Beschreibung

There are two bedrooms, one with a bathroom attached, and there is another bathroom down the hall a few steps from the other. The living room has a bay window which catches tons of sunlight. Short walk to the lake, train, and food & drinks.

Third floor walkup of a four story building with businesses on first floor. Two bedrooms, each with queen beds and their own full bathroom. One bathroom is attached to the master bedroom, yours, and the other is down the hall a few steps from the smaller bedroom, mine. The smaller bedroom also has a door leading out to the fire escape. The large living room has a bay window jutting out onto a wide street running northwest- this allows plenty of sunlight all day, which is rare in Chicago because most buildings are very close to one another. One wall of the living room is exposed brick with a fireplace (nonfunctional). The apartment was recently renovated with new appliances and central heat/ac. The large TV has cable, netflix, etc. High speed wifi, of course. Central AC.

There's a great view of downtown, but it's from the part of the bay window out of which you can't see unless standing right next to it.

Full access to everything. There is coin operated laundry on the ground floor- let me know if you might want to use it and I'll make a note to have enough quarters to save you the trip.

I work in the loop from 8-5 Monday through Friday. I'll be available by text, phone, email, etc while at work and I'll likely be home in the evening reading or watching TV on my computer in the living room. I'll be more than happy to show you around if you'd like.

The location is great- right on Lincoln Ave, a couple blocks northwest of Fullerton Ave, in a great area of Lincoln Park. There are beautiful brick apartments everywhere you look, as well as businesses and parks. The neighborhood is close to the lake, the loop/museums, Wrigley, and many other attractions.

A block north is Jonquil Park, with beautiful new tennis courts (we have 4 rackets and balls for use), and a couple blocks south is the larger Oz Park, with statues of the Oz characters.

Within a one block radius are restaurants, blues bars, cafes, bars, and shops. There are several Mexican places, a Dutch/Indonesian one, a Venezuelan one, a Jamaican one with live music, Japanese and Chinese, German, etc. Right downstairs is an Irish bar and a couple sushi places. Also a block away is Kingston Mines, the famous blues bar (and B.L.U.E.S. bar is down the street from there). The Biograph Theater, in front of which John Dillinger was shot and killed by federal agents in 1934, is down the street about a block and still retains its vintage facade.

According to Walk Score, this location has a walk score of 93, classified as a "walker's paradise" in which "daily errands do not require a car". It also has a transit score of 83 and a bike score of 89.

The Fullerton Ave CTA "El" train station is about an 8 minute walk away and is a stop for the Red, Brown and Purple lines. All three go through downtown, and the only other station at which all three stop is Belmont, three stops north. The Red line runs roughly along the lake, from far north to far south Chicago. The purple line runs from the far north down to the loop. The brown runs from the northwest to the loop. Once in the loop, it's easy to catch any train.

My daily commute door to door from the apartment to my office a block from the Quincy stop in the southern-most part of the loop is 30 minutes. The train itself is 15 minutes and you don't wait long for it.

There are always Ubers and Lyfts hanging out just around the corner.

The bus also runs along Fullerton Ave and Halsted St.

There's a Divvy bike station a couple blocks down. They're basically bikes you can rent and bike around to dock at any of the many stations throughout the city.

I'll have some essentials you're welcome to use like milk, eggs, good coffee, etc. Let me know if there's something in particular you'd like and I'll pick it up before you come to save the trip and hassle of remembering once you get here.
