The cabins are rustic, but well-kept and in a beautiful area! Vincent was very communicative and responsive to whatever needs arose. We had a great family gathering with friends here and would recommend them to others looking for a fun weekend getaway!

The location is beautiful. The cabins are clean and I slept great. If you require internet or cell service this might not be the place for you, but if you are looking to unplug, it's awesome. There is a lot to do and see and the area is so pretty. Sure, the owner is still working on the place but it's still a great place. When's he's done, it's gonna be awesome.

Our family of five had a fantastic time. Amazingly serene and beautiful with the right mix of rustic and summer camp. Loved cooking by the bonfire under the stars and s'mores on the bonfire. The small mountain lake with kayaks and a wood burning sauna were a hit with the kids and adults. Also just a few Mikes from a cute town with a couple of good restaurants and stores. Ideal for those who love the idea of camping but need a bed, electricity and running water. We'll be back!

thanks so much Shane for the wonderful feedback. While working within the beauty of the setting here, we will continue to improve monthly and hope to have you back soon to see some added improvements that will not spoil the serene and natural beauty.

This is my new favorite place to camp. The whole campground is delightful and feels like a trip back in time. The cabin was more spacious and cozy than I had anticipated, the shared kitchen and dining area are big and have everything you could need, and all of the spaces around camp are inviting and easy to enjoy. We were there on a very rainy, cold day, and still loved it! We felt very welcome and I only wish we had stayed longer.

The cabin is great! Very basic with single beds. It can get very cold at night if the temperature outside is low, so definitely bring blankets and a heater if you have one. The cabin has electricity and there's a shower and bathroom outside the cabin. My favorite part was the shared kitchen cabin, though we were the only ones using it. A perfect place to sit down and chat over a cup of coffee.

Buffalo Gap has lots of charm (and nostalgia for anyone who's ever been to camp). It was great for a big group - we loved the big table in the kitchen for group meals and hanging out. Great times hanging out by the lake, and at the campfire too. Real bathrooms and stall showers will be a big improvement.

Buffalo Gap is a little slice of heaven. The scenery, the atmosphere, and the plethora of activities available will have you planning trips for consecutive summers out there. Vincent is a communicative, and friendly host - we saw him on-site during our last day there and it was a pleasure meeting and speaking with him. The cabins are cozy, and large - the communal kitchen is a whole cabin itself with a couple of dining areas and board games so you'll be tempted to stay even after having finished eating dinner. Plus, you're bound to meet other great families during your stay which will enhance the overall experience. The dining hall is spacious, laden with entrainment sources for kids and adults alike: ping-pong, darts, board games, foosball, and air hockey to name a few. The lake just down the hill from that has a sandy beach with a volleyball net, a lake house where you can sit in the shade and watch the kids kayak, canoe, fish, and swim if you aren't out there yourself having a blast! If you need groceries or food there are restaurants about a 10 minute drive away, and Wal-Mart is about 15-20 minutes away. All in all, this is a great place to stay whether with friends or family. My family and I highly recommend it.
