Our rustic Mountain Cabin is nestled among wild apple trees near the highest point on our farm. It is surrounded by nature and at times, our dairy cows. There is a kitchen space with a four burner stove, a sink with cold water and a comfy loft for sleeping - with a king size bed! It is a simple space for nature lovers and one of our recent guest described it best as a combination between "glam-camping" and "tiny house living".

The house sits up the road from the main farmstead. Tyler and Melanie are around most all of the time and happy to provide a farm tour as well as suggestions for scenic, shopping and gastro adventures from Burlington to Montreal or Stowe to the Eastern Townships in Quebec.

The mountain cabin is a cold water cabin. There is a sink with running water for dishes. We always supply a gallon of drinking water when you arrive and are happy to show guests where they can fill up with more water. Around the back of the cabin is a composting toilet. The toilet sits on an open air platform with a roof. At the moment there is no shower, but the spring-fed pond on the property is perfect for a refreshing dip.
There is a farm road that you can drive up towards to the cabin. In dry weather the road will take you most all the way to the cabin and in wet or muddy weather you may want to park in our bale yard and walk up to the cabin, about 300 yards.
There is a small wood stove in the cabin that is the only heat source during the cooler months of the year. We provide the wood that you need to stay warm. Please only book during the colder months if you are comfortable using a wood stove.
One more thing to note - since you are staying on a working farm its always a good idea to bring closed toe shoes with you, in case there is mud or tall grass or in case the cows recently grazed around the cabin.

Melanie and Tyler are organic dairy and grass-fed beef farmers. We have two children, three dogs and one barn cat, not to mention almost 100 cows. We steward close to 400 acres of land, rotationally grazing our dairy, beef cows and heifers. Melanie is an avid photographer and artist. Tyler is an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing. We both have unique connections to the land and surrounding areas.
