Private room/bathroom in updated home in historic Morehead Hill neighborhood, 1 mi. to Brightleaf Square, 1.5 mi. to heart of downtown, very convenient to Rt.147, I-40, I-85, 18 min. to RDU airport. Access to kitchen, living space, yard, and porch.
Uniquely decorated and thoughtfully furnished by our resident artist ;), our beautifully updated 1928 bungalow is just the best! We love this house. It has all of the cool and pretty things (hardwood floors, granite kitchen counter tops, glass door knobs, glass french doors, historically restored windows), but it also has a warm and cozy feel to it that we've cultivated.
This room has has a full-size Keetsa eco-friendly mattress (latex on top and springs on the bottom) a large desk for working, closet space and an adjacent bathroom with a shower. The mattress sleeps two guests comfortably. The room is in the back of the house and has its own semi-private entrance. Guests will also have access to the laundry room as it is adjacent to their bath room. The owners will be present in a room on the opposite side of the house during your stay.
The kitchen is fully updated and equipped, including a dishwasher. We cook daily and our collection of cookware, utensils and supplies reflect that. We will be happy to share the kitchen and give guests plenty of space to cook and use the refrigerator during their stay.
Guest will also have access to the spacious backyard which includes a two person hammock and a patio complete with a six person outdoor dining set, additional seating, a charcoal grill and a chiminea for fires. The front porch has a swing and a covered area with a fan.
Zugang für Gäste

We will be in town, and more than likely around during the day when guests are in the room (we both work from how). We will be in the house during the evening and night as well. If we are not around, then we'll be available at all times via email or cell phones which we will provide.
No smoking. No pets. We love pets, but due to allergies we just can't have them in the house.
2 night minimum stay.
One of the homeowners has Celiac Disease, so unfortunately, we need to be very careful about gluten in the kitchen. We apologize for the inconvenience, but CD is no joke, so we ask that you respect these needs. We will have a separate toaster for glutinous bread and we respectfully ask that you do not bake or make glutinous items (pancakes, waffles, etc..) in the kitchen. We'll provide some gluten free pancake/waffle mix and baking flour.

Hey there! Thanks for looking! Here's a little bit about us: Damon is an environmental educator and Sara is a residential summer camp director, artist, and birth doula. We met at summer camp when we were 14. Pretty cute, right? We are avid local and fresh food eaters and we cook on the daily. We are finally starting to tame our backyard and have been enjoying growing a vegetable and herb garden. We love Durham and we love our house and we think you will, too! We enjoy riding our bikes around town, especially to the Farmer's Market and the many awesome shops, bars, and restaurants within biking and walking distance of our house. We also love hopping on the American Tobacco Trail, just two blocks away! When we find the time, we like to sit on our front porch swing and sip wine while chatting with our lovely neighbors (seriously, you guys, we have the best neighbors).
We look forward to opening up our home to you and doing what we can to make your stay enjoyable and peaceful!
