Quiet neighbourhood on the hill. Friendly welcoming hosts with plenty of local knowledge. Lovely upstairs bedroom with comfortable Queen size bed - and as for the views.......
A light breakfast of cereals, fruit and toast is provided using seasonal garden produce. Handy to various casual dining places.
Million dollar views of Oamaru town, harbour, and the Pacific Ocean are yours to enjoy from your room when you stay in this warm modern home. From your bedroom on the first floor you will have exclusive use of bathroom and separate toilet, and access to downstairs tea and coffee making facilities and microwave if you need to heat a meal. Sorry but we do not allow cooking.
You are most welcome to join your hosts in the lounge for a chat or a spot of TV in the evening.
There is off street parking and a short drive or 15/20minute walk to the town centre and Historic Precinct. Oamaru is well served with places to dine out and there are several casual eating places close by.
A light breakfast is provided and will be available from 8-00 to 9-30am. You will have a choice of cereals including Nareeta's famous muesli with yoghurt and seasonal fruits from the garden and toast with a choice of home made jams also from the garden where possible.
If you like to walk, it is only a minute to the Glen Warren Reserve where there are a choice of walks with even more stunning views. And of course there are the many attractions in the Historic Precinct including the Steam Punk Headquarters where, for an other worldly experience, you "must" visit "The Portal".
In the evenings you may see the little Blue Penguins waddle ashore at dusk when they return to their colony from their days fishing out at sea.
When you're done exploring historic Oamaru, Steampunk's quirky creations, the harbour and penguins, there is much more to see along the coast at Kakanui, Moeraki and Shag Point with their unique geology and wildlife.

Hi - welcome to my Airbnb page. I am a well travelled creative type who always has a project on the go. The current passions are photography, painting and mosaics although the garden takes much of my time. I enjoy swapping travel tales, and I love helping people to make the most of their NZ travel. I really enjoy hosting people from all over - it's the next best thing to actual travel and I've met some lovely people through Airbnb. I love to garden and take great pleasure in picking fresh vegetables and herbs that I have grown myself as organically as I can.. I like to keep informed about world events. I have a good sense of humour (and the ridiculous) and don't believe in taking myself or life too seriously as I get older.
