Beschreibung

Welcome to Paradise Shores! We're glad you found us, and we believe you will be glad you did too. Here at Paradise Shores, we believe in reconnecting people to the simple pleasures of life in a no-frills, peaceful, camp like setting.

We're a husband & wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir.

We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses.

When you arrive we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. Regarding your pets, we love them all, though some dogs we love more than others. Your pups will be part of our family, but they must conduct themselves accordingly. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.

It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a rental trailer as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lay in one of our hammocks and read for three days. For the more adventurous we offer a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, campfires & s'mores. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead.

We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.

We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in a remote wilderness settings.

THE TRAILER:
While spending couple months in Baja during the winter of 2013, we fell in love with the Mexican culture, art and hospitality. We wanted to share this experience with our guests at Paradise Shores. So, we transformed the former Cascade trailer into Baja-themed trailer. Make sure to bring some tequila to truly soak in the atmosphere!

Our Baja camper is comfortable, fun, and offers great views of the lake and the mountains. Even though this trailer doesn't have any slide outs, it's still pretty spacious. It is ideal for a couple, but can sleep 3 adults. The sleeping options consist of queen size bedroom and a pull out couch located in the living room/kitchen. Free WiFi internet, TV with a DVD player, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster are all provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. You’ll also find there a breakfast selection, including coffee, creamers, oatmeal, yogurt, and a variety of breakfast bars. Sheets, towels, and dish towels are ready for you. So, all you really need to bring is some clothing and food. Pretty much everything else is covered. And if there is anything else that you need, we have a store on promises that carries most convenience items.

The trailer also has a cooling system, and an outside area with outdoor furniture and an awning, as well as the fireplace and barbecue for you to use. We also provide one day’s supply of firewood, kindling and charcoal briquettes.

Our rates are all inclusive (space rent, propane, wifi, etc. are all included).

2016 Drought Update
Paradise Shores is located on the Bridgeport Reservoir and we cannot control nor guarantee the lakes level. If camping inches from a lake is vital to your experience, we suggest emailing us to determine current heights.

Additionally, all our guests have access to the entire camp. You are welcome to use our various common areas with fireplaces and barbeques. Our laundry room, wifi internet, and immaculate restrooms are available for your use. We have two kayaks your can use for free on the reservoir and two stand up paddle boards that can be rented for a nominal fee. Your dog is welcome to play at our dog beach. Probably to your pup disliking, you can use our dog wash to clean him up after a fun time at the beach.

We’re very knowledgeable about this area, and we enjoy sharing this beautiful place with our guests.

Our park is located 2 miles from the historic town of Bridgeport. Bridgeport is an old mining town a cute little town with couple restaurants, sporting store, gift shops, bakery etc.

You will need a car to get around this area.

Taxes, like death, are unavoidable. Our prices INCLUDE 12% Transit Occupancy Tax (TOT) which is one of the only ways the local county gets any income. It goes to good use like schools, roads and such. This tax is mandatory by the county for everyone staying for less then 30 days. You can find more info here… (URL HIDDEN) If you're staying in Mono County, you will have to pay this tax, unless your AirBnB host does not collect or pay TOT, which is illegal.

Please keep in mind that some of the mountain passes - Tioga Road (main road to Yosemite – HWY 120), Sonora Pass (HWY 108), and Monitor Pass (HWY 89) don’t open until late April/May sometimes even June depending on snow year. Plan accordingly. Also, some of these mountain passes that take you to our park can be closed during stormy weather. This is especially true in the spring and fall.

In regards to the pets, please respect our trailers. We don’t charge a pet fee, so no animals on the furniture. Let us know about your dog prior to booking.

Hello there!

We're Alan, Veronika and Oliver: husband, wife and son team, who would love to share our home with you. We love the Eastern Sierras and are eager to introduce this wonderful place to other people. Our camp is conveniently situated close to many High Sierra attractions. This area is one of the most spectacular in the world and offers exceptional recreational activities. We are fortunate to be located on Bridgeport Reservoir, Ca. with its world famous fishing and water sports. The blue ribbon trout fishing of the East Walker River is just minutes away. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono, June, Convict and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from our camp. Please note that we welcome guests from late April till mid-October.

Water skiing, sailing, mountain biking, road biking, hiking, and of course fishing, are all readily available right from the property. For the more adventurous, there's rock climbing, hiking, snowmobiling and year-round skiing in the back-country. The possibilities are endless. Yosemite National Park, which occupies less than 10% of the Sierra Mountain Range, is only a small fraction of the adventures this spectacular area affords. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is on a major bird migration route.

Did we mention the world-class trout fishing? We are the closest lodging to the famous East Walker River, not to mention the trophy fishery right here at the lake. Additionally, numerous other lakes, rivers and creeks are only a short drive away. People come from around the world to stay with us and fish this unique area.

The fish are plentiful here at Paradise Shores, the people are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is casual. So bring the whole family; with so many things to do, everyone is sure to have a memorable time. Please message us if you have any questions or would like more information.
