Our home is quiet, a good place for a retreat, a writer's getaway, or home base for exploring all of Cape Cod. We are a multi-cultural family who enjoys sharing the beauty of Cape Cod, and hosting visitors of all nationalities from around the world. All are welcome!
Walk from Deep Cove Cottage along a winding country lane and down Old Shawme Road past the new Adventure Park with ZIP LINE, and 100 acres of gardens at Heritage Museum, one mile to The Sandwich Glass Museum, and National Historic Districts of Sandwich Village, Jarvesville, and Glasstown. Our house is on half a wooded acre across from a pond for neighborhood use. We've lived in Hawaii; Manhattan; Los Angeles and Pasadena, California; Washington, DC; and Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, but love living here the most. We like to travel together, and have been to Asia, Russia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America, and have spent long visits with family members living in Mozambique, Guatemala, and Peru. Anne is a Bostonian, a writer/editor/poet. For several years she ran a literary venue at The Grange Hall in Sandwich, presenting poets and short plays by local playwrights. Steve is originally from San Diego, has had a long career as a telecommunications executive, and now consults on growing businesses in a broadband economy. Their favorite things to share are film, theater, architecture, and art - in abundance on the Cape, and will share where and what is happening culturally, as well as suggestions for day trips, walking trails, and dining and more throughout the Cape. Books on the natural history/history of the area fill guest room bookshelves. We give our guests privacy, but can offer suggestions out of our knowledge of Cape Cod. We bike and kayak and can provide bike trail and kayaking locations.
