Happy Shady Acres Heights House
Der Wohnraum
Shady Acres is an eclectic neighborhood in Houston's Heights area which is close to all the major freeways, business districts, and downtown. The area is booming and there are fabulous restaurants in walking distance. It is 20 minutes from the airports. The rentable area is a guest bedroom, TemPurpedic bed, large guest bath, Wi-Fi, water and coffee available. Private garage holds one vehicle. Security system. A wonderful alternative to a hotel in the nation's 4th largest city.

I have a guest bedroom with large, private bath available in a cute 3/2.5 patio home built in 2007 in Shady Acres neighborhood of the Historic Houston Heights. There is a Quaker church right by and a little park. I can accommodate 2 in the guest room. The house has an alarm system and you will have a garage opener to use so you can pull your vehicle in off the street. The neighborhood is relatively safe for an urban neighborhood and the neighbors are friendly. You will be given the code for the WIFI upon booking.
Breakfast is self-serve, mostly smoothies and oatmeal or cereal. Will provide specifics upon request.
Pets are not allowed.
Interaction with Guests
Am pretty busy. I respond to Airbnb messages, phone or text any time.

Am close to :

There is a lot to do within walking distance:
Crisp is open a couple of blocks away and it is amazing. Always packed. Brunch on weekends. Live music on weekends. La Hacienda is also a short walk and is wonderful Tex Mex. Down the street is Cedar (email hidden) with great salads and sandwiches, Hubcap Grill, Texas Monthly says it is the best hamburgers in Texas, the Corkscrew, wine, pizza, live music, Tony’s Mexican Restaurant, Tecate, great Mexican breakfast, all a few blocks away. There is an Office Depot right around the corner and a small HEB grocery store.
Other areas close by in the Heights are Boom Boom Room (a wine and panini bar), Heights Asian Cafe, and Jus' Mac (mac and cheese restaurant), Millroy Park- basketball and tennis courts
Chilosos Taco House, Jenni's Noodle House and beautiful Heights Blvd. which has a walk/run/bike path and connects to the Heights-to-Downtown bike path
The 19th street downtown heights area has great restaurants-Vietnamese, Thai Spice, Colina’s, Menchies, coffee shops, antique shops, retro clothing stores, art galleries, a yoga studio, a gym, craft shops, and Opera in the Heights. Some restaurants in the Heights are dry, but you can bring your own bottle of wine and they charge you a small "corking fee."
Also Dan Electro's Guitar Bar where you can hear live blues.
The super shuttle will get you to my house for about $25. The bus system inside the 610 loop is not bad. You can get directions for the buses on (website hidden) maps- ask me if you're not sure how to do this.
The mountain bike is available for rental for $3 each/day.
