Claudia was a friendly and helpful host, she explained us how to get to the main attractions. The stay has been nice, the Bed was very comfortable with a large bedspread. The Room was cozy with own access to a small terrace and one amazing view to Barcelona. The area is pleasant and quiet, situated on a hill, the bus stop is near or you walked to the next Metro Station about 10-15 minutes. Claudia has a very lovely & nice dog names Puncho.

Gracias por todo Claudia y Pep, sois geniales. El té, la botella de agua, los jabones y champú y el cepillo de dientes en el baño.

Would probably not stay here if you are with a family like I was, but it would be good for a few younger friends. The main things are, it would be a lot better if the bathroom was close to you but its downstairs. Didn't really use the kitchen because again it's downstairs and there were a lot of rules we didn't want to break. Also, we opened the patio door because it was hot and got mosquito bites.

The view is absolutely spectacular from this apartment and we enjoyed our first day there walking to the mirador lookout point over the city and on to the Parque Guell. The apartment is sunny and clean and has a private balcony. We spent quite a bit of time and money on transportation to the downtown areas. The bed was missing a sheet (there was a box sheet but no top layer sheet) and the bedspread was very thick for the climate. We saw no fan or AC in the room for ventilation so tried to sleep with the window open and no cover. I woke frequently with mosquito bites. The bathroom of the apartment is down the hall and 15 stair steps downstairs. I wake at night to go to the bathroom and would not have reserved knowing this; it really disrupted my sleep. Claudia herself was welcoming and nice at arrival. A couple days before arrival Claudia told us that she had to leave the house at 5pm on our arrival day and had no one else to receive us. We had planned to spend the day in Madrid and arrive by train at 7:30pm but instead had to cancel our train ticket and arrive to fit Claudia's schedule. We ended up having spending twice as much on train tickets in order to arrive on time and from there taking the taxi instead of the bus, also racing to arrive (this equated to about 230usd extra expense for us). We are hosts of 12 properties on airbnb and we think it is important for the host to make arrangements to meet arrivals at a time that is convenient for the guests trying to relax and enjoy a vacation. Anytime between 2-8pm is reasonable for arrival times in my opinion and as hosts ourselves we always go out of our way to meet guests at any time day or night. The apartment's price seemed pretty reasonable when looking online for places. I think we however spent more money on transport than we had expected (5-10 euros for multiple bus tickets one way into town attractions or 30 euros for taxis one-way to and from the location and downtown, not to mention the time of transport and waiting for the bus or taxi. At night we even had trouble catching a cab). Barcelona's attractions are quiet spread out throughout town so you might expect to spend a bit on transport no matter where you stay, although I think the price would have been less if we had stayed closer to downtown. We really enjoyed the neighborhoods Raval, Gothic and Borne. We also enjoyed our very first night in which we were able to actually walk to one of the attractions we wanted to visit. I honestly did not sleep well at all and recommend the host remember to place a top sheet on the bed, maybe a lighter bedspread and a simple fan or working AC. I also think that this...

Took some time to reach Claudia's home from the airport using public transport- approximately 2 hours. The view is awesome and the room is cosy with a good bed. The house is in the suburbs with only one supermarket and the one bar at the nearby bus stop. Breakfast is not included. Bathroom is downstairs so could be tricky if you need a bathroom close by.
