Great location! A little smaller than I imagined with the pictures but there are mirrors everywhere that helped it to feel more open. The wifi didn't work, which was a big draw back and the owners didn't try to fix it (even though the message I got said they could fix it quickly by logging into their account online. That their account needed immediate attention- maybe they forgot to pay their bill?)
Honestly I felt like they just blew me off. (Not cool)
So the customer service was sub-par as far as other AirBNB places I've stayed before. But the beds were nice- memory foam. And it was great waking up to see the ocean. One bedroom has an ocean view, the other doesn't. There was a basket of toys from the 80's that we all enjoyed (had a 1 year old with us). It was like a blast from the past. There's a 4 lane highway between the front of the condo and the ocean. The closest crosswalk is on 69th street (about 9 blocks down) or you can play frogger and walk across in front of the condo. (which we did) LOL The beach was clean, lots of shells!!! We drove down to Jamaica Beach- no shells and the water was red flagged there (unsafe). Ours was yellow. Got to take a couple of strolls on the beach at night too. (Which was on the bucket list for this trip.) Never met the owners, which is fine but it lacked the personal touch. The kitchen was stocked with cooking ware but no cooking supplies like spices, oils, coffee, foil, zip locks, etc. so make sure you bring your own. There was a gas grill for use in the pool area. We grilled some nice steaks on there. Small pool area but clean and pretty. The staff at the front desk was wonderful! Very friendly! I'd stay at the same group of condos (By The Sea Condominiums) but I'd prefer to stay with another owner.
