We do appreciate the feedback—thank you for taking time to share a review. I do wish that some of these concerns had been communicated when I messaged to ask how things were going after check-in. The response I received was "We are checked in and well. Thanks!" That led me to believe all was good! While we wouldn't have been able to remedy all of the issues, there are some things we absolutely would have tried to take care of for you (any excess dust, for example). I'm sorry we didn't get the chance to do that.
As for the cat hair, there was a cat that lived in the unit years ago, but with different furniture in the unit. We've never had anyone mention having allergy issues in the apartment before due to pet hair/dander or anything else. I'd recommend that anyone in a similar situation ask prospective hosts in advance of booking if there was ever a cat in the apartment due to very sensitive allergies... because, like us, a host may not think to share this info if it's been years since a pet has been in the building.
