This ground floor apartment with parking is also walking distance from St Austell main train line station for those travelling by train. Walking distance to the town. Also located approximately 2 miles from the beach and the historic harbor at Charlestown, where the BBC series Poldark was filmed. The Eden Project is a bus ride or 10 minute car drive, 3 miles away. Its a great base from which to explore the whole of Cornwall.

Lovely little apartment. It has everything you need. It is also perfectly located for St austell and charlestown harbour, which is beautiful. We took wine down one night and watched the sunset! There is everything you need in the flat: iron and board glasses mugs microwave towels even salt, pepper and vinegar. The shower is good as is the bed. We had a comfortable stay. I would recommend to anyone.

The flat in Saint Austell was a simple but perfect little flat. It was well located to lots of tourist attractions (north Cornwall was just a half an hour drive) and it had local amenities a short walk away. The host was very quick at responding to any questions prior to the trip and was very helpful with Information about the local area.

We wanted a nice, cheap, place in Cornwall to enjoy our holiday and Shannon's place lived up to that! It's right next to some beaches that are so beautiful I couldn't believe they were in England! The whole process of getting the keys was great too, and Shannon just left us to it. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks a lot for a fantastic 5 days (including the last minute extra one ;) )

Upon arrival at the flat we were not too happy with the state of the premises but it was late and we did not want to bother the host. The television did not work, with all the wires on the floor behind. We connected and reconnected the TV many times but still it did not work. I went to shower and was disgusted by the state of it - I had to clean the shower before I got in it, and both the shower handle and toilet roll holder in the bathroom fell off as soon as touched. We went to cook in the kitchen but the microwave was in such a horrible state that we did not wish to put any food in it and ordered in instead. Upon going to bed, we discovered that the sheets were dirty and had multiple stains. The window in the bedroom did not shut making it very cold, and there were cobwebs everywhere. Furthermore, the mattress itself was very damp. This is further evidenced by the damp patch on the floor upon entry into the bed room. We contacted Shannon the next day to discuss these problems. Despite originally telling us we were his first Airbnb customers, he said he had just gotten new cleaners and agreed that they had not done an adequate enough job. He offered to refund the first night and said he would try to contact a cleaner but this might not be possible. Later on he contacted to say he would not be able to get a cleaner out until 10am the next day. We were not willing to stay any longer in a very very damp bed and although we debated sleeping on the couch, we had come away to celebrate my boyfriends 30th and did not wish to have to top and tail on a cold couch. Additionally, the parking was very very unsafe, and a rock from the unstable wall actually fell onto the front off my car, knocking the front panel off. The people in the apartment above were smoking weed and playing very loud music until 4am. The overall experience was very upsetting and we had to spend 2 hours of one day trying to find adequate accomdation. Shannon refunded half the money, as he stated it was our wish to leave the property. This is untrue - we had no choice. Both off us were very uncomfortable staying in such a dirty accommodation and were both very sniffly with bad chests from sleeping in a damp bed. He was also very rude saying it could have been resolved differently had I answered my phone - he rang twice within a very short space of time and did not leave a voicemail, and ignored my first texts in which I sent photographs of all the above complaint. I was trying to enjoy the Lost Gardens of Heligan and did not have my phone out. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

This is the first time I have let the property via Air B n B and with such a poor review I want to thank Amanda for pointing out some of the issues that I was unaware of. Cleanliness: I agreed with Amanda, upon seeing photos, that the cleaner hadn't done a good enough job. In a phone conversation she accepted a £30 deposit. I tried to get a cleaner at short notice as we had the conversation on the Friday afternoon and the best I could do was first thing the following morning. I called to see if that was ok but had no response. The next I heard she had decided to vacate early. I felt it more appropriate to refund £57.50 which was 50% of her booking fee rather than the £30 we had agreed . The dirty toaster and microwave have now been replaced with new as has been some of the linen. TV not working. Before their stay I had an ariel specialist in putting in new TV points. He hadn't reconnected the TV cables so I take responsibility for that. It turned out it was the TV that was faulty rather than the ariel. A new TV has now been purchased, cables connected and is working. Shower handle and toilet roll holder fixed The window was left in the safety open position to let air in without leaving the window fully open. Standard feature of double glazed windows. It works fine and closes correctly. Unstable Wall: This is the first I have heard of this as there is no wall within the parking space, more of an earth mound. A loose rock falling off and knocking the front panel off the car is very intriguing and I wonder why this wasn't brought to my attention immediately. Maybe I have misunderstood this part of the complaint. The parking space is accessed most easily by reversing past and then pulling forward into it. Noisy neighbours: This is definitely not the norm. However I appreciate it is not acceptable and I have spoken with the neighbours concerned. Whilst I do not agree with some of the complaints I have resolved the issues that are within my control. I am sorry that Amanada did not have a good stay. I want all my guests to have a pleasant and comfortable experience in this beautiful part of the world.
