I am renting my beautiful craftsmen house in Highland Park, historic neighborhood in Los Angeles.
The house is filled with art, books, vintage furniture and original details from 1915. It's clean and well maintained.
There are two bedrooms, master bedroom with queen size bed and guest room with single bed and nice mattress.
The sofa in the living room unfolds into the bed which can comfortably sleep one person or two very cosy, small ones! :)
Bedding, towels provided.
One bathroom, it's clean and has a lot of charm, the shower head in the tub is new and works really well.
The house has a central air and heat.
There are 2 cats on the property and they live indoor and outdoor; they are very friendly and sweet! Have to be a cat person to stay here and be ok to feed them ones a day please! They will keep you company and keep you amused. They are very low mainlanders, they go in and out the cat door, so there is no littler box, they do their business outside!
The house is on the hill, tucked away on the very quiet street.
If you are an early bird, you can watch sunrise over the hills from the porch; if not there is a beautiful garden on the back, terraced into many areas where you can enjoy Cali weather any time!
The neighborhood is up and coming, hip, artsy and very convenient. There are great new bars and restaurants opening up all the time; neighborhood coffee shops, cosy restaurants, book stores and galleries close by. We even have our own art walk every second Saturday of every month which is a lot of fun!
The neighboring neighborhoods are South Pasadena and Eagle Rock.
You can walk to Golden Line Metro, drive to Down Town LA, Pasadena or Silver Lake in 10 min.
The highway 110, 134 and 2 are just minutes away.
If you have any questions, just ask. I have been living in LA for 20 years and know it very well. I like recommending unique places to try and visit.
I have lived all over LA and working in film industry, there are not many places we haven't covered! I have made a list of my favorite places around the neighborhood, so I would be happy to share it with you.
I take a lot of pride in my home and worked really hard to make it comfortable. I like meeting people from all different walks of life and hosting individuals who have a respect and appreciation for the space with the individual touch.
Looking forward to hear form you!
Try not to walk in the house with shoes on, specially high hills or boots, please take them off outside, you can leave them on the porch or take them inside.
There is a made who comes ones in two weeks on Tuesday, one cleaning is included in the price, if you staying longer then 2 weeks there is an additional price for the cleaning $50.00
The kitchen is simple, but has everything you need, if you want to cook, please use wooden spoons not to scratch my pots. Please be careful with food going down the drain when you do dishes, it's a historic house and it would be a shame to have a plumbing problems. There is a garbage disposal, but please try to put left over in the trash, not in the drain, I appreciate it!
There is a wood floor in the bathroom, so please be carefull not to get it wet, put down the towel on the floor (its hanging on the tub) before you get in the tub to take a shower, make sure to close the the shower curtain not to get splashes of water on the floor and towel yourself before you get out of the tub. It's sounds complicated, but it's not that hard, really! :)
No smoking inside.
