Beautiful monumental house nearby Arnhem and at walking distance of de Veluwe, within 15 minutes driving to musea like Kröller-Müller and Holland Open Air museum but also to Burgers Zoo.
Situated in a quiet street, with a great view. Nice bars and restaurants at walking and cycling distance. Excellent place for nature lovers, with a biological supermarket around the corner and free for use biological herb garden. Kids will enjoy the many toys in and outside the house and two playgrounds nearby.
A house with a lot of light coming through the windows. Expecially the kitchen receives a lot of sunlight and has a nice view on the green neighbourhood with charming old farms and houses. The kitchen has a big table and is the place to cook, eat and meet.
The garden is in front of the whole length of the house and provides you with a green view. It is free acccessible. You can sit and eat in the garden at the 6-persons wooden table and benches. There also is a lounge corner with a wooden bench.

Weitere wichtige Infos
We are still constructing this old monument and there are details of the house not finished. Our guests have not been disturbed by it at all so far. It is also part of the charm of the house.
In de basement, a part of a souvenir of the Second World War ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) can ben seen. There are words written on the walls 'zijn want morgen leven wij' ('be because we will live tomorrow) This is what is left of the phrase: 'Laten we drinken en vrolijk zijn want morgen leven wij' (Let us drink en be merry, because we will live tomorrow). This was painted to give courage and express hope during the war. In this basement people sheltered during bombings and after the war NSB-members that supported the 'enemy' during the war were held prisoner here.
Dedicated mother of two boys (7 and 8), married to Gerben and working with passion as a therapist (haptotherapy) in my practice at home. I like gardening, growing my own vegetables and herbs and cooking ecological spices. Reading and running in the woods are also activities I enjoy a lot. Gerben and I love to travel and we have been at quite some different destinations in Australia, Asia, Africa and America. Since we have kids, we are exploring beautiful Europe during the summer holidays. Three years ago we moved to this monumental house and have been quite busy renovated it. We are proud of the result.
