Conveniently located to Fremont, Queen Anne, Ballard, and Seattle Pacific University this basement studio with private bathroom is ideal for travelers looking to stay in a unique and vibrant Seattle neighborhood. Young children are on site, so guests looking to sleep-in late might not be best served at our home. Our most satisfied guests are adventurous, and like to get out and explore the various sites of the city.
Located in the downstairs of a townhouse within a 5-10 minute walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and bus stops, the guest bedroom, bathroom, and hallway are completely separate from the main floors of our home . The unit has ground-level access through the garage door. At night, the space is very quiet from road noise as it is set back away from the main street.
Aside from the standard amenities, the unit will have a mini-fridge, Roku stick (to use with your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. accounts), an air purifier, and fan. Heaters are available in the cooler months, but the unit stays a fairly comfortable temperature in both summer and winter. Unfortunately, there is no air-conditioner.
Zugang für Gäste
24 hours before arrival, guests will be e-mailed the code to the garage door, which will serve as the entrance to the unit. Guests can come and go at any hour of the day through the garage door, without a worry about bothering us.
Interaktion mit Gästen
We pretty much leave our guests to themselves, unless they initiate. There is no need to check in or check out in person, as the garage can be opened or closed with the code given prior to check-in.
Weitere wichtige Infos
We are a working family with childcare present during the weekdays for our 2 year old and newborn sons. Because we work and have a young child we usually are heading to bed between 9 and 10pm (our son in bed a couple hours earlier) and are usually up and about during the weekdays by 7am. However, our bedrooms are all on the 3rd floor, so at night there is a 1 floor buffer for sound, which is beneficial for us and our guests alike. During the day when our toddler is awake, he can be quite rambunctious, and the sound travels quite easily downstairs. Our home is kid-friendly, and we have a pack 'n play available upon request.
Nothing outside the ordinary rules one would expect from an AirBnB guesthouse. No parties, no pets, no drugs of any kind, no unapproved guests. Adhering to the City of Seattle's quiet hours (10pm - 6am) is also a must, since the unit is in a residential neighborhood.
Hi there - I'm a high school chemistry teacher and new father living in the Fremont/Queen Anne area of Seattle. My travel partner is almost always my wife, Lindsay, and we usually take a couple trips a year. We are both pet friendly, so cats and dogs are welcomed by us anywhere we go. A perfect day for us would be to take a walk through a small town, sit and have coffee together, and see some of the unique sites and landmarks in the area.
We're not hardcore outdoorsy people, nor late night club hoppers, so you don't have to worry about us tracking in mud or bringing sketchy people near your residence. Safety always comes first when we travel. Feel free to inquire about anything you'd like.
