Michael's flat is quite spacious, aside from the bedroom which is a tight fit for the bed, and in a good location. We very easily took a bus or subway into town. Our stay was not without difficulties though as we received an email the night before our arrival explaining that there was construction in the adjacent flat that had resulted in a hole in the wall of the apartment. We received another email a few hours later explaining that damage had also been done to the bathroom of Michael's flat and that people would be in to repair it during our stay and that we wouldn't be able to use the shower for 24hours upon our arrival. This was all quite concerning, since we were hoping for a relaxing holiday in Copenhagen and we're concerned about noise coming from the construction (nevermind the no shower thing!)....The email ended with "I hope it all works out!", which only added to our concern. (In the end, when we expressed concern about the shower, Michael postponed the construction but wanted to reschedule for a time that we might be out of the apartment....). We were also given incorrect instructions regarding where to pick up the key. It was only through good fortune that we were able to find the neighbour on the street, walking her dog, as the address and name given were wrong. Overall, the impression was that Michael is very laid-back as mentioned in his profile but that this can result in problems for the guest. Other examples: the apartment had not been cleaned before our arrival (there was an old razor and scrunched up washcloth in the shower, food in the sink, crumbs on the counter). Laundry was mentioned in the description of the flat but the key to the laundry room was not provided, we had to rely on the neighbour again, and after our stay, we were told that laundry is not usually included, even though it was mentioned. Overall, once we got around some of the difficulties, we had a good stay. If the host were to treat it more like a business (hire a cleaner to come in, be more accurate with instructions, take the whole thing more seriously, etc ), this flat could be a really fantastic place to stay in Copenhagen.

We spent a few days at Michael's lovely flat. The place was exactly as described, better than on the pictures actually. Everything is very functional and enjoyable: plenty of kitchen utensils to cook, everything needed for breakfast, quite a big shower for Copenhagen, a small balcony, a nice living room that makes you feel like you're home. Communication with Michael was really easy, and his sister was there when we arrived, she took the time to explain everything and to give us some tips about the city which makes you feel very welcome! The location is really convenient, quiet neighbourhood with everything you need. Plus you are only 10 min from the airport through the subway, and 5 min from the city centre. We actually walked there often, it's approximately 20/25min. I would definitely recommend this place; this city is great and staying there will make it even better!
