It would be nice to be able to avoid guests like Kylee. 1) Four other guests of ours left reviews for this facility who didn't feel there was an issue with the resort and units. In fact, their reviews are glowing even thiugh we properly disclose the beach has limited to no direct access due to NATURAL erosion in this area ... 2) Embassy hasn't owned this facility in over 20 years, and it has been wonderfully upgraded since then. IMHO it would be nice if they painted the exterior something other than coral/pink, yet this has no bearing on the modern interiors of the units. 3) It is unfortunate weather impacted the Lanai during your visit, but if a huricance destroyed the building ... is that a proper reason to give us a bad review? I strongly feel the answer is NO. 4) I'm sorry, but claiming the interior 12 story open courtyard interior is unsafe for children is the same as saying ANY Lanai balcony railing on the 12th floor is unsafe because it is high up ... I understand you are a mother and you are protecting your children, but please stop giving poor reviews for units which by their nature (ocean view unit not on the ground floor) have potential risks for children. This is like giving a poor review because the unused outlets do not have child safety covers on them - yes, it would be safer but the vast majority of places do not have this. 5) It understand how Kylee can say this resort is old and run down. The entire pool area was refurbished last year whil we were there March 2018, and the fitness room was torn down and rebuilt. DRI has aggressively refurbished units for over ten years. ...Kylee did notify us when the weather damaged the Lanai, and confirmed she contacted the on site maintenance. We apologize that maintenance was not able to repair the damage immediately ... how long does it take you to order replacement parts and schedule a repair?
