Welcome to our 1946 Spartan Manor.
The oldest of our fleet of vintage caravans she is a 1940's time capsule complete with a cocktail cabinet and many other vintage touches.
Popular for mini-moons and romantic getaways she's a caravan made for two.
**NEWSFLASH! Vintage Vacations Airstreams win the Best Place to go Glamping in the My Isle of Wight awards for the second year running!**
Our 23 feet 1946 Spartan Manor is a rare collectors item. We resisted putting in a sofa bed to make it four berth and chose two vintage armchairs instead. The caravan has a proper double bedroom, a kitchen and a spacious (for a caravan!) living and dining area.
Our vans are curated with love and our guests comment on our attention to detail … Vintage Vacations is our full time job.
On board facilities include;
Regular sized cooker and medium sized fridge (fridge has small icebox freezer)
All bedding linen and towels and tea towel are supplied
Services – water, gas and electricity* via regular caravan hook-ups (of course, we have Gas safety certificates etc for all trailers) *110 voltage - we will give you travel plugs for your phone etc
A full complement of equipment (including teapots and cafetieres) – you don’t need to bring anything – just ask if there is something specific you would like to check.
Entertainment – Radios / CD players on board along with a selection of vintage board games
Your own outdoor picnic bench with parasol and two deck chairs as well as a BBQ and log burner (logs sold on site)
GENERAL INFORMATION – what to expect from our classic American caravans
Heating – electrical fan heaters – trailers are well insulated and heat up well but do bring warm PJ’s and your slippers for cold weather
Bathroom facilities – Hot water showers and a bathroom sink – toilets are not on trailers – we have a toilet facility on site (separate ladies and gents with extra showers)
Electrical supply is 110V with American plug sockets. All appliances are American (including hairdryers) and we will supply you with a travel plug for your phone, laptop etc. Some items cannot be used directly – Hair straighteners for example but don’t worry – we can sort alternative power supply solutions for these if necessary.

We are hugely proud that our site is exclusive to Vintage Vacations – only classic Airstreams, vintage caravans and our own retro tents. No other beige caravans and tatty tents to spoil the view.
Tucked away on a small working farm, our spacious, grassy field is in a peaceful, pretty spot with views over to Brading Downs.

Along with my husband Frazer we own and curate a field full of vintage Airstream caravans and other truly unique places to stay on the Isle of Wight - an Island just off the South Coast of England.
Vintage Vacations is our full time job and we have been doing it now for twelve seasons - we can't quite believe that as it all started with just one silver caravan …. previously we worked in the photographic industry as a photographer and stylist (that's me) but we took the plunge to change direction and have no regrets :-)
On our downtime we like to travel all over the world … usually in a lo-fi fashion as we do like to have adventures! We try and gather inspiration and hosting ideas from our travelling that we can use to improve what we have created here.
We really enjoy meeting our guests and fellow wanderlust-ers and look forward to helping you have a fun and memorable stay. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about our places to stay or the Isle of Wight in general - we're happy to help.
