited to families with older children, due to its location. Whilst retaining some of its 70s characteristics, the house also features a good-sized garden with a lawn suitable for games of badminton, croquet or volleyball. The living room houses a projector and screen for cosy ‘cinema nights’ by the wood burner, whilst the dining room table can double-up for games of table tennis (kit included). Breakfast can be taken on the balcony, overlooking the valley, and the south-facing front garden, with its barbeque area and large lawn, makes it a great place to relax and play games during the day and into the evening.
Zugang für Gäste
The main part of the house and garden is for full guests' use. The annexe is occupied by a young, quiet medic, who is completely self-contained (may only need to share use of washing machine and tumble dryer).

We will normally be available to meet and greet our guests on arrival but on other occasions will make individual arrangements.
As 'Fintry' is our family home, we ask for guests to treat it with respect and replace any breakages and make good any damages. We also ask for consideration to be given to our lodger (eg privacy and noise levels). Unfortunately we can't allow pets and smoking is prohibited in all parts of the house.
I am a Truro-born woman who has lived and worked in London and Manchester, but returned to Cornwall in 2003 with my husband (Andrew) to bring up our young boys. We both work locally and whilst one of our sons has left home to study, our youngest is about to embark on his 6th form years. We love our home, as it is peaceful, comfortable and private but with great access into the city. This summer we have decided to share it with others, while we take on some new adventures of our own. We look forward to meeting you!
